Unfortunately I sucked this day, but that is certainly not the fault of this course. It was all me!! This is a nice challenging course. I played the back nine after work with some co-workers. You can very easily leave your woods in your bag and play irons and most often wedges for many of the holes. For those of us who need work on that part of their game, of which I certainly do, it was a good challenge. No bombs away here, you will need to actually shape your shots. Several dog leg lefts and right will prevent you from just trying to blast your way to the green. The twilight price is very affordable, $16 for nine or $24 for 18 you can work your day and still get some good golf in. I thought about giving a horrible review so there would be less people coming here to get their golf, but that just wouldn't be fair for this great little course.

Took some clubs out to demo area. Decided on clubs. Pick out shoes and bag inside. I ask my helper can I get any type of deal if a buy all right now. Was told big NO. Not politely. Just NO . Keep in mind this was a big purchase. So I asked this question. I picked up a sleeve of balls. " I will buy all right now if you throw in this sleeve of balls" My helper whom seemed upset for me to ask for a tiny discount for spending close to 2k came back and said NO. I WALKED OUT, slowly. I thought no way they let me leave. They did. I had to borrow my mom's clubs for tournament.

The volcanic cinder in the sand traps looks great in photos but will destroy your clubs so don't hit out of them. The course is in pretty good shape, the greens roll true, and you're out in a peaceful setting. Lots of trees here--be prepared to have to punch out of trouble; you might even find yourself needing to hit a punch shot after finding the fairway, as some holes have trees growing over the edge of the fairway. Trees aside, there are a couple of water hazards and a fair amount of bunkers that can hurt your score if you aren't careful. Overall, I think this is a pretty solid course. What some of the other reviews have mentioned about the staff seem to be true. While the first employee I met, a college student at UO, was friendly, the person working the front desk seemed stand-off-ish and didn't seem thrilled that I was playing that day. I think the customer service could use some work.

Very bad service and extremely unprofessional staff…read more My son and his friends went golfing using Youth on Course to help with the ridiculous price of a round. They called ahead to ask if they could reserve a tee time, and the employee told them they could just come in and they would find an opening. To avoid the risk of showing up and not being able to play, my son went ahead and booked a tee time. When they arrived, they checked in at the front desk, where a young employee told them that next time they could just come in. Then an older employee, who I assume was the manager, came over and accused them of trying to cheat the system. They weren't trying to cheat anything--they literally did exactly what they were told to do. They were ultimately charged the normal rate , but apparently that wasn't enough. While they were teeing off, the same older employee drove up in his golf cart and started calling them "bitches" and "punks" and accusing them of trying to pull a fast one. Completely unacceptable behavior from someone representing a golf course. If this is how you treat young golfers who are simply trying to use a legitimate youth program, maybe the problem isn't the kids. Maybe it's the staff. They were also told not to come back. After being treated like that, I don't think they'll have any trouble following that instruction. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing customer service. If the course doesn't want to participate in Youth on Course, perhaps they should reconsider the program--or reconsider who they have dealing with customers.

The fairways were outlined with beautiful oak trees making it a somewhat of a challenge navigating your shot. This was my first time playing this golf course and I will definitely come back to play.
