Absolutely amazing experience overall, clean pumps and great customer services to where they even aided me in such difficult quick situations during the automated self checkout-- the manager currently working there? Amazing woman, hard working and incredibly helpful when I had a hard time understanding the tap method on the pump. Only gripe I had were the embarrassing locals who had no sort of concept or clue to being reserved and intelligent human beings, honestly it gave me 2nd hand embarrassment when a grown man who didn't understand how his EBT card functioned-- began to cuss out the poor manager simply because he ran out of money on it. I usually only pump Chevron or Costco, but this was the nearest thing to me at the moment, and surprisingly the gas here was around 20 cents cheaper than Chevron or Shell based on the Gas Buddy app. They only have four stalls, and it can get busy, I had to wait a bit before a stall opened up. I had no issues with the credit card machine, although it was weird that I had to use a keypad that was not next to the card slot but on the other end of the pump. But it was quick and smooth transaction. I didn't go inside so not sure what the store is like, but yes they have a Red Box as well. Overall, I had no issues. It's a gas station. They sell gas and junk food. They also have a redbox (the main reason I go here). It's very common to have sketchy people hanging outside the building, even during the day hours, and I often wonder if someone is going to mug me. No I'm not being dramatic. Every time I come here its usually crowded or a wait to use the gas pump. The staff is friendly inside I will give them that. But for some reason people don't feel the need to park in a spot & park along the curb. Causing everyone else to drive around them.. How convenient! Although Circle K do sell gas, I do not come here for that (I normally pump at Shell). I come here for their convenience store usually for their food and snacks. And I have to say that their convenience store is one of the best compared to other gas stations like Shell and Chevron. It is hard to decide between Circle K, 7-Eleven, and AM-PM for the convenience store as they all both have great drink and food selection With that said, my review will focus on the convenience store rather than gas. I was here on July 6, 2017 at around 18:00. We ordered some Arizona Ice Teas, water, and snacks (chips, candy, and ice cream). I also wanted to mention that they have a pretty good drink selection and the froster. 89 cents sounds like a great deal for any size of the drink. Even though McDonalds have the cheap $1 large drink, there is not much drink selection compared to here at Circle K. The service here is great. The short dude remembers us because I used to frequently shop here because of the location right next to my friend's work place. I am often the errand boy when it comes to buying drinks for my friend's coworkers. I never had any problems with coming here even if the that dude was not there. I also have to mention that they have a good tire pump for your car. It is auto programmed and you can select how much pressure you want to put it in. I have not used it in this trip but I must say this is one of the best gas stations because I do not have to worry about overfilling my tires.. I hope other gas stations follow suit. It does cost $1 to use it unless you make a gas purchase (complimentary). They also have an amazon locker, the only part I do not like about it is that it is located outside of their store when compared to the ones at 7-Eleven (Gold Coast and Camino Ruiz). Being out in the open to pick up a package late at night is not recommended here. TL;DR: This location has great customer service, their automated tire pump, and their convenience store is great for 89 cent drinks any size, which deserves a 4 star from me. When I go to a connivance store it's for the convenience, not for a comedic, irritating, invasive, ignorant banter from the clerk. What I buy to eat, drink, medicate or read is no longer going to receive a stupid comment from the clerk. Today when the indignant clerk remarked about my purchase I told him that his comments were not welcomed he said that he was... just trying to be funny..., I replied that I will... just take my business elsewhere. Up until tonight I have probably dropped $1,200 to 1,500 dollars a year at this establishment. I did boycotted the store once for their blatant sales of alcohol to minors years ago. I go to this Circle K because of the location and they always have the cheapest gas in the area on GasBuddy. There are only 4 pumps so it gets congested real quick and only becomes a frustration when people pay cash or go inside for additional items. Otherwise, this place can get the job done. read more

