Super cute little place in CB. Can order soup, salads or sandwiches, plus some charcuterie type items all while enjoying a good glass of wine. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Some tables inside and outside to sit and enjoy. Will surely be back!!

EAT HERE. This wine store/bistro is everything. The staff was friendly and helpful and it's such a fun place to visit. Lunch items are best quality meats, cheeses, spreads, fruits, veg and nuts. On a baguette, sourdough panini, or salad, all creative and delicious. Also impressed with their cheese/cracker/snack selection. I walked there everyday during my vacation, and left with as much delicious food as I could carry. Besides premade food, I left with items to stock a girls night charcuterie board: Brie, jalapeño cheddar crackers, almond sea salt crackers, green Italian olive spread, cherry/almond/cocoa nib crackers, vanilla and cinnamon spiced nuts, kettle corn, peanut butter chocolate fudge, chocolate, covered animal, crackers, almond toffee,. (The gfs said the board was soooo good). Favorites: The Boardwalk: Ricotta spread, genoa salami, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sweet pepper, spinach Weekly specials: Lemon Artichoke Soup Prosciutto, cheese, hot honey panini

Wonderful new addition to colonial beach! I've been coming here for the last two years with my BF and the area has been in need of something like this. The ambiance is very relaxed but upscale casual. You could wear shorts and a tee shirt and sneakers and be fine. They have seating inside and outside, a lovely little patio area. They have a huge array of cheese, meats, bread, desserts, chocolates and gifts. They have a good sized menu of charcuterie boards, sandwiches, 3 different types of grilled cheese, salads and soups. Their wine selection is very extensive and there is something for everyone. They also sell beer and seltzers and nonalcoholic drinks too. The owners are the nicest people and they have hired great staff who provided quick and efficient service. We will be back! I highly recommend going in and trying everything!

We were seated promptly, no awkward hovering, and our waitress showed up friendly, sharp, and knowing her way around the menu--which is a quality that ought to be listed right next to "clean silverware." We started with the crab and corn chowder, and let me say this right now: the crab was not there for decoration. It announced itself. Big flavor, no apologies, the way crab chowder ought to be. Second round was the smoked salmon salad. Perfect. The salmon was excellent, but that tarragon caper dressing had a way of making you slow down and think about life choices. I would put that dressing on just about anything that didn't move fast enough. For the main event, I chose the scallops, and I am prepared to testify they were as good as any I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, sitting pretty with an aioli that knew its job and did it well. My wife ordered the beef medallions, and I'll admit this with humility: looking back, I may have chosen wrong. Those medallions were expertly prepared and packed with flavor, the kind that makes you reconsider your own plate. We finished with cheesecake and berries. The cheesecake did its part. The berries... well, not every inning is a home run. Fortunately, the wine stepped in like a good relief pitcher and made everything right again. Through it all, the service never slipped. We were treated the way folks ought to be treated when they go out to celebrate something that matters. And that, in my book, counts just as much as what's on the plate. Sorry for the lack of pictures the food and wine kept my attention

The menu changes regularly since it is chef driven. I attended for my birthday and chose the 4 course menu. The food was cooked perfectly, however portions are quite small. The wines are very nice and the servers are knowledgeable, but I have experienced better wine/food pairings. It's a lovely meal and experience with a higher price point for the area, but definitely worth trying at least once.

We started with the bread assortment, which included flatbreads, rolls, dipping sauces, and butter. We also tried the fried artichoke leaves--they were perfectly crisp, tender, and delicious. For my entrée, I had the branzino with crispy skin, and it was cooked to perfection. The combination of lemon, herbs, and capers worked beautifully, and the fish practically melted in your mouth. I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Next time, I'll be ordering food with my wine and lingering much longer! Thanks for a great end to my week. See y'all soon! Cheers!

We ordered a bunch of our favorites - shrimp and grits, scallop in cream sauce with veggies. Absolutely delicious. Huge portions so it's almost like two meals for us. Shrimp & grits were unique. I have usually had spicy versions in other restaurants. This was slightly bland for my liking. It was more on the creamier side. I still liked it. For desserts, pineapple fritters with ice cream were absolutely delicious. Cheese cake was alright. Highly recommend this place.

There is parking conveniently located near the restaurant, so you don't have to worry about finding street parking. The restaurant was very clean and offered indoor and outdoor seating, along with an indoor bar area. There is also an ATM on-site. I looked at the menu ahead of time and already knew I wanted the Ultimate Seafood Platter, mainly because it included a crab cake. We also ordered oysters as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. Hands down, this was some of the best seafood I've had from a restaurant in a long time. The scallops were plump and juicy, and the fish portion was very generous. I'm usually nervous when a crab cake is included as part of a platter because I expect something small or previously frozen. That was definitely not the case here. The crab cake was a great size and tasted fresh. They offer a traditional version and an "angry" version. I ordered the angry crab cake, and it was seasoned to perfection. The other person with me ordered the seafood pasta, and it was just as impressive. The Alfredo sauce was delicious, with plump scallops, juicy shrimp, and a generous portion of pasta. It also came with amazing rustic, buttery toasted bread. The waitstaff was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the waterfront view made the experience even better.
