One of my favorite movie theaters in the South Bay! I come here all the time whenever I want to watch a movie that has just came out! The customer service here is superb! There are various discounts for different groups of people (military, student, child, senior, etc.). I recommend that you come on $6 Tuesday, where every movie is $6 all day! Snacks are moderately priced, and there are refills on large popcorn/drinks! If you come with a large party, I recommend getting trays, emptying out the large popcorn, and refilling it prior to paying. This prevents you from leaving the theater due to the fact that you ran out of popcorn! Optimal viewing in my opinion is always the middle section with the railing! I recommend this location to South Bay natives looking to save a buck or two on the movies! Truly fun location with fantastic energy! read more

DO NOT come to this theater when tickets are 4 dollars!! the lobby was disgusting and there was a horribly unorganized line to check out the food. When we went to check out, the floor was littered with trash and popcorn that no workers seemed to have bother to pick up. Going into the theater was my worst experience yet. People were so loud during the movie and waved their phone lights to find their spots not taking other movie watchers into consideration. Yes it's cheap, but i'd rather pay full price and enjoy my movie without an ocean of kids talking. In the end, my boyfriend and I just had to walk out not even 20 minutes into the movie. One of my favorite places to watch a movie because it's so close to home. Seats are comfy enough to fall asleep in, however I wish they had recliners and a bar area sometimes!! Starbucks is represented here by the way. Successful movie watching here includes mixing your popcorn with kettle corn and regular, buying corn in the cup (elote) and getting a scoop of ice cream. Convenient! Super close to my house. First time coming since it opened thinking it would be ghetto but it was not bad at all. Tuesday's $6.00 matinee, reserved seating is totally awesome. Employees were friendly and assisted when asked. Cleanliness was good. Seats were leather, comfortable and reclined. Concession stand was confusing but figured it out right away but may be difficult for an older person. It's more like pick what you want first then you go in line and pay. Nachos were good as always. Parking wasn't packed. All in all, I'd go there again. read more

I mean, we're sold! My pops and I will be there on Tuesdays! We love the cushy seats and being able to reserve our seats prior to arriving. It's a bit chilly in the theatre so we suggest bringing a jacket or even a thin blanket. If you come to this location, park near the post office for the closest entry way to the theatre. There's lots of construction going on right now outside and it can be a bit confusing to find the entrance. In terms of customer service...Excellent!! The theater itself is nice and fairly new. They have more options at the snack bar such as ice cream cones, however the snack bar was a mess. There was no order que for placing orders, trash all over the floor and no one in charge. Also, buy your tickets in advance because there is always a line and it moves slowly. read more

New theater in Carson......?!?!?! I am very ecstatic that there is a theater in Carson mall. This city has never felt any excitement since.....since......since....well the erection of Wal-Mart? Maybe? As a movie lover, it is refreshing to know that there is a new theater and NOT another AMC theater. This place is convenient and well next to a mall. Unfortunately, they don't have outdoor entrance; guest must enter the mall in order to go through the theater itself. For some people this is not a big deal, but for some people such as I, this can be cumbersome. The interior of this theater is very nice, glass window, wide lobby and contemporary design. The concession stand is NIIIIICCCEE!!! Two types of popcorn, caramel coated and original, butter will be provided for you upon request. Candies, all you can imagine, they even had M&M dispenser. They also have amazing selection of cold cream!! Yum. Hot foods are also available, tacos, pretzel and nachos, great for starving kids. Starbuck coffee!!! YEEESSS, but don't expect too much. The seats are leather, it does recline, about 25 degrees. The armchair has a cup holder that can fit a large drink, or perhaps bigger. The screen is wide and slightly curved, making it more enjoyable for viewers. However, be aware that you cannot put your feet up; there is an actual guy that goes around and correct customers during movie times. This place has a strict security; perhaps they want to discourage movie hoppers and unsavory people. I would have given this four star, if it weren't for the demographical area. Unfortunately there are still some people that are living under a rock and many do not have any public etiquette, especially when attending movie theaters. People are giggling, talking and phone ringing while the movie is playing. The ignorance is very annoying, but at the same time it is expected. The staff is friendly and I always get great customer service here. The auditoriums are significantly bigger than Cinemark Downey's, so I come here when Downey is sold out. I guess the main drawback is that the seats are not the same recliners that you will find in all of the Cinemark Downey auditoriums. You won't even find the recliner seats in the XD theatre. BUT all of their chairs are rockers so they're still pretty comfy compared to the old school theatre chairs that are firm and do not move. Something random to note is that their XD theatre is freaking huge, lol. It feels like a stadium in there! I once got out of breath walking up all those stairs to my seat haha. Overall, I like coming here as a 2nd choice if Downey is sold out, but I think i'd choose Downey because of their recliner seats. read more

