My daughter birthday. And she wanted to come to the movies! She wanted to see Stranger Things The finale! $21! Omg! So, we decided on Zootopia! But, when we got to the theater. She choose Jet Black in Anaconda. It was pretty funny! I love all the actors! Ice Cube and JLo mad a guest appearance on the big screen. We really enjoyed our day. What's next! The night is young! January 1, 2026! My baby girl is 26 wow!

Came here for the first time and watched Lilo & Stitch. I bought the tickets online and they scanned my QR code and printed out the mini paper tickets. You can also by tickets in person at the kiosks or at the box office. If it's your first time here, park near Planet Fitness and walked to the glass doors, and you will enter the shopping mall. Go down the escalator, and the movie theatres are at a corner of the mall food court. This movie theatre only has 5 theatre rooms. It was "empty" when I went on a Friday around 6:30pm. I was about to get a small popcorn but the cashier had a free medium popcorn available (I guess someone didn't want it?) so that was my lucky day - as the cashier register said. She was kind! It was easy to locate the seats. They are recliner & heater seats which is awesome! I also like the wall between each of the rows because you can't really see anyone infront of you or behind you - makes it feel more private. Once we left the theatre, it was crowded and it didn't even feel like it when we were inside the theatre room. Restrooms were fine as well. I would come back here again for another movie.

Recliner chairs! Thats what i love in these place. Very clean and smells nice too! Better park at the side of the building close to planet fitness especially if you are catching the last full show. The good thing on this parking area they are lots of vacant space! For me, i download their app and bought the ticket and snacks which is very convenient and the good part is you can accumulate points! Thats awesome!

There are two Century Theatres in the city of Hayward, and this one is located at Southland Mall. Entrance to the cinema is a little tricky. After you enter the mall, you need to take the escalators down to the lower level where the food court is, in order to access the theater lobby which is very basic and a little bare. Just a few small tables with seating, and a concessions stand that is different than most other theaters, pretty much everything behind the order counter. We came by for the matinee showing of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice this past Sunday, and the place wasn't busy, no waits, no problems. The place was clean, hardly any interaction with staff necessary since our ticket purchase was made online in advance, and the seats in the auditoriums were comfortable and in excellent condition (they don't extend far out, but I still appreciate this theater offering luxury recliners). Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was a wacky and entertaining sequel, and this theater provided a satisfactory movie-going experience on our recent visit.

Still one of my favorite theaters. The popcorn is finger-licking good. The location is clean and every theater has heated reclining seats.

Come here to watch king fu panda in theaters. We decided to try something new and get the seats that move when there's motion playing in the movie! I absolutely loved it! Felt like you were on a roller coaster! This is my favorite movie theater and I'd always choose this movie theater over any others. My bf loves going to the union city one for some reason but this is my go-to theater.

Friday matinee -- whole theatre to ourselves!

Haven't been to the theatre in ages and since they've opened up, thought we'd see what it's like these days. Here's the main tips: come on a weekday at the earliest matinee -- not only is it discounted, but you get almost the entire theatre to yourself, and the best choice of seats! Plus it greatly reduces your covid exposure since no one is around you. Is that a win-win-win? Since we were saving our appetites for a late lunch, we only got a small popcorn and small icee to share. Wild cherry flavor icee was perfect and I think the value of the small sizes are actually good! Mediums are the worst value probably. Best part about this theatre are the seats -- all of them are loungers!!! Ahhh so relaxing and enjoyable with the nice extra space, big arm rests, legs up and soft cushions. Can't beat that. Gonna have to skip school and come back again for another weekday early matinee lol!

I like this theatre because it is a small intimate space. The seats recline and are heated.Your order can be delivered to your seat. It's usually pretty clean. My only issue is the slushy machine often has issues. Staff are always friendly. The air conditioner is not turned up to polar ice freeze.

