Went to watch creed 3 when it first came out and I usually don't come to this theater because it's not the closest but it had the best seats at the time when we wanted to watch the movie. First impression was that it was unorganized. I literally walked in and there was no one checking tickets and watching the snack area incase anyone left without paying. Now the main reason I didn't like that there wasn't anyone checking tickets is because someone was sitting in my seat claiming they charged them for the same seat. The person was being stubborn and I had to sit in the seats next to it having to sit in a seat that is possibly taken. Thankfully no one had the seat I sat in but it was frustrating. read more

I'm finally getting around to writing a review. I was a little annoyed they brought Cinemark to the mall because I thought it would create a lot of traffic. But I'm actually glad the movie theater is so close to my home literally down the street. I've been here more than a few times and the experience has always been chill. I like the food choices and the theaters are spacious and always clean! If you stay away from the weekend like any other movie theater your experience will be quiet and most enjoyable during the week. You can appreciate the steady Pace or flow of traffic this movie theater gets. I'm not an old soul but I do like to go to the movies and enjoy the movie without any interruption. What I like about Cinemark as well. Is they offer online ticket purchasing or you can purchase your tickets at the kiosk so there is no waiting in line. Keep up the good work! :) read more

YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - 39/100. My normal go-to for flicks was showing the movie I wanted to see, just not on the time slot I wanted. So, I ended up coming through here since the selections were much more abundant. This is my first visit. Walked in and 1 of two kiosks were being used, however, only one was functioning. (I learned a bit later that there are a couple more outside.) Luckily, there was nobody in the regular line, so I headed there instead. Took less than a minute. I skipped the concessions since I just had lunch before getting here. I chose a seat all the way at the back and found my seat in no time. Only issue is it was occupied by some guy sucking face with his girlfriend next to it. They both pretended like they were at the "wrong seats" and walked a few aisles down and took over a couple of random seats. (I have the strong feeling neither one of them had tickets for this movie. It was on a non-peak hour and most seats were vacant.) Nice and roomy leather seats. It swings back and forth a few inches, but nothing extraordinary. One of few movie theaters that doesn't have a lotta clutter. I like that a lot. Decided to speak to the cashier I dealt with and asked about a frequent watcher's program of some sort. He pointed out an ad behind me stating they do have it for a cost. (Cinemark Movie Club for $8.99/month.) Pass. TIP: Parking aplenty at the back of the mall. Overall average experience. Not my first choice for movies, but definitely a good alternative. read more

I recently went here and in all the times I've gone I've never had a problem. I was in auditorium 4 in the last row. I kept hearing a noise and to my shock there was a rat walking on the chairs headed toward me. Needless to say I ran out. When I went to tell someone all I got was a guy smirking and smiling about it. No refund or action to take care of the problem. The customer service was awful. read more

Yikes! This location needs some TLC. It's been at least since 2019 before covid. I last saw a film here, and today, you can see the beating it has taken over the years. The leather seats are worn out, and there's this musty smell oozing from the carpets or just the lack of proper sanitation? Heck, the smell is stronger than the popcorn smell. Maybe it was a previous moviegoer with bad BO that lingered. The biggest thing for me was that the theater was t cleaned out before my showing started. Some isle had trash left over from the previous showing. I really hope this place gets proper attention because this location is one of my favorite go to theater. read more

This is a pretty nice movie theater located inside the Carson. There is a lot of parking, to get to the movie theater you have to enter inside the mall almost in the center. You can purchase your tickets in advance on line or there is a kiosk or at the entrance. The concessions stand is like most very expensive, there is even a Starbucks inside... but seriously it's nice and clean plus the staff were friendly. The theater was pretty clean plus it smell clean also. Don't for get that every Tuesday is a discount day $6.00 all day movies, plus all the time discount for students kids, senior and the military. read more

Went to this theater today for the first time to see Fast and Furious (5:30pm show) . Sorry to say we had to get our money back before our movie started. Everything is absolutely filthy!!! Everything is so dirty, even after the crew cleaned up. Popcorn all over the floors throughout the theater, our shoes stuck to the floor from being so sticky, Dirty tissues were in the cup holder at my seat. We were over it and got our money from the manager. Never again will we go back to this theater. read more

This is probably the best addition to the mall thus far. The theatre is surprisingly bigger than I thought judging by the outside. It's still clean and well organized. There are theatres to the right and left as you walk in, with a concession stand in the middle. It too, is neat because you serve yourself then get in line to pay for your items. Seats are brown leather, recline, spacious, and comfy. Arm rests/cup holders go up or down providing even more room. I love the option of selecting your own seat as you purchase tickets there or online ahead of time. This is handy when popular new releases come out. Employees are very friendly. They tell you exactly which direction to go as you walk in. The only entrance is inside the mall. No biggie; park on the back side of the mall because it may be easier to find a spot. read more

