Nick not only provided a company drive to deliver the files when my provided drive turned out to be a tad too small (I was getting the files in 4K). The process was quick, affordable and super pro - all films in chronological order, an easy link to the low rez (which already looked perfect), and a fast turnaround on the hi rez files. I was worried who to trust with my family's memories and the film hadn't been stored very well - a giant shoe box in different climates. What a relief to see it all treated with care.

It saddens me that people conduct their business in this way. I was also pressured and forced to pay online in full the night before I was to pick up the tapes or else I couldn't retrieve them. I had to stop what I was doing to pay on my cellphone while being out at a dinner. What a joke. Super unprofessional and horrible experience. I do not recommend.

Michael and his team at IM did an amazing job. They offered to remove the photo from the frame and re-frame it, but decided last minute they could shoot it as is. I wasn't sure how this would turn out, but based on a previous experience with them, I wasn't too worried. When we received the digital copy, we were all very impressed! They really managed to capture the detail of the photograph. IM is now our go-to spot from now on.

They stock lot's of equipment. They probably will have what you need. I rented a Canon 5D housing with an underwater strobe. It worked well and I got some cool pictures. It was quite a bit more expensive than I expected. $225 for the housing, $50 for the light, $45 for a cord (!?) and I think $25 for the strobe arm. The problem with this place is the foul mouthed owner. He runs a very shoddy business. First off, the store is a total wreck. Parts, paper, dirt, unhung photos and very outdated books and magazines. Second, I'm still waiting on a receipt, itemized or anything. But the biggest problem I have with this place is that . . . HE CHARGES SALES TAX ON RENTALS!!!!!!! Initially I paid it because I was confused and the owner mysteriously left the building when it came time to pay leaving his nice unassuming employee to handle the transaction. I later went to Calumet to pick up a rental lens. I asked them if they had ever heard of anyone charging sales tax on rentals. They said no, that's crazy. You have to sell something to get sales tax. So when I brought this up to the obese, sweaty, shirtless owner of A B Sea Photo while returning the rental on a Sunday, he became very angry and said he just had to charge sales tax. I asked him what he had sold me and he got even madder going off on some tangent about the fact that he sells the camera housings after a few years and since they lose so much value, he has to charge sales tax on rental. WHAT????????????????????????????????????????????? The conversation ended with him refusing to refund the sales tax I paid. I asked if I could get an itemized receipt and he said he can only do that during normal business hours not on Sunday's. What a jerk!

Alan the owner was there and offered great prices. If you are looking to rent underwater housings or an underwater camera that is top notch and of high quality then this is the spot and Alan will beat anyone else's prices. If you are traveling North on Sepulveda this place is right past the Airport on your right hand side directly across the street from In-N-Out, it is pretty hard to miss. There is plenty of street parking and additional parking in the back of this spot.

Like the other reviewer below me stated bluntly, Harry Fleenor is the top rolleiflex repair man in the world. I purchased a 2.8E2 Rolleiflex from him in near mint cosmetic condition. The only problem was the shutter was off, the aperature was sticky, and you could barely focus it. Not to worry, this is where Harry shines like no one else can. Whenever you buy a camera from him he restores it mechanically to the day it left the rolleiflex factory in germany. A few weeks after my purchase I picked up my emaculately restored Rolleiflex from 1949. When rolleiflex germany went out of business Harry had the insight to buy their equipment. Even if you don't buy your camera from him I strongly suggest you send it in for him next time you need an overhaul, because when you get it back it will perform as if it was brand new! You won't find a film camera that will give you a more beutiful focus boquet then an antique rolleiflex. Don't expect a bargain, or a overnight turn around, but expect excellent service and quality that exceeds perfection.
