My 4 year old daughter and I normally go to the movies every Friday on post since hubby's at training, it's a mommy daughter thing. Now that we have officially PCSed (relocated) it's was time to find a new theater. I personally love a deal and it's not about the latest show but time for us to hangout.I wasn't really sure what this experience was going to be like being I've heard mixed reviews from friends. I saw they have a $1 Friday kids movie so I decided to give it a try. I abosultly loved the gentleman at the ticket booth, just friendly and personable, unlike other locations that rarely speak. Concern- It was a urine odor in the hall outside the theater however it also was a very large summer camp lined up preparing to leave someone may have had an accident and it wasn't the carpet ‍ idk but I didn't smell it in the theater 3. I normally like reserved recliner seating however the leather spinning chair at the private circle chair was an absolute win for my daughter. It was nice she had room to move without disrupting others and I was comfy. I was thinking this would be an awesome activity for all her friends to come to, great space. Concern - customer service left the building with my 1st server he just didn't seem happy to have to work the kids movie . He wasn't rude so I was going to roll with it but I guess he's shift ended being I did end with another server, she was very friendly. Concern -Took a little longer to get my order than expected but it actually worked out and my little one still had popcorn throughout the movie, win for mom being no refill required. Okay, so to be honest, this Cinema Cafe is my last choice with the new Edinburgh location being opened, but I take my summer camp kids here every summer. The service they give us is great. I took my 3rd and 4th graders here to watch a PG film, and to my astonishment, they showed a rated R horror movie preview. I (and many mothers of young kids) were very unhappy with this. I was very pleased the manager apologized, refunded the children $2 per ticket, and also gave each of us a free movie voucher. The only thing I wish they would do would be to maybe renovate the seats and tables. But then again maybe I'm just comparing a very old theater to a brand new theater. As you can see, I frequent this theater often. Seating starts 30 min before the movie starts and I like to get there around that time so that I get my food before the movie starts. It's also a good idea if you want to select good seats. The theaters are spacious and they have rolling leather rocking chairs. I have yet to have bad service and the food is good. read more

I have to admit that I was surprised by this Cinema Café location. I fell for this theatre! The customer service is excellent! The food is excellent! And the prices are unbeatable for a movie after 6pm our ticket prices totaled about $7 for two people. ***Amazing Price*** The only con that I have about this location is that new movies are not shown at this location. However, they still show fairly new movies they are just behind a month or so. Definitely check them out. We will definitely be back. read more

Cinema Cafe! It's a great place to go for a date night or just fun time with friends. My favorite is $1.50 Tuesdays! You can't beat that at the other cinemas in the area. The movie selection is nice for when you've missed the new releases by a couple months, which is especially good for my husband who just got back from deployment. As for the quality of the actual theater (screen and sound) it's definitely below par. The screen is a bit small and the sound and lighting is *ok*, and of course having the waiters come by can be a little interrupting. But for me, the overall experience of dinner and a movie overrides those details. The food is alright as well! Wouldn't go here just for the food, but what I've had has been excellent. You can't beat their popcorn and drink prices, which makes up for the moderately priced regular meals. One shortcoming of this Cinema Cafe is their bathrooms... To me, they're outdated and a little dirty. The overall place feels old as well, with some terribly squeaky chairs and old carpets. This location is not the most grand cinema cafe I've been too. It has a more local movie theater vibe to it. If you're okay with an older theater, this is still a great place to catch a movie. Service is a bit slower, but still friendly and consistent. There's only three theaters and movie prices are around $6. They have a good family deal too--for $24 you can get a pizza, large pitcher of soda, and a large popcorn. I normally split that with a friend or get their bone-in wings. Went to this Cinema Cafe with my 12 year old daughter to see LEGO movie, man stole my wallet during the movie , manager came and lied in court saying things against me and the officers statement and testified on the criminals behalf, maybe he didn't remember correctly how things went down but this man did steal my wallet and had no remorse, turned things around on me as most liars do. My daughter was old enough to know what happened and saw it all the manager did not! The manager did not witness the whole horrific event go down but I clearly did because it happened to me and I lived the nightmare, I didn't sleep for days after and neither did my daughter. We went to court and he spoke of how upset I was he said i was raising my voice and being frantic , well of course I was I got robbed just trying to see a movie with my daughter I never expected something like this to happen to me and I was very upset That criminal made me and my daughter feel very unsafe to go anywhere alone again and that manager helped him make what he did ok and now he's free to do it again, shame on him! So now he can return to that Cinema Cafe and feels welcome. He is a VIP customer!! He feels like they have his back. So ladies Beware when going here he could be sitting next to you next time looks like a normal guy. I have been going to this theatre for years and always loved the service, the sweet man that sells the tickets, the great wait staff but now I will never return. Who lets their customers come to their establishment get robbed and then sticks up for the robber??! Nice small cozy dinner and movie place. The night I went, their bathrooms had some plumbing issues but the staff had already coordinated the use of the bathrooms at the salon across the way. The food wasn't bad. The chicken tenders and fries are fairly simple but still good. Fries and chicken tenders weren't under nor overcooked. The chicken nachos were a surprise. They were quite tasty. Highly recommend them. Hope they weren't just a special for the time being as they were listed on a separate insert for the menu. Brownie sundae was good enough to satisfy a sweet tooth or counter any salty flavors from the main courses. The theater itself was good. They have assigned reclining chairs which you can purchase tickets ahead of time online. They still didn't have an alert button like the other Cinema Cafes but hopefully that is remedied soon. Patrons had to just wave down a passing server or hope their server checks them regularly . A bit of a downer but not a total turn off. read more

