What should have been a simple task had become overwhelming, and by the time I arrived, I was struggling to think clearly and figure out what I needed. They noticed I needed help, took the time to patiently guide me, and treated me with respect, kindness and understanding. Not just help me find something in the store -- but they helped me feel grounded again. Offering compassion, patience, and even a hug when I needed one. That moment of human connection helped me reset and continue through my day. Thank you for seeing me, slowing down, and creating a safe space. Your kindness mattered more than you probably know.

It may be pricier than Safeway but for the convenience factor, we didn't find it to be too expensive. Over our 2-day visit to Santa Cruz we stopped in a few times to buy bottled waters, milk, muscle milk, bananas, and a bottle of wine.

My son has…read morehad several negative encounters with him and just had the most HORRIBLE experience a kid could have. He was hungry and I had to work so I gave him a stack of one dollar bills to buy something to eat. The man at the counter first ordered my son to organize the bills before handing them over. Then he gave the bills back to my son and took the food away from him and told him to "come back when you have real money". On his way out my son dropped a dollar and the man told him, "you dropped one, dumb ass." This is not okay. He would not treat an adult man that way. My son came home sad and hungry. There are so many things wrong with this interaction and the epicenter of the awfulness is this man. My son is 12. We live a few blocks away and I like that he can be independent and go there on his own. Now he doesn't want to go there because of the man and I don't blame him. Why is that man still there? After this experience I read the bad reviews he's received for treating other kids this way. What an awful experience for a kid.

No communication issue as the order was repeated back to me. Now why would he do that me? I bet he wouldn't make it like that for himself or his family. He was honestly more interested in his checklist of inventory.