Plush Ricardo Automatic Lazy Chairs! Heated too! WOW

Cushy seats for your tushy! Reclines and heats up with a push of a button! Reserve seatings! Kiosks stalls to purch tix! The entrance to the theater is through the mall's food court. Nice strategy to get foot traffic through the door but will it work to save our dying retail malls? Let's hope so. 1-star reduction because one of the brand new seats in the theater was not working. We had to get 4 staff members over to brainiact the problem only to discover that it was not plugged properly. Doh! Otherwise, let's hope that all seats are plugged in moving forward! Enjoy the show, folks!

I was watching movie this afternoon and lost my phone in the theater. Reported to the manager, Gabe. He found my phone for me!!! I was so grateful!!! Thank you, Manager Gabe! See you again soon!! By the way, it's a great theater. Very clean and great staff!!!

The Chabot Theater has been around for 75 years. With only 1 movie screen, it has been visited by long-time residents and newcomers who share a passion for film and reasonable pricing. They may not have reserved seating or the best state of the art surround sound systems, but that's what makes it unique and what a 1990-2000s movie theater used to be like. Also, they feature local commercials, bands/music, and upcoming events before the movie starts, which is great to see the support for the community! One of the best things about this theater is that you can purchase tickets for 1/2 the price every Tuesday! As of August 2025, 1/2 priced tickets will be $6/each (Regular: $12), which is a steal these days and especially when you can watch some of the biggest blockbuster films! Keep in mind, if you are a child or senior, regular pricing is $10 (still a bargain!), but Tuesday pricing will remain $6/each. You can purchase both tickets and concessions together in the lobby, which makes the process simple and smooth. Parking is relatively easy - no dedicated parking lot, just the street so adhere to the posted signage. Most street parking is 2 hour limit, but if you're okay taking a short walk, find some side or cross streets to extend the limit especially if you're catching a film that's longer than 2 hours. If you're looking for a place to host an event, watch party, or birthday, they do that here (pricing on website). If you're looking for something fun to do during the week nights, they host trivia nights (free for everyone), family movie nights (tickets required), and karaoke nights (free for everyone) too! This theater is truly a gem, one that I hope remains a staple within the CV community, providing a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

What I don't like about Regal is that they will only do that for a week. For example, I really wanted to see Project Hail Mary on IMAX and it was sold out for days! The following week, it was only shown on Standard. They also show foreign films. What I like about Regal is that you can choose the seats you purchase. What I don't like about Regal is that unless you end up in a theater with reclining seat, the standard seats are uncomfortable. They are soft and cushiony but they barely recline. So either position is not the best. My back hurt after watching a 3-hour movie. What I like about Regal is they have a lot of food concession lines! They've got popcorn, hot dog, nachos, pretzels, candy, drinks... get your food and get to your seat. Usually the people who work there are good and do their best. I also appreciate that they don't do the whole order from your seat business. I hate people talking in their regular voice volume and people walking in front of the screen so the whole movie experience is like watching a movie at home. Thank you, Regal for not being The Lot. Lots of parking and near lots of restaurants.