We had garlic parmesan wings (cooked through nicely) and split the Kevin Bacon burger. We're glad we did because that burger all the way weighs at least a pound. Our server was unobtrusive and attentive and did not interrupt our movie viewing experience. The menu is extensive and should appeal to all tastes and palettes. With a low admission charge ($6.50!), we believe we saved money by going to the movies this way. We may never go to a regular Cineplex again. read more

My husband looooves going to the cinema. We usually go at night and try to have dinner before or after watching a movie. After we learned about this cinema cafe we always eat while watching a movie. Plus is close home. Tickets are cheaper than normal cinemas and food is not expensive either. You'll be very surprised, food here is gooood! My husband loves the gyro and I usually have their chicken quesadillas. Service is not too slow and so far the waiters are always attentive, fast and quite when needed. You'll think you may hear people eating or the waiters walking with food and interrupting, well...nope! They do a great job, they are quite and always make sure you have everything you need before, during and after the movie. It may be a little bit too dark when eating but it's not a big deal. read more

Instead of the stadium seating that you will inevitably get your legs crushed when the goofball in front of you leans back you sit in a normal roller chair sitting around a table, all while watching a movie that just left the big theaters. This place has drafts, sit back and enjoy. - The movie selection is great and has all of the movies the just left the normal theaters. - They have a great staff that know when to whisper so they do not disturb the movie setting and when to speak up so you can hear them over the dragon laying waste to the village on the screen behind them. - There are some nights when the cost of the movie is $1.00 or $2.00... Its kinda awesome. They know that they are making their money on the food and drink so why not try and get warm bodies in the seats by offering a lower rate on admission. - The food cost is still a little high(er) than normal. It is less than the normal movie theaters but sometimes you get shell shocked just looking at the menu. - For the health conscience... Broccoli Bites. Wow are these things good. Broccoli, Cheese and Bacon inside a breaded shell shaped like a head of Broccoli... Don't Judge... its still a Veg. "The Meh" - Sometimes a chair will have a squeaky wheel... they need to issue WD-40 along with the pen and order pad. Not over the top great...but I like the idea of being able to relax in some comfortable chairs and have food brought to you for a descent price. I really, really wanted to like this place more than with what we left with. Upon entering, the facility is rather nice in appearance. I like the modern look and the way you feel as far as the décor. This new feeling is kept everywhere throughout the facility - bathrooms, main lobby, and the theatre itself. I really did enjoy this from a broad perspective. However, like most things, it's the details that start to nail you. First off, they don't do a very good job of controlling the lines as far as who gets to go in first. To be fair, it could be because we came for a movie that has been out for awhile AND it was an off-time. However, it was one of those things that just could've been a "nice-to-know". When you buy your ticket, say you're in theatre 4, you'll go to the right and when you turn, there will be 4 doors, each with a theatre number above the door. Behind those doors is a main hallway for entry into each of the theatres. Apparently, when the door to your theatre is closed, that means you cannot enter yet. That wasn't very well portrayed as myself and a few others were left kind of confused on if we "sneak" in to get the seat we want or not. After figuring it out, a group of us waited in line behind the door. Well, as I mentioned above, some people didn't know (or not cared), and just walked in and sat wherever. Is this is a big deal in the grand scheme of things? Not really; however, when you're 2nd in line like I was b/c I wanted to really scope out our seat, it becomes a little perturbing. Next up was the food ordering process and the part of this that sells "the experience". Our waiter was very prompt on initial hello's and ordering but things fell quickly after that. We ordered the two beers/waters, mozzarella sticks, the shrimp platter, and a philly cheese steak. Promptly the beers came out (yay). Then the sticks came out. Eight sticks and honestly, there was absolutely nothing special about these. Considering we have a small deep fryer in our house, we could've easily done this at home with a frozen order from the grocery store. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. The shrimp, same deal, French fries, all of it was mind blowingly lack-luster. This sucks because you pay quite a premium for this quality of food. To top it off, our server never came back to ask if we needed refills (we actually took it one step further and even put our cups in the middle aisle to hint "we need water"). There is one thing that I can say I was left slightly confused about and I'll note it here to be fair. There is a button on your eating area which I'm fairly confident is used to notify the server in need of something. Should I have used it to notify our server we needed water? Yes. But I honestly didn't know if that was the protocol for "everything". Yet again, another thing that wasn't explained when coming here. Had the server simply said: "If you need anything, refills, more beer, etc. - hit that button." I would've thought it