I don't typically write reviews in real time, but this experience demands it. There are three of us dining here on Easter Sunday. Two of us ordered the Branzino, and one ordered shrimp. After a considerable wait, only one Branzino and the shrimp were delivered because, as it turns out, the waiter only placed an order for one Branzino. The issue isn't just the mistake, it's the complete lack of accountability that followed. There was no apology, no acknowledgment, and no attempt to address the situation. As I write this, two people at the table are halfway through their meals, while I am still waiting, now being told it will take an additional 20-25 minutes to prepare what should have been ordered correctly in the first place. At no point has anyone come over to apologize, explain, or make any effort to remedy the situation. Mistakes happen. What's unacceptable is indifference. Hospitality is defined not by perfection, but by how issues are handled and in this case, there has been a total failure of basic service standards. Dining out is about more than just the food; it's about the overall experience. Unfortunately, this one has been defined by poor communication, lack of accountability, and disregard for the customer. Management should take this seriously and reassess both training and service expectations. read more

I enjoyed this express side of Cipollini. The food is easy to be served and enjoyed yet tried to keep a great quality on each item. Pricing is still at high mark but with the ambiance of its outdoor dining is quite impressive for a cool summer dine experience. Location is just perfect, within the steps of brand name stores. A beautiful place to hang out after a shopping spree day. Will always remember to swing by when in the neighborhood. A recommended coffee spot. . read more

Honestly was shocked at how good this was. I was in the neighborhood to catch up with a friend, and when she suggested the Americana my first thought was, oh no, how much will this cost me? But the to-go version of Cipollini is actually a great value all things considered. I was really craving a chicken caesar salad wrap, and figured that would set me back at least $20 at a place like this. Not so. My wrap was hearty and fresh for just $8.50. My friend ordered a margarita pizza that was surprisingly well priced as well, and came out looking totally gourmet. Staff here is also accommodating. Even though it's a "to-go" type place with first come first serve seating they were able to bring us out a cup of water and even some of their legendary bread too. There's a small communal table inside, with plenty of outdoor seating. Decent spot you're in the area and need a quick, casual meal. read more

What happened to Cipollini Pronto? I have been going there for years and they used to be fabulous. Today the meatballs were cold and tasteless, the salads had an off taste , the quiche...well better left unsaid. Even their decaf which used to be the best was not good. On top of that the manager has an attitude. Eating outside is still great. Suggest the Poll brothers who run great restaurants, including the main Cipollini take a taste test here. read more

I've been going to cipollini pronto for 14 years (ew i'm really old) i've never once been disappointed. the staff is generally pretty nice but the food....y'all the FOOD....is incredible. Their tomato soup and fresh bread is the absolute best i've ever and most likely will ever have (and they know it!) Their panini's are delicious as well... they have one with turkey and brie that's to die for and their grilled chicken one with fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers..chefs kiss. they also have a really nice selection of drinks and food in their grab and go fridge. One of my favorite items to grab is their shrimp and avocado rice paper roll with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. it's awesome. They have a variety of protein and salads as well that you can chose from, those change daily and are always really fresh. I love their grilled salmon and they also have this delicious salad with corn and fennel that's so so good! worth a stop in if you're shopping around or happen to be in the area! read more

This is the perfect pit-stop while shopping in Manhasset's Americana mall. I was worried restaurants in this shopping center would be too expensive because of the high-end stores that it has, but this is the perfect quick option. The main restaurant is around the corner in the main strip of stores (facing the parking lot), but this is in the middle cut-through to the other side. Nice variety for lunch including to-go sandwiches, paninis, pasta, salads and cafe drinks. I got the prosciutto panini which had great flavor with the arugula, and loved the fact it was an actual panini press. Didn't get a soup but several people had that at the table, it was huge. The pasta had lots of goodies in it including fresh mootz and tomatoes and onions. The only downfall of this place is its so tiny, so there's one long communal table which gets awkward since you're all stalking the table waiting for a seat to open up, or all sitting with other strangers. If you manage to snag a spot, the food will be worth it before you get back to shopping! read more

Location nestled into the Manhasset shopping mecca of store locsls, so keep car parked and walk over/down to find it. You will have that Duh...moment when you see it and/or opt to move car thinking it's down the road. It has some outdoor seating which is good to know. Happy to see patrons enjoying a good meal out there, especially on one of the first real sunny days to shake off winter blues of our snowy lingering winter. While in the area for a shopping stop thought best to give them a try, as i clearly missed real lunchtime. Inside it has a widen galley like feel, so wasn't surprised to see waiter/busboy accidentally drop a glass when clearing a table...Oops! Stuff happens in a hustling, bustling location like this. Great fresh bread aromas smack you in the face when you walk through the door, and then your enveloped in a rustic wooden bar atmosphere. Thought one of their Italian pizza specialties sounded good, but they don't sell by the slice. So had to opt out in 3p hour knowing a dinner meet up was awaiting me. Selected their prosciutto panini ($15.50), which was good in size and very fresh. It came along with some greens and a hunk of their bread that I noticed served at every table. Was a bit surprised that it was included for a take-out order, but hey for the price you pay for the sandwich will gladly save for later that day munch on. All in all the waitstaff and bartender who took my order were very friendly. You can tell they enjoy working where they do. If back in these parts would consider stopping by again, but for their real menu items verses a specialty sandwich, as it would validate for me at least the slightly higher cost for the food/service in this area. read more