It was my first time here. The theater was really nice and seemed like it just got a full renovation. The concession stand was really cool. It was more like a cafeteria where you pick up your food and drinks, then head over to the cashiers. The bathrooms were big and clean. The seats were nice and comfy. I think they were leather, but I loved how spacious it was. It doesn't feel like you are sitting right next to someone, but it was close enough to not feel like you were on another planet. I'm glad I came to Cinemark. Tuesday's are discount days for movies. The closest theatre to me that discounted prices for movies was all the way in PV, which is pretty far from me. Now that we have Cinemark in Carson it saves even more money for us! So people complain about this place because the people "talk too much" and it's "ghetto" -___-. So you're going to give a low rating because of the CUSTOMERS? Has nothing to do with Cinemark. On Tuesdays you have to expect many people here trying to get good seats and a discount price for their movie. Even parking is a b*tch. Obviously it's going to be loud when there are lots of people..another thing: it's fairly new and very upscale for the area so a lot of people are going to want to come here often. Anyway, they have SUPER comfortable seats. I was pretty impressed with this place. We sat at the very top of the theater and when we had to use the restroom it was right outside, so convenient! it was a family restroom and there was also an elevator next to it which is perfect for those who are at the top to exit there and use the elevator to go down. This is a hidden jem... don't tell anyone. Cinemark is my new favorite theater chain. The only location at the pike used to be inconvenient because of the parking lot situation so we rarely went there but now that there's one in Carson we're all over it (sometimes). The seats are way comfortable... huge, perfect in height, nice and wide, super soft leather, have a nice recline when you wanna lean back, nice wide arm rests... I could go on and on about the seats here lol but I guess you know comfort is huge when enjoying a movie. I love the semi-self serve concession; grab whatever I want in junk food heaven! Nachos, candy, fill my own huge soda (big-gulp size), and now that I'm putting all this into perspective... ya I guess it's just like 7-11. But they don't have hot popcorn or kettle corn at 7-11. Last, I tried the Starbucks once and thought I could order something not on the menu (they don't have a full Starbucks menu here, only a small simple version)... Just take my advice and don't do it. Brand spanking new theatre in Carson. I always watch movies at the Cinemark at the Pike in Long Beach, so decided to check out the new spot which is closer to home. Entrance to the theatre is inside the mall. Go around Sears and behind it will be where to park closest to the theatre. They had the usual kiosks for picking up online purchases or buying with card. Tried the cashiers this time and they're still slow as with any theatre. Sometimes their fault, sometimes, customers are just slow movers. Ultimately really great customer service there and at the concession booth, regardless of speed. Hope they can keep it up! Concessions were set up a little differently. They will scoop your popcorn, and then drinks are self serve, then you go to the cashier to pay. Not sure if this will be effective in speed of service since people tend to linger at the soda machines. They do have Starbucks and Dreyers ice cream so that's a definite plus. Watched my movie to finally try out the Cinemark XD theatre since they don't have it in Long Beach. Truly huge wall to wall screen and LOUD sound system. Watched San Andreas in 3D so it really enhances this type of loud earth quaking movie. Definitely a good alternative to driving out for a real IMAX screen (i.e. In LA or Irvine...Del Amo AMC is NOT a true IMAX screen). Leather seats, with decent width. Got a little hot after sitting for 2 hours but very comfortable. Tip: there's a "family" restroom just outside the exit in the middle area of the XD theatre. Great for quick diaper changes for families or for those like me that use the RunPee app. But if you take advantage of this tip, please KEEP IT CLEAN! It is a family restroom with a baby changing station so be courteous! Overall a great theater experience. Hope they can keep it up before all the typical Carson riff raff mess it up for everyone. 4 stars for now! read more

I'm so happy they finally opened a movie theater near me. Before the Del Amo AMC opened, my family would drive all the way to Rolling Hills AMC to watch movies. The theater is inside the Carson Southbay Pavillion Mall, in the middle but closer to the Sears end. Living in Carson before the mall got a facelift, I wasn't really expecting much out of this theater. Came in to watch Jurassic World, and I was immediately stunned on how nice the venue was. There's ticket kiosks where you can skip the line but pay with card around the outside and inside the theater and the tickets are cheaper than AMC! Walking in, the food area was pretty nice, they even boast a Starbucks counter as well with some samples to try. The main area aesthetically is extremely beautiful and clean. Inside the actual theater, the seating is very well done, the chairs recline a bit and the cushions are very comfy. What I like most about it is that there's an elevator where the wheelchair handicap guests can watch from the top of the theater, different from others where they get stuck at the front which will hurt your eyes and neck after a while. I love how they accommodate to them. I will definitely come back. read more

On Saturday June 29,2019 of last night my husband and I took our 4 daughters to the movie to see toy story 4 3D the movie showing was at 10:40pm and my oldest daughter left her keys in the theater, I try was calling since 11am this morning I wasn't able to reach anyone. I took this photo just before the movie started, my husband and oldest daughter went to the theater to claim the keys but, they claimed nobody found any keys, attached to these keys were her AirPods. I find it odd no one found the key, since this was the last location my daughter was presently at this time! I say is BS my daughter told me she left them in the cup holder they allowed her to look in the theater for her keys,it wasn't there so someone had to see them. So for this has been a bad experience since this occurred and there staff there is disloyal and dishonest if their behind these keys not turning up. read more

Today watching deadpool 2, the lights went on half way through the movie and stayed on till the end. Time before this a baby was losing it's mind in the theater. This place never disappoints! It's probably because I'm right up the street. The line always goes fast so I get my ticket fast enough to run in to my movie (I'm never on time, but it only takes me 5 minutes to get there). The staff is always friendly. I hardly ever get popcorn or snacks (I usually eat before I go! You've seen those prices for a popcorn and a slurpee!!!). I'm an in and out kind of movie goer. read more

They are leather seats that reclines. I especially like Auditorium 9 since its reserve seating, huge big screen. Very good sounds. Convenient machines to purchase tickets if there's a line. The concession stand are very nice and cleans as well, you get a choice of regular popcorn or the kettle corn. Its a self service, then you pay at the register. Lots of parking. I went to the movies on 11/4/2017 theatre 4 to watch geostorm. Movie was great. I set my foot on the metal bar in from of me, as soon as I left the theatre I felt an urge to itch my ankles and legs.