We came to see Moana 2 in theater 7 at 5 pm today.. the movie itself was great except towards the end (last 25-35 mins) the picture turned red, green, and pink. We finished off the movie as did the rest of the guests, and some left to tell staff during the movie, yet nothing was done. After walking out to the front where everyone purchases there tickets, we asked to see a manager to explain the situation. The manager Mark took his sweet time coming out, and then proceeded to give over 30-40 people a huge attitude. He asked why no one came out to say anything and that it could have been fixed immediately. First, I would like to stay that it is nobody's responsibility to get up out of their seat when there's an issue as we are all paying to see a perfectly good movie. Second, the attitude and the unnecessary comments and gestures this manager was making was completely unnecessary. Lastly, understandably guess were upset because we had paid to see a movie that was not working properly. When asking the manager why he was so upset he says that somebody should have came out and said something. I personally am incredibly displeased by the way it was handled. I am a manager myself at an establishment and the way Mark acted was incredibly unprofessional. I would rather spend more money on gas and drive 10 miles farther than to come back here again. Don't waste your time at this movie theater! You can't get upset at your guest when your films don't work properly!!!!!!!! read more

Tbh, this is a best kept secret because this Cinemark is in Carson! Plenty of parking, same movies, comfy seats = no complaints. Growing up in Carson, and having to drive to Long Beach or Rolling Hills was a drag. While not far away or the fanciest choice of movie theaters, finally having a movie theater in Carson was a blessing. It is worth making a trek to Carson than taking a risk on other theaters in LA without promise that you'd even get the movie ticket of your choosing. I watched Star Wars Episode IX the day it got out, and there was PLENTY of space left in the XD theater. Yep. NBD. I haven't tried the movie snacks, but whatever. It does the job! read more

Nice theater, with caveats. This theater is in the Carson Mall. It's nearer Burlington. Park in the back versus the front for easier access. It looks nice. Updated and all... except when it comes to seating. To be a new theater, lounge seating would have been preferred. Okay customer service. Always a whole bunch of employed high school kids with carefree attitudes. There is ALWAYS too much of a wait to get concessions here. Literally one movie playing on a Wednesday afternoon with two people in line, and you will STILL have to wait. So when it's a Friday night? Hang it up and eat prior at Five Guys, SanSoi, Panera, Olive Garden, etc. Theater and hallways are kept clean. read more

We used to come here quite a bit when the Cinemark movie club was a good deal and had a very convenient app experience for reserving seats at a fair price. Then AMC came along with A-List and blew that up. We've generally enjoyed our experiences here, and the occasional special engagement shows have been a nice change of pace. Concession lines can move quite slowly, however. I don't know how they've fared in the pandemic. We had a lousy experience one time when the feature got stuck on what looked like a DVD menu. It ended up just being something called a DCP, which an employee forgot to setup correctly, leaving the audience to sit there laughing at how stupid that was. They ended up giving us a free voucher for another movie, which was a nice gesture. I don't see myself coming back here unless it's to watch a movie I can't find at an AMC. The theater is located in a large mall in Carson with ample parking. We tend to find it most convenient to park on the far side in the direction of Harbor Freight if you don't want to have to walk through the entire mall to get to the theater. read more

Filthy. Let me save you an uncomfortable experience. I recommend you watch a movie elsewhere. I'd much rather sit outside in the pouring rain to watch a movie rather than sitting inside this horrid mess of a theatre. The concession stand was as if a hurricane passed right through it. Popcorn, straws, and dirty napkins covered the floors & the unsupervised kids/teens spilled their icees all over the counters and floors. My shoes kept sticking to the floor due to the dirtiness. I almost reached out to my local fire department to physically remove my shoes from the floors. I thought things might get better as I got to my seat. However, I was wrong. The seats are dirty and the leg space is horrible. The people behind me kept kicking me and bumping into my chair when going to the restroom. I've already recommended all my friends and family to avoid this theatre location. read more

Theatre is an average place to catch movies. I like that on tuesdays they have $6 day. It's close and parking is plentiful. I normally park by the post office entrance to get closer to the theatre entrance which is inside the mall. If you come during the week, there is usually only a few people working which can lead to long lines if you're going on a Thursday night movie release. When the theatre first opened, it was very clean but the last couple of times I went over the last two months the bathrooms have been a mess each time, especially the upstairs bathroom for the XD theatre. They should have someone in schedule to routinely check the restrooms to at least sweep. I'll still be back to catch a quick movie but it's definitely not luxury. read more

