If I could give a negative stars that's what I would do !!! Even though this theatre boasts "reserved seating" they do not honor the fact that you have an actual ticket with a row and seat number on it if someone is sitting in your seat!!! They do not make the person move, they do not offer you a free movie ticket - they simply ask if you could wait and see the next showing of the movie in 2 freaking hours !!!! The manager was awful!!! I had to throw a fit to even get a refund. So if you go there expecting reserve seating - you will be sadly disappointed!!! DO NOT go to this theater!!!! read more

This theater is a money pit. The incessant price gouging is ridiculous. For $5.35 you can enjoy a large drink; however, don't expect a free refill. And don't even think popcorn will net you anything less than fluffed up prices as well. By every measure, the popcorn prices can use a price adjustment in a southern direction, but again, do not expect a refill. The medium sized popcorn alone is $7.09. The overall experience is mediocrity at its best at the concession stands. Make your own assessment, but don't say I didn't warn you. read more

Outdated theatre, food overpriced and taste awful. I ordered a pizza to see if it was somewhat worth the cost and the cheese layer completely separated from the dough and wasn't even served hot, but nearly cold. The chairs would not stop creaking unless you held your breath and didn't move. Compared to other theatres I've visted, this one is by far the worst. For the great quality of the surrounding restuarants, you would think this theatre would measure up but it doesn't. read more

Wish I could rate this place zero. My wife and I have been coming to this theater and usually have pleasant experiences, except today. We went to go see Annihilation, and we were told by the ticket taking girl "a new policy is in place and I have to check your bag, do you mind?" To my wife. A new policy? It wasn't clearly documented anywhere so we walked out about to leave and when we returned to tell her she would not be allowed to check the bag, the guy who replaced her verified our ticket and waved us through, without giving us any trouble. This is insane, I get the need for security, but if you are going to have someone ask to root through my wife's things, make it an actual security guard, also if you're going to institute a "new policy" it should be clearly displayed in a place where all can see so that we can expect to be asked. I will not be returning to this theater again if this is how we as customers will be treated. read more

I am hear at least once a week and I am always happy with my experience. Usally the first showings of the day are super laid back and even on release days you can easily get a good seat. Assigned recliner seats are super comfy and the way it is set up even if your short (like me) a tall person in front of you won't block your view! Also popcorn for breakfast is totally acceptable at the movies! read more

I love how big this theatre is. Coming form Mandarin at Regal 20 this theatre is not so far as Regency but it is just as big. The theatre rooms are a lot bigger than regal 20. I also like the low lights it feels like a movie theatre. I like that it has kind of dim lighting in the lobby. There is a game room off to the right and a Caffe to the left that serves Starbucks. It is located right off Southside Blvd with close access to the town center. The bathrooms are usually clean. Cleaner than others so this is always a plus. read more

Theaters are very comfortable. Online services is easy. Lines for food took 20 minutes and refills require getting back on a line.

I've been to a couple different Cinemark theaters before and they were much better than this. All of the employees moved realllllllly slowwwwwwwlllly. It shouldn't take you a full 5 min to scoop popcorn and dump drinks into a cup. My main problem with this theater are the first two rows. You should not even have seats in these rows because you literally CANNOT SEE THE SCREEN. The cinemark theaters I have been to removed these rows after they renovated and added reclining seats and Tinseltown should consider doing the same. Don't sit there - you won't be able to move your neck for at least two days and your eyes will be hella strained. read more

Frankly, every time I've been to this theater it's been dirty, staff doesn't seem very amused, and they are slow. Prices are high, but somewhat reasonable. I've had burnt popcorn almost every-time I've been here. I'm not happy with this theater. read more

Seems just like any other movie theater, except the seats are kinda cheap feeling. They move around too much, and the padding isn't really nice, which I kind of noticed during the almost 3 hour long Django Unchained. The armrests don't go up, so you can't get cozy with your date. The screen is really nice though. It's almost too bright. It is definitely noticeably brighter than any other screen I've ever seen. Seriously, it hurt my eyes for the first 15 minutes. I haven't checked out other theaters in the area since I live right next to Tinseltown, but this one is certainly good enough. read more

This is a good theatre. Location is central so you can meet up with your friends here, plenty of parking, price is standard (although you can prepurchase the tickets for cheaper at Costco), and it's clean. The seats are pretty comfy in general but this just depends on what room you're in. Some are nicer than others. The XD and 3D ones are super comfortable whereas some of the regular ones are pretty... well... regular. Plus some doesn't have the armrest that swivels up, which I hate cuz I like leaning up against my boyfriend =P I hope they update the older rooms soon. read more

