It is definitely a great place to stop by if you want to get your hands on the latest equipment. However, I did have one notable downside regarding their trade-in process. Their valuation for used gear is not competitive compared to other major name-brand companies. In my case, their offer fell short by about $300 to $400 (which was not used retail). When I showed an associate the legitimate competitive offer I had received elsewhere, they simply dismissed it and told me to just go with the other company. It was disappointing to see a lack of willingness to work with a customer who had a documented, better offer. Aside from the trade-in experience, it's a solid shop with a great selection. I would recommend it for new purchases, but you might want to look elsewhere if you are trying to get top dollar for your used equipment.

I've sent countless other photographers and producers here. I and am so disappointed to say that their production quality and customer service has become so poor, I've finally thrown in the towel and will never return. Some of the issues I've encountered in the last two years: Numerous rolls damaged in their processor or scanning workflow, prints lost in the shuffle or never delivered on time, and zero communication from their "customer service representatives". The recent fast employee turnover rate comes to no surprise as no one seems to know what they're doing anymore. The majority of staff are all suddenly under 25 years old and there's a "new technician" or counter clerk every week I go in. Just yesterday a man named "Aaron" called me (claiming to be one of the owners, when I personally know the owner Ramesh and Rathin) and tried to solve a problem we were having with some prints. He was completely incompetent and lied about his position at The Icon. With love and respect, I hope they get it back together one day but if you have any care whatsoever about your film, prints or customer service, save yourself the time and money and go literally anywhere else.

WOW!!!!!! I heart Vince... He's the real deal, peeps…read more I scheduled a 1.5-hour shoot with Vince yesterday and met him at his on-location site in Culver City. The outdoor area is beautiful with incredible natural light that Vince took full advantage of... 1.5 hours later, I had 2 burned CD's with 300+ images with 5 different outfit changes (I change fast haha :P ). I was blown away as we were looking at the raw images on Vince's Mac after the shoot. He is insanely talented with a true gift for bringing out the beauty in your core self... I'm normally not too comfortable in front of the camera but Vince made it easy and super fun with creative pose suggestions and helpful hints (i.e. sweet reminders to tuck in my tummy every so often, ha!). Vince has wonderful energy! Light, bright, sweet, fun, creative, and incredibly knowledgable of the art form. I researched him beforehand and saw that he's shot Snoop, Kim K., and a bunch of other celebs and musicians and am honored to have had the incredible opportunity to shoot with him as well. We shot for 2+ hours in natural light, at least 6 different locales and I have to say it was the most pleasurable carefree session to my memory. And not only that, I had the CD of my shots in my hand a mere minutes following the experience! I've now sifted through the 500+ photos and I still can't make up my mind on what photos I should choose to retouch. The images that are part of our family's legacy were brought back to life with such care and beauty. I loved the work so much that I came back again to have a childhood photo restored for 11 of my aunts and uncles as a birthday gift. What he does is truly artistry. He takes his time, pours his heart and soul into every image, and you can feel how much he genuinely cares about the stories behind the photos. In a world where so much is done quickly with AI, he is one of the rare artists still doing this work with incredible skill, patience, and heart. There's also only one working photobooth at the time I went with glasses as the only accessory whereas other spots have way more types of booths and accessories for cheaper. Regardless, it was still a fun activity to do and the staff was nice. The interior is also relatively neat and I liked the decor. I'm unsure if I would come back here, but would maybe since it's the only one of it's kind in the Culver area and I may be in the mood to document with company for the day.

Very nice people but the conversion job was less than satisfactory. They gave me a hard time about…read moreit- blaming the age of the media and not their fault. They say they tried hard and made me feel bad saying they tried it on multiple machines and still the quality was poor. At that point they should have called me but they did not. She claimed it was 1 in 1000 that had this issue. I did the research and pointed out a possible fix; they sent my VHS tape over to their Torrance store and the result was noticeably much better. In the meantime, I missed my deadline and the poor version was not acceptable for the event we were planning to show it at. So I WOULD recommend this business but ONLY the Torrance store with the better equipped deck. I was made to feel bad for insisting on better quality- this was not a good feeling so I do not think I would use them again. (I imagine they are not going to cry about losing me as a customer) In the end, they gave me the fat file so we could do professional corrections on the file so I can still recommend them but they did say up front at the end, that they don't do this usually. And they did NOT charge me extra.

The time it took to convert each set of filmstrips was reasonable. The quality of the converted videos turned out excellent! I am very pleased with how they turned out and have been sharing the links with many friends and family. The videos are truly treasured keepsakes. DVD Your Memories was recommended by one of my cousins and it certainly worked out that this location was very convenient. I can't recommend this place enough!
