Torn about this restaurant. Went for my boyfriend and I's anniversary and we were excited to finally try it. The majority of the food was very good, the two pastas we had specifically. Personally, I was underwhelmed by the steak tartare, didn't think it tasted like much. The drinks were decent but nothing out of this world. My boyfriend had a dirty martini which came in a small glass and they didn't have blue cheese olives, and a espresso martini, and I had a whiskey sour. Both fine, but for $27 and $31 each that's absurd. Nothing about those drinks was worth the cost. The restaurant itself is nice, staff was nice enough. They brought a dessert with "happy anniversary" written on it which was nice. But nothing about this restaurant was worth $450+. Won't be going back. read more

This experience was disappointing. I had high expectations before coming and was completely let down. We had reservations for two but they took a while to seat us, so they had us wait at the bar (tiny and crowded) and brought us a complimentary bellini each for the wait. Once we sat, the atmosphere was nice, but I honestly expected more from an expensive restaurant in Miami. We got the carpaccio, and I'm sorry, but the presentation was pathetic. No garnish and just four slices of baguette. We then got the lobster risotto but they were out of lobster so they subbed it for shrimp and gave us practically no shrimp. And we still paid the same price! No discount or anything. Then, when we got the check, they charged us for the two bellinis! Ridiculous. Came here for a girl dinner - we all shared the tuna tartare and 2 cucumber salads which were delicious. Then my friend and I shared the steak which was a perfect medium rare, and French fries. The service was great, they split the steak up for us so we didn't have to. My husband and I both really enjoyed dining at Cipriani! A fine dining Italian restaurant with multiple locations worldwide, this particular location is in downtown Miami in Brickell. We had dinner reservations and were seated by the window with a beautiful view of the water with great natural lighting. We asked our server for suggestions and they were all a hit! To start, we had the cucumber salad (with sweet Corn, cherry tomatoes and avocado) which had NO scraps left behind. For our entrees, we had the risotto al nero di seppia (a type of fish), rigatoni alla bolognese, and pan seared dover sole which were ALL well prepared and devoured. The standout dish was definitely the risotto which was creamy and al dente. Last but not least, we had the vanilla meringue for dessert with a side of vanilla ice cream and that was the perfect end to our meal. The service was friendly and the ambiance was classy. i arrived right at 9:55 for our 10 pm reservation. we checked in for our reservation and the hostess area was packed with people waiting, when we asked how long the wait was for our RESERVATION, one of the girls said "soon", we are sitting here an hour later waiting to be seated. we had to order drinks to calm ourselves down. they gave us zucchini fries. i have asked her twice when our table would be ready and she keeps saying "soon" so i keep asking for a timeframe and she genuinely could not give me one. they were both clearly not happy on their phones not giving a f*ck we are the only asians in the restaurant (everyone else who was sat before us was not asian) to try and make it better they offerred a round of drinks. we dont want a round of drinks we want to be sat at a table for our reservation that was an hour ago. they just sat us down and the waiter just said "i dont mean to rush you but the kitchen is closing so i have to put ur order in" (@ 11:03 pm)i would walk up and leave if i could. they just sat another another party at 11:19 so im assuming the kitchen isnt closed..... or theyre just sitting to get drinks..? its 11:32 and we still have NOT received our food and no one has checked in on us. yeah this is the worst restaurant ive been to period. they include a service charge already (typical but definitely not deserved or worth it here) i used to work in hospitality and this is not how you treat your customers. this is actually embarrassing for a friday night in miami. since moving to miami, this has been the worst experience ever. i will not be coming back. so unfortunate since i am a fan of the nyc locations. do NOT recommend wasting time and money here. read more

A quick night in Miami and we have been to other locations in multiple cities so thought it would be a safe bet to try. This place is buzzing around with staff doing their best to accommodate those that obviously came here to be seen. The place is very nice and overflowing with pretty people. A great place to people watch with a great view of the canal and lots of high end boats . The restaurant itself is fabulous, well decorated and beautiful. They manage to fit in as many tables as they can set up so the vibe is busy. Service was excellent. Food just doesn't quit hit the mark. We had tuna tartare and it was literally just a blob of flavorless tuna. No seasoning or anything to accompany the dish, cracker, vegetable or chip. The salmon was very bland as well and my husband had chicken and once again, very little flavor. Every single dish we got was so rich and flavorful! Truly the best burrata I've ever had, hands down. The Argentinian shrimps were cooked to absolute perfection & the risotto was delicious! But, from the appetizers (fried shrimp, prosciutto and mozzarella) to the pasta (with veal ragu), I was utterly unimpressed. The noodles were too soft/soggy, the shrimp lacked flavor. And the service was constantly hovering - in a way that may you feel pressured. Recommendations were the most pricey. And the wine list, ridiculous. Been here several times now and I'm never disappointed. While I do have to Google what some items on the menu are, I can say that every dish I've tried is always fantastic. My favorite item here by far is the pistachio gelato. I can't remember my server's name because it's been a couple of weeks, but he did a great job and was very attentive. He brought out the drinks with minimal waiting and offered refills at the right time. The dining space is a large, open room and it's pretty noisy. I didn't notice or don't remember any music playing (which is probably for the best). If you're sitting by the window, you'll have a gorgeous view of the river. read more

The best thing we had was the gelato. The pistachio was really good along with the vanilla! Loved it. Cipriani has their own entrance into socialista downstairs (cool spot) . You could usually go through there so you don't have to wait in the long line outside after dinner. They made us go to the outside entrance to the end of huge line after spending over $500 on dinner. So if you plan on going to socialista after, plan to wait in line. I'll be back to update my review to 5 star if I come back and the experience is different! read more

This was the first Cipriani I have ever went to. It's surely a classic - the interiors are very on-brand for the restaurant and there is a really large selection of food. The restaurant has an elegant concept and is designed to provide a no rush experience. A meal can last over than an hour as the feel is more of a talking ambience. We got complimentary bellinis and bread to start, got two mains to share and came one at a time ( because we ordered that way, again no rush) , a pairing wine recommended by our server and finally the star if the house which is the freshly made vanilla gelato with chocolate and nuts. We came for dinner. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a nice location looking over the water. Our waiter had a bit of an attitude from the start. He was not friendly and when asking a question walked away while still talking to us. At one point we saw him rolling his eyes when someone asked him a question. What was interesting was we asked for tap water and they kept bringing bottled still and sparkling even though we didn't want it and then charged us for it. The food was very good and our server who gave us bread was very nice to us. I've gone to many restaurants including Michelin star and 5 star restaurants never did I feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome in a restaurant. I was looking forward to finishing dinner and getting out of the restaurant hence the 3 star rating. read more
