Went for breakfast. Everything was good. Service was great! My French toast was supposed to be made with Texas toast. It looked like they used regular bread. It was still good. My hubby had corn beef hash. He said it was good. My only complaint is the flies. We sat by the window. On the window sill and by the next table down there were so many dead flies. Came here for lunch with three other friends. Only two of us had been here. We got here around 11 am and it was busy and getting full. All of us enjoyed the food and the service by Colleen was excellent! The atmosphere is pleasant. A little noisy at times but very casual. Two of the girls got a Ruben Sandwich ($14) with onion rings and the other a Philly Port ($17). They all enjoyed it. I got breakfast; Southern Point French Toast with ham and hash browns ($12). Update from tonight: Wow. Okay at least last time we had great service this time the service was a lot worse... no refills on drinks not checking in. Just given food and then handed the bill for "when we are ready". - the hot dog bun was burnt, the hot dog was cold - kids hamburger decent - the wrap I asked for it grilled and it came out fried - the smash burger states it had 2 4oz patties, we asked for an additional patty to make 3 4oz patties no cheese and no pickles. The burger came out with pickles and 2 patties. After asking we were told that they made 1 8oz and 1 4 oz patty... they were the same size.... Will not be back especially with the service this time. We came in within a few hours of opening so keep in mind they are just figuring things out. This is going to be a great place to stop into before hitting the beach or taking out the boat. Stock up on drinks, sandwiches and ice or drop in afterwards for a good meal and friendly staff. The restaurant may seem odd at first until you realize it's technically a convenience store because of zoning. Seating is limited due to the zoning restrictions. Pros Friendly engaged staff and owner. Elevated lunch items straight forward breakfast. More soft drink selections than you will find at any restaurant anywhere. Prepared foods, chips and drinks are ready for takeout. Beer and wine are coming once they get a permit. My burger had thick slices of beefsteak tomatoes. Good tasting meat and three onion rings on it. Cons (Again keep in mind they just opened) Your at a breakfast/brunch place, syrup, jelly, salt and pepper should be on all tables (they are still working this out). Although there was a ton of staff, service was slow even though they can only seat 35 people right now. This is a workflow issue that will improve quickly. I ordered a burger, medium rare, got a well done burger. Fries needed salt. Onion rings were refrigerator cold inside. My wife's omelette was prepared as if made by a child but tasted good. The burger bread was thick, dense and hard. A softer less expensive bun is preferred by most people. This felt like a soft opening. Many simple and obvious things were not in place but that's ok, they'll figure all that out within a day or two. Everything was clean bright and the staff was eager to please. We stopped at the Compass Grill while on vacation. This was not a great restaurant experience. Our waitress only visited our table once, all the while she continued to chat and laugh with staff and other customers. We waited 45 minutes for our food, having to ask other staff members to check on our food. Our food was cold on arrival, we were told that Door Dash had taken priority in the kitchen. We asked for a concession on our bill we were told that everyone had to wait a long time for their food. But others arriving after us were served their food promptly. The wait staff became combatant and said they did not need our money. But of course they still took our money. This restaurant really needs to take a deep dive into how to resolve problems and not get emotionally involved. read more

Had an awesome time!! We come here once a year and we found our favorite breakfast spot. The pancakes were like a dessert plus the iced latte. It was simple inside, but cute and had lots of coolers of drinks. The service was great and so fast too with the nicest waitress. After our trip to The Market, we decided to have brunch and discovered the Compass Grill in Cedar Point. There's a lot of parking in the front. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Fairly busy for a Tuesday. They have standard tables and bar tables. We were sat at a bar table. Beverages are self service, which I honestly liked. They have the code and fountain beverage station. There's also a wall of coolers with about half filled with all kinds of beverage choices. I did not see alcohol. While I was getting coffees, a couple was sat on the other end of our table. Interesting and harmless. Not a common practice stateside. The menu has typical American breakfast and lunch options. They also offer specials. We went with the biscuits and gravy and a pancake breakfast. After a short wait our plates were delivered. Everything looked and smelled great. The pancakes came with eggs, potatoes, and sausage. The buttermilk pancakes were thick and very good. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. I actually used some of the gravy on my potatoes and eggs. Very good! We also thought the price was fair. Overall we liked our experience here and would eat here again. I recommend giving this place a try. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Not worth one star. We waited for over 45 mins for our food. There were 3 of us and one person only ordered bacon. Our waitress mingled with the wait staff and other tables, she came to our table one time during the wait and we had to flag down 2 other waitress' for refills and to check on food. Multiple other tables that were seated long after us received their food, ate it and left before ours ever came out. One patron got up and got his own refill. There was no shift manager on site. Our food was cold and not good. When the lead waitress came to our table for payment she told us we could not be comped bc they were behind due to door dash orders. They told us they didn't need our money and made derogatory comments when called out on the poor service. read more

Went for the first time this morning for breakfast. I had their crabcake Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was the best I've ever had, the eggs were perfectly poached. One of the best breakfast I've ever had. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and the whole experience was a fulfilling. It's where CP's grill used to be. Food was great. Everyone there was super nice! The menu looks fantastic with breakfast served all day. They have a separate additional menu for Friday and Saturday evenings. I had the shrimp and grits and they were not stingy with the shrimp! The biscuit they give you was sliced and grilled and delicious! My husband got a breakfast platter with lots of food.