2 Stars - Extremely frustrating refund and customer service experience…read more I normally don't go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but this was one of the more frustrating customer service experiences I've had at a movie theater. I purchased two tickets for the IMAX 70mm showing of The Odyssey at Regal Hacienda Crossings. These were purchased directly from a kiosk at the theater. The tickets were difficult to get, and when my plans changed, I returned the following day to request a refund. That's when the problems started. I spoke with two supervisors(Carlos and Giovanni) who attempted to help me with the refund but apparently could not process it through their system. I was told that an email would have to be sent upstairs requesting the refund. I waited approximately 30 minutes in the lobby while this was being handled, and I was ultimately told that I would receive my refund within 48-72 hours. A week went by with no refund and no communication. I ended up returning to the theater again a week later and spoke with the assistant manager(Cruz). He went upstairs to look into the situation and came back a few minutes later saying that he couldn't find the original email, order information, or any record of the refund request. I was told that the employee who originally helped me may have simply forgotten to follow up. The assistant manager was actually helpful and did apologize. He offered me complimentary passes as compensation for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. However, I still hadn't received the refund for the tickets I had purchased. I then contacted Regal Customer Relations. Unfortunately, it took more than a week to even receive a response. After explaining the situation again, Customer Relations ultimately offered me a Regal e-gift card, which is the full value of the two tickets. I accepted it, although I originally requested that the money be returned to my original form of payment. So, to be fair, the situation was eventually resolved and both the assistant manager and Customer Relations did make efforts to compensate me. However, getting to that resolution was an unnecessarily long and frustrating process. I had to: * Return to the theater multiple times * Wait approximately 30 minutes while staff tried to resolve the refund * Be told my refund would arrive within 48-72 hours * Wait a full week with no refund or communication * Make another trip to the theater * Contact Customer Relations myself * Wait more than a week for a response For something as simple as returning two tickets purchased directly from Regal, this should not have been this difficult. My biggest issue isn't that the theater ultimately refused to help. It's the lack of communication, the apparent failure to follow through on the original refund request, and the amount of time and effort I had to spend getting someone to actually resolve the issue. I rarely visit this location, and unfortunately this experience has made me hesitant to return anytime soon. I hope Regal improves the refund process for kiosk purchases and, more importantly, makes sure that when management tells a customer that something will be taken care of, it actually gets followed through.

After visiting regular century theatres and AMC locations all my life, it was a bit of a different experience when walking in here and I was slightly confused. At no point are you greeted or deal with any staff. Our showtime was set for 3:30 and we were allowed in the auditorium 10 minutes prior (3:20) we immediately scanned the QR code and ordered food, we were expecting it to take a long time based on the reviews and were pleasantly surprised with how quick it was. Most items arrived before the movie even started First item out was : Chicken strips + fries (4 cold chewy strips and cold fries) 1/5 stars -- I see why they came out first, they were fried wayyy way before and sitting there. This is the only reason we knocked down a star Btw, none of our food arrived together, everything was 10-15 minutes apart Next arrived the "double pepperoni pizza" 4/5 stars It did not have hot honey or grated Parmesan as advertised but was still super good and I'd recommend! Lastly arrived our buffalo crispy chicken wings + fries 5/5 stars -- worth the wait! These arrived about 15-20 minutes into the movie starting. Nice crispy fresh wings and the French fries in this batch were wayyy better compared to the ones that came out with the tenders. Drinks : $10 bottomless soda (we only got 1 refill so I think the price is insane) $12 bottomless icee (also only 1 refill so a bit insane but if you're able to get more refills out of it, it's worth it) $18 mango margarita , delicioussss it was super good and strong, did its job lol Bathrooms were clean, service was quick, I pressed the service button and someone arrived within 5 minutes and brought our refills quickly as well. Food being served is distracting, the seats we were on were quite squeaky when attempting to recline, the bathroom floors were sticky (like caked on cleaning solution that's waxy), and it really DOES smell like wet rags by the entrance. The website they have tied to a QR code (that is supposed to be the menu to order food) could not even function on my iPhone, my brother had to order for us. In general the employees around that we interacted with were nice. I got an email back AFTER the movie ended that my missing order was probably a glitch with the app. And the website is also awful. When buying online there's a processing fee of $1.75 as of August 31, 2026, so if you have the chance I'd buy it in person at the movie theater ticket office. The historic theater is one of the most nostalgic things I love about Alameda, the high ceilings and the atmosphere is amazing especially with a full theater. The regular seats are getting pretty worn down at this point, so I'd pick one of the closer, newer, and more comfy seats for a little bit more money. ---- Notes: - there's a paid parking structure and metered parking, there is some residential parking a few blocks away as well - the theater isn't overly loud which I love, and you don't get your eardrums blown out - you can order from the cinema grill but only when they're open so it's not available for all theater showings unfortunately - the typical theater food isn't super great tho and the prices are expensive as usual - the personal pizza was tiny and like $10 ---- Overall: the shining jewel of Alameda, at night the neon lights are so beautiful and the historic theater is a must if you ever visit Alameda