Exceptionally well run restaurant that consistently delivers. Lively Bar atmosphere. Menu with right options for lunch or dinner. One of the Poll establishments, 2 brothers that have been top restauranteurs on Long Island for 30 years. They get not only food but creating an experience. If shopping at the Americana, the perfect spot to drop in for lunch. Even the express spot next door delivers great quality lunch products at reasonable prices. A piece of salmon atop a salad there? It's tremendous. Power Ranking Poll Restaurants? Mind you all are unique and appropriate for the right / different occasions.... 1- Bryant & Cooper (Classic Steak House) 2- Toku (Modern Asian) 3- Cipollini (TRATTORIA) 4- Bar Frites (Bistro) 5- Hendricks (Modern updated Tavern) 6- Majors (Steakhouse) I haven't tried The Bryant.... I can't comment on the food since we only came here for drinks but when I see Italian hot chocolate it's like a must for me..... yeah they didn't have Italian hot chocolate, either they were just out (it was only like 1 pm when we went so whatever) or they don't have it anymore at all?..... the girl just said we don't have Italian hot chocolate like I ordered something not right there on the wall lol.... whatever.... so I was like okay regular hot chocolate then.... it was very good though so yeah makes up for it.... my hubs had a hazelnut coffee after I saw another review saying it was amazing, he loved it. he even wanted to go back and get more lol but I was like no..... I dunno how I never knew this place was here until last night stalking yelp lol.... actually I'm sure I knew it was here I just didn't know exactly what it was... long island should get more places like this, with real tasting hot chocolate. I dunno why nyc seems to be the only place that gets the good stuff and most places around here are like swiss miss lol.... so yeah if you want some real hot cocoa come here.... read more

The food and coffee here is very good. I haven't been here since Covid, but at least in the past they had a variety of hot and cold food as well as dessert options. There is also some outdoor seating. It's a good place to have lunch if you're shopping in the area but I wouldn't come out of my way otherwise. The store itself is small and can get crowded. Also, the clientele can be a bit rude/entitled but it's at the Americana so it's to be expected. Prices are surprisingly reasonable. read more

When you are shopping, you use a lot of energy. Energy to walk around. Energy to carry your shopping bags. Energy to go into the store and try on lots of things. So you gotta fuel up. This is a small little fancy cafe with limited communal seating. I grabbed a salad and juice to go. They had a few types of ready made salads so I got 2 of them. The juice was good too. Start your day right; with the best hazelnut coffee in long island. Yes! I said it the best hazelnut coffee in long island. They make coffee the right way steamed and roasted to perfection. Reminds me of good italian coffee in venice on the san marcos plaza. Yeah it is that good. The difference is that they know how to make coffee. Its properly grinded and steam brewed to retains the natural oils from coffee beans. Cipollini Pronto get that right on! This place can get crowded really quick especially during lunch time. Service is friendly and relatively quick.There really isn't much room to enjoy a quick lunch but they do have outdoor seating but it tends to get hot quickly especially during long island summers. Sitting by the window, leaning against your chair, watching construction going on next door isn't the best but sipping really good hazelnut coffee - incredibly wonderful! They have wonderfully fresh sandwiches, juices, pastries and cookies. Did I mention the coffee :) - oh, yeah....fantastic! read more

Love this spot. Their hazelnut iced coffee is my favorite. Really really good! They give you the coffee with no milk or sugar and allow you to add whatever you like. Their salads and paninis are really good as well! I love the grilled chicken panini. I always get the cold salad with shrimp, potatoes, and string beans. It is very delicious, filling, and refreshing. Also their lemonade is really good, especially in the summer when it's hot out. read more

Before ordering, the owner stopped by, and told us some of the restaurants history, and him being the longtime owner of over 4 decades. He then recited the evenings specials along with interjecting a couple of very funny stories. Each special sounded incredible, and we began our meal with a couple of glasses of a tasty Montepulciano. We shared, one the evening's special appetizers of luscious & creamy zucchini flowers. For entrees my wife ordered one the specials of shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat, in a lobster sauce. She couldn't stop talking about how fantastic it tasted. My only comment was although outstanding, the portion size consisted of 4 shrimp, which was more than enough for my wife, but someone with a bigger appetite may find the order a bit skimpy. For my entree I was drawn to something, which I rarely see on a menu, chicken livers. Although, I thought, for sure, that was what I would choose, the owner in going over the specials cited some of the best menu items, one of which was lasagna. I then told the owner about my dilemma, and I asked him to choose, and the lasagna won out. Although, I missed not having the chicken livers, I consider myself a lasagna aficionado, and, without question, this lasagna moved up to near the top of the list. We ended the meal by having a homemade chocolate layer cake, which was divine. I apologize for not taking any pictures, but I was so excited about the food that my taste buds overrode any thoughts of snapping photos. Finally, definitely run to this restaurant ASAP, but, if possible, I recommend, if possible, to go during the week to avoid the crowds of an obviously very popular restaurant.