I haven't seen a movie in about 2 years. I've been wanting to go back to the theaters but hadn't seen any movies out that peaked my interest. I was in the area waiting to check into my hotel and decided to kill some time with watching a movie. I saw Candyman at noon on Labor Day. There was a total of 5 people in the theater. The seats were comfy and spacious enough. The theater was very clean. Lobby and concession stand nice. I used the bathroom prior to the film and that was clean as well. All in all it was a good experience back at the movies. I have never been to this theater before and will remember this location for the future. read more

2nd time at this theater, TODAY; first time I came here was for "The Forest" and I didn't have the best experience. The movie had just come out. It was late at night and the theater was packed w/ really immature people; being loud, talking all throughout movie...basically lacking any kind of movie theater etiquette! Today's visit... was a different ball game! I went in for $6 Tuesday! Caught a Morning showing for "Sully". I had to walk thru the mall to get to the movie theater. I got in line (1 person ahead of me) and when it was my turn the cashier was very friendly. I took my ticket and went to the concession stand. They have so much to choose from but I just kept it simple w/ a bottled drink and popcorn (see photo attached). The guy at the concession stand HOOKED MY POPCORN UUUUP! It was finger lickin' good! Then you go over to another counter to pay and the cashier there was nice as well. Fast Forward: got into the theater and there was no one there! I was so elated... until another person showed up *insert frown*. I was thinking please don't let them be loud and rude. The person turned out to be an elderly lady *insert smile*. The most I heard out of her while watching the movie was a couple of snores... lol She wasn't too loud so everything panned out well. :D CONS: I really don't like that you have to walk into the mall to get inside the movie theater. I wish they would make another entrance that's adjacent to the outside parking lot. Came here to claim my free movie credit from the app. They are only free for 2D movies which was fine by me so I redeemed it to see the Avengers Infinity War this theater is located in the Carson Mall (South Bay Pavilion) similar set up as other Cinemark's once inside you can go to the eating area choose all that you need then pay as you exit. The 2D theater was nice the seats were comfy and has a cup holder so all was good. Overall a nice theater. I'll be back again I have another movie credit to use. read more

There's plenty of parking at the South Bay Pavillion mall. The entrance to the Cinemark is inside the mall. The entire space is very clean and organized. Everything looks new and modern. The 10:15am showing of Coco was considered early bird price ($7). I watched Coco in auditorium 5. The seats look brand new. They don't recline, but they are comfortable enough. The screen is clear and the sound level is perfect. You choose your seats when you buy tickets. The staff is friendly. The restrooms are tidy. I'd definitely come back to this theater. read more

Y'all super rude. I was standing in front of the cashier to get my pizza and popcorn and this dude cut me off and the cashier with km guessing a team lead watched him cut me off served him first. Then allowed him to bring more people in front of me who had several different things and orders. Not gonna say it's based off the fact that he was a white male and I'm not, but they ignored me multiple times to let him keep bringing more people in front of me. I'm only calling because the app isn't showing a showtime for the movie (prequel of Hunger Games) I want to watch on Tuesday but there's a showtime every other day. We were refused entry to the theatre because two kids in my party did not have an id. Im 23 and my brother is 18 yrs old and my party was refused entry because im 1.) NOT 25 yrs old and 2.) not everyone in my party had their ids. No where in the site or the app mentioned we would be id checked upon entry. Employee at the door said there were signs posted all over the mall, but we found NONE. Not a single sign that said everyone was being id checked at the theatre. Not only did i waste my time traveling to the theatre that is 12 miles away from me, but i also waisted my gas just to be told we aren't allowed to go inside and watch the movie. I have to wait for my refund as well. I feel like i was not compensated properly and the whole situation was dealt poorly. I won't be returning to the Carson location as they poorly handled the situation. Crazy how i can serve in the military and buy a weapon as a 23 yr old, but i CANT go inside a theater to watch a movie. This theater is a joke! read more

The movie experience is amazing. Spacious theater. The seats are comfortable with easy accessible rows. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It has great potential. The downside to the place is the cleanliness. While I was watching the movie there was bugs flying everywhere in front of me, too many to ignore. Trash everywhere overflowing the garbage cans onto the floor. The bathroom as well, had everyone's wasted paper thrown all over. I understand the high volume of traffic moving through the area but to prioritize health and safety it should be tended to immediately & more often. There should be some light fumigation & deep cleaning procedures done within the seating areas during closed hours to ensure those bugs aren't the bad kind for the health & safety of the clients as well as the staff. Like I said the place has great potential, it just needs to be cleansed throughout the proper way. read more