The movie theater was clean and well ran. The chairs or seats were luxury seats and they were extremely comfortable. There was more than enough Walking room to get around or in front of us and you pre-select your seating before you go in. So you can see what seats are already taken or where you would like to sit. The air conditioning was working fine and it was completely comfortable experience. I will go back there again and I suggest that everybody else does too read more

Nice clean theater, good quality screen with comfy seats and good audio. The downside is that it's sooooo popular. Popular movies get packed.. and the more people, the higher the number of cell phone users and loud talkers. This is the kind of place where people bring infants to an 8 pm showing of Transformers 4.. yeah.. babies.. during a three hour movie.. THREE OF THEM!! Stop the stupidity, people! I think I'll save my movie going here for the less popular show times. read more

Normal movie theater but if you come for the first show of the day it's cheaper! Always seems to be clean and never had any problems.

I have just returned from Tinseltown, Southside Boulevard, to see the 1:00 show. There were 3 lines to buy tickets and after waiting over 15 minutes (in the sun) with very little progress in the lines I asked 2 girls to hold my place so I could request a manager. Although I was literally inside and could have just found my theater, I went back outside to stand in line another 10 minutes. Two separate people that were behind me and the girls wiggled their way ahead of us which is only their rudeness and by the time 4 people were in front of me another glitch so the line froze again. I no longer was in the frame of mind to enjoy so I left. A manager never came to resolve the problem of expediting the wait. I believe what was confusing, and therefore a big problem for many of the patrons, was the new policy to "select a seat". All 3 ticket lines experienced this l-o-n-g wait. Of course the new seats are wonderful. But a cushy tush does not make up for such a poor customer experience. read more

The absolute most unpleasant theater experience ever. The AC wasn't on or broken in the middle of the warm afternoon. Not sure if this is how the locals enjoy watching their movies(something comparable to sitting in a sauna in leather seats), but if it is I'm never coming back here again. It would have been nice if the person selling us the tickets gave us a warning about having no AC or something in the theater, not a peep. read more

The seats were nice and comfy, however, we purchased a large popcorn and a large drink with a promise of a refill. They refilled the popcorn but would not give us a refill on the drink stating that it was "against policy". This isn't usually a gamechanger, however, when a drink costs over $5 you expect at least one refill. read more

My choice for movies in Jacksonville. Close to good food in the same shopping center or in St John's Town Center. A relatively good side of town (compared to Recency or River City), and an overall good experience. read more

Central location to most of Jacksonville. Nice and easy parking with ample availability. The XD auditorium is fantastic , however the other regular auditoriums are showing there age in terms of lesser than Sony 4 RT projection and audio. We do enjoy the cafe that has Pizza and Chicken Finger Baskets that includes fries. read more

They don't have good line management at all. Every time we've been here, there's always a long line and like 2 people at the box office. We've been late so many times just because we've stood in line for more that 20minutes. The snack/food concessions are the same way. They take way too long. AND WHY TO THEY MAKE SEATS UP CLOSE WHEN ALL YOU CAN SEE IS THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN! All seats should be create equal since you're paying equal price! read more

Lots of theaters, plenty of showings each day. You can sign up for weekly coupons to get discounts on concessions every week. The first showing of the day at Cinemark is $6. They also have a mobile app that allows you to earn coupons for going to movies. The only thing I don't like is they expire pretty soon after. Plenty of Parking and shows are rarely sold out. They have an XD screens and pre sale tixs. read more

This is a nice theater and thankfully the parking lot is easy to get in/out. Definitely our go to movie theater in Jax.

XD 3D is really the only way to watch movies after you've seen your first one in this theater. The sound can be heard (and sometimes felt) outside of the theater in the main lobby. The chairs are very comfortable as well. Obviously the best seats are in the very middle as you end up feeling immersed in the 3D. read more

The reason why I am only giving two stars has more to do with the service I received through Cinemark's online ticketing service, Fandango. The theater is a good one, but after my experience with Fandango, I will choose AMC whenever I can from now on. I want to share with everyone the poor customer service I received from Fandango today. I selected 11 adult tickets - instead of 1 - and 2 child tickets. Then I hit "continue" half a second before I realized what I had done. I immediately processed a refund for the entire amount - because there is no way to get a partial refund. I was charged a $17 non-refundable fee. So.,. I contacted Fandango through chat and was given a reason (excuse) why I can't get refunded. Or even get a credit. I'm curious Fandago, how much money do you make this way by taking customers' money and not offering a service/product in return? read more
