This is a Morehead City must. The food is delicious, the drinks are carefully made, and the service is amazing. It's a nicer casual place. Great for brunch. Dinner menu is great. The owner has a true knowledge for food and cooking. The most important thing though is the CREME BRÛLÉE. It is absolutely one of the best I've ever had. They have a Swiss chocolate and a vanilla one. Both of which are mouth watering. I'd go just for that to go. Great service from beginning to end. We had a 7 pm reservation. We were seated right away by the hostess ?? And then our server brought us the menus. Nadia was on point with the courses, never rushed us. We had a very nice meal. Food was great. Always a bonus when a restaurant offers mocktails on the menu and the server never blinks and eye when bringing them instead of an alcoholic beverage. We will be back. My friend and I stopped here to eat an early (4:30) dinner yesterday and I have to say, I'm super happy with the service I received and the food. I've been vegan now for about 7 months and eating out is a little challenging at times, but not impossible. When I was looking over their menu, I noticed it stated to let the server know if you had any special dietary needs. I told him I was vegan and he kindly informed me that the chef could prepare something for me off menu based on what I was in the mood for. I decided to order the "Black Bean Quesadilla" minus the cheese and sour cream and said something like tacos would be great since the quesadilla was now more of a taco. I also ordered the "Potatoes Brava" and he informed me the aioli sauce contained eggs so he would leave that off but it still had a spicy chili sauce on it that was vegan friendly. Perfect! My friend and I also shared the "Bread Service" tray. Yum! The server brought out to me a lovely dish that was exactly what I had requested and was in the mood for: black bean tacos with a guacamole on the side and the potatoes brava. Absolutely delicious and filling!!! The service I received was absolutely fantastic, and I especially loved the way they accommodated me for my dietary needs. Stopped here over the weekend. Food was quite good as was service. Loved their biscuit crackers, pork belly and grits were also good. Nice salty/sweet flavor to it. Tile fish special was delicious. Traveling through and staying in nearby Emerald Isle. We enjoy a small plates/tapas style restaurant and this one delivers. Our waiter Jamie was delightful. Confident, knowledgeable, and friendly, she actually made our charcuterie platter and watermelon sangria, both of which were wonderful. The chefs sampler board included a lovely selection of meats, cheeses, olives, and pickled iyems such as green strawberries, and eggpant. The chef has a fondness for freshly pickled fruits and vegetables and they are fun and delicious. I missed the more authentic Spanish cheeses, but we finished just about everything on the board. Very very nice. We also ordered Shrimp (local and fresh), charred Brussels Sprouts (in a yummy Haris a sauce) and Potatoes Bravas (a light crispy exterior with a fluffy light interiors perfect). Best restaurant was started by Chef Clarke Merrill who also owns 4 Beaufort Olive Oils. He also owns Dank Burrito (burritos, tacos, salads) & Social Q (BBQ, pulled pork, sausages, etc) restaurants. Circa 81 was his first restaurant and it continues to be successful. The chef has created small plates (tapas) wherein the diner can enjoy several various small plates. Additionally, dinner is also on the menu. The alcoholic beverages are fantastic, the food is phenomenal, and service is kind.