[ DISHONORABLE ADVERTISING ] 3/12/18 (approx.1615 hrs.) I pull (2) Tecate 24 oz. Cans of Beer via shelf advertising (2 for $3) and proceed to Point Of Sale. CIRCLE K Manager (Eduardo) rings up Reg. Pricing. It should be $3.45 out-the-door. Being a regular patron, I informed Manager of the "2 for $3" Banner attached to entire shelf in question. Feigning disbelief, the Manager accompanied me to the beer-lockers, and lo and behold in Bright Yellow Banner "2 for $3" signage! Eduardo (the Manager) then proceeds to remove the entire Yellow Banner, & all evidence thereof, from the refrigerated beer enclosure. When I accompanied him back to the counter-area, I inquired as to the $3 deal as advertised ... Request Denied. I retrieved my car keys & $20-Bill from the counter to leave, and inadvertently dropped my $20-Bill in a haste to exit this particular Circle K establishment vowing never to return. Imagine my frustration when I went 2-blocks down to 7-11 (same beer @ "2 for $3.50") ... only to discover that I misplaced/lost the only cash I had on me!! LOL CIRCLE K !! All this because Circle K manager chose not to honor posted advertisement. Maybe the Gas Pump pricing as Advertised differs on Cash vs. Credit transactions? Should consumers be worried? Afterall, this was the Manager that was my contact @ the Point of Sale, who had the option of overriding the transaction, to honor the $3 Deal. Apparently, this location needs every penny-pinching tactical approach conceivable! I may be an am/pm guy, but Circle K does well in a pinch. Even though the item selection isn't as robust as 7-11 or am/pm, the beverage bar is decent, plus there's free chili and nacho cheese for your hot dogs and/or chips. The Froster still isn't the same as a Slurpee, though. read more

I almost always use this gas station because it's very close and usually one of the cheapest places in the area. Also, the employees have good customer service which helps make the experience pleasant. My only issue with them is how often they have things "out of order". Twice when I've gone to get a slushy the machine's been broken. If I want one I just go to the 7-11 that's right there, I don't even go in and check anymore. Then there's the pumps.. Which seem to be constantly out of service. I went to get gas one day, and one pump was out of service. I went back days later and that pump and ANOTHER were out of service. With only 4 pumps to begin with, this is a big inconvenience. And it happens pretty often compared to other gas stations I've frequented. read more

This is my favorite place to get gas in town. It is conveniently placed in my neighborhood. It is right near a large shopping center and a little away from the main strip, so there isn't as much of a build up of cars. The prices here are great, both on the gas and on the food and drinks inside. Not to mention, the staff is always friendly! I don't have a bad word to say about this place. Price good, but not worth the trouble. Credit machines at their gas pumps are finicky, sometimes claiming credit card has been declined or transaction has been canceled. Makes you wonder if you should go back and check your credit card statement to ensure you were not charged twice or paying gas for the next person/car after you. Paper receipt at their gas pumps are often out, requiring you to have to go into the store to retrieve receipt. Not cool if you are in a hurry. Staff is pretty unfriendly and unempathetic regarding issues. Not good to stop here unless paying in cash (to be safe) and not in a hurry. They do have Redbox, Amazon locker, and Glacier water at this site also. read more

I am a fan of circle K, but the service I just received at this store was disgusting. The associate "Boyman", was rude and more disturbing he tried to intimate me but glaring and talking low. I made sure to repeat everything he said back to me aloud so a manager can watch and hear what he was saying on the video feedback. In working in retail myself I know everyone has bad and good days, but you never try to intimate a customer. Also his English skills need work because I would ask him a question and he would answer something different. I asked the price of an item and he told me the item was a few hours old? The clerk that was working on Saturday February 20th around 1030 A.M. is a thief!! He is a male, probably in his 40's, starting to bald, may have worn glasses, and Hispanic. I had him cash in my $38 in winning lottery tickets. I counted the winning amount myself prior to giving him the tickets, so I knew it was a $38 payout. I watched him run them through the machine and the screen on the lottery machine reconfirmed $38 payout. BUT HE ONLY GAVE ME $35 BACK!!! I told him the machine added up to $38. HE TOLD ME THE MACHINE DOESNT ADD THE TOTAL, AND SMILED. He looked very guilty. The $3 was not worth the argument so I left. I am not crying about the $3! But, if the clerk is stealing from the customers, then I am sure that he is stealing from the owner. I can just imagine the cash paying customers that he doesn't ring up properly at the register. I have been around the block a few times, and know how these people get away with stealing $80 to $100 a day. By far and away my favorite convenient store in San Diego. I've been going here almost every day for about 2.5 years now and I've never had any issues with any of the employees. They all have amazingly friendly attitudes and always have a smile on their faces (at least when I go in there) and are always courteous to the customers. In fact 2 of the younger employees specifically I wouldn't think twice about just going there to hang out and talk/joke around with if I didn't think that it would get them in trouble or interfere with their work. I don't know how a person can give this place a 1 star rating and say its horrible unless they have a seriously rusty jagged metal spike up their rear ends. read more

Although gas is usually the cheapest in Mira Mesa, station is a bit run down. For example: my pump continuously stopped pumping gas even though tank was not full. Keypad for entering your zip code lies near the nozzle instead of near the screen. I think convenience is worth paying a few cents more. read more