to be customary to use that button for a simple water refill. If you want to get the best experience here, do yourself a favor - buy the tickets, possibly a beer, but just get popcorn and call it a day. After the tickets, food and tip, we left spending nearly $60. For food that was very not worthy of that price tag. I really wanted to give them a better review! I was so excited to take my kids here to see the grinch! First of all the prices I saw listed here are NOT the prices I paid! I bought my tickets online because it is a busy time of year and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not given the option to select seats but at least I knew I would get in. I paid almost $27 for 3 kids and an adult. We got there early but not early enough to get a good seat at a counter so we ended up at a table with bigger style computer chairs. Ok I guess. They don't really recline and they roll All Over. We ordered food. A bit expensive but not outrageous ‍ I got the chicken sandwich and fries and my kids got kids meals. My chicken was not very good. The flavor was ok but it was very tough and firm. Kind of hard to chew. My kids liked their popcorn and they got free refills so yay for that. We got the banana cheesecake egg roll things for dessert. They were good! The theater overall was nice but our chairs were SOOO LOUD!!!!!! Squeak squeak squeak every time we moved it was seriously horrible. I was worried we were bothering others and I was so uncomfortable from trying not to move which is very hard while you eat! My girlfriend brought me here on our forth of July weekend vacation to show me what it was about. We saw Age of Ultron and I loved the theater. The only complaint I really have is the chairs. They were low grade office chairs and I felt could have been a tad nicer, but other than that I have nothing bad to say. The movie tickets are dirt cheap and the food is well priced. We ordered a pitcher of sangria and a large popcorn with white cheddar cheese and both were delicious. The server was prompt and we enjoyed the movie, drink and food very very much. Returned here for a second time July 20th (so last Sunday). This time we were a party of three. We saw Rio 2 as that was the only movie playing at the time and we were hungry. We were in a different theater this time from what I last remembered. We sat at the very back near the computer station and the exit, in chairs that were really comfortable. I was actually trying to recall if these were the same chairs from our last visit. We all ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, 2 waters, 1 soda, 1 smoothie and we split a basket of mozzarella sticks. The burger much to my surprise was really good. The fries were your average crinkle cut fries, still tasty as well and our server was nice. Walked away with a $50.00 bill plus we spent $2.50 a ticket. Not bad considering that's what we'd spend had we dined out at a traditional restaurant. The seats are rather comfortable and it is easy to see the movie no matter where you're sitting in the theater. My only complaint is the quantity of seats for the size of the theater. This theater was not what I had expected. The young lady selling tickets was very pleasant. Upon entering, you notice that the place is pretty immaculate and well decorated for a theater. It is easy to navigate around with having to ask anyone. The bathrooms (well, at least the ladies) was clean and well-stocked. The server was very nice, but service was very slow. I don't know if they were understaffed or what the deal was, but I would advise that you carry some snacks in your purse or jacket because you could be waiting awhile for someone to come and take your order. The picture and sound was good. I didn't feel as though I was going to leave deaf and the most distant seating allows for a good view. The seating is comfortable with plenty of space for whatever you order. I deducted one star for the slow food service. Another thing I forgot to mention is that when the movie started, no one came in to turn down the lights. My son had to get up and mention it to one of the employees and they failed to turn off the one in the very back so he got up and turned it off himself. I would recommend this theater. read more

My boyfriend and I were here Sunday night for The Walking Dead premiere. We got there early so we could get a seat. The front of the theater was very clean and nicely decorated for Halloween. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. The ladies bathroom was fairly clean but had water or something all over the floor and it smelled like urine. The actual theater was clean. The service in the theater SUCKED. It was not even close to a packed theater, yet it took forever to get service. We ordered a brownie sundae, to share, and they brought us ONE spoon. I've been to this location multiple times as I like their Wednesday night deals ($3.50 except Sony pictures) and since I'm part of their mailing club I get coupons. Depending on the movie the theater can get crowded pretty quick so make sure you arrive early to get good seats. The seating is nice even though they are close to each other. Aside from that the seating isn't too bad. You can still get a decent view of the screen no matter where you sit. The staff is always nice, I have yet to have a bad experience with them or the ticket sellers. They are pretty accommodating in using coupons and attending to the guests at hand. The food is pretty good. I usually get the broccoli bites granted they are a bit expensive. They have daily deals on some of their items. I wish they would bring back the $5 burger on Wednesdays. All in all its a cool place to catch a film. read more
