Circulating Air installed our unit 10 years ago. They have been servicing the unit twice a year for 10 years. This is the first time we have needed a repair. Water was coming through the ceiling. Our plumber said it was either condensation or a clogged line. He said to shut off the air conditioner (95 degrees +)! Circulating Air had someone coming in our area the next day. The next day, Ismael called us to say he would be coming here next. That was very helpful. Ismael went into the attic and showed us pictures of the cracked copper line. That really helped us understand the problem. He did the repair , but said that there's another area that needed replacing very soon (he was only told our A/C was off). Ismael said we would be called with a quite soon. We think Ismael did a professional and friendly job, while working in an attic during one of the hottest days of the year! read more

This is a great company to work with. Our heater/air conditioner broke down, and it was so cold in our house that I was sleeping with a ski cap on. Having seen the Circulating Air trucks at a nearby construction site, I got the number and gave them a call. The office manager, Suzy assured me I was in good hands and she was right. The technician, Nick, arrived right on time, and diagnosed the problem immediately: broken motor and control panel. Suzy ordered the parts and a few days later, another technician named Jamison came over to install them, because poor Nick had been rear ended. Their staff is big enough that the handoff (of the parts) went smoothly. Both men were a pleasure to work with. Circulating Air does not clean out air ducts, but Jamison said that Suzy will recommend other companies that don't upsell customers or rip them off. Good to know. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is undoubtedly the *worst* experience I have *ever* had with *any* contractor, and I have a lot of experience. I will not provide details because I am concerned they may be vindictive and would come after me if they identified me. They were (a) incompetent, (b) extraordinarily rude, (c) self-satisfied, (d) irresponsible, and (e) completely unprofessional. I had to hire another company to come in to fix the improper work by Circulating Air. The second company fixed it within a few hours, and showed me how the original work was obviously done wrong. Unfortunately, because of the poor original installation, the secondary repair looks poor; but there was nothing to be done about that unless we started from scratch. One more thing: This is not a problem with one particular person. The problem goes to the top of the company. My advice: Find someone else for your HVAC needs. read more

I truly appreciate how Liza and Johnny (service manager) handled our AC problem. The AC water leak was addressed by changing the pipe. Johnny together with Lucas and David fixed our AC water leak. Just hoping that all the technicians sent to service AC units really take the time to fix an issue so the solution is for the long term. During this horrendous heat wave our A/C kept failing. It was close to unbearable for my wife and me and our senior cat. We had 2 A/C companies come to our apt. One got good reviews---Season Control Heating and A/C. Both told us when they were onsite it was running and Nothing" could be done despite the triple digit heat. We paid both. Sounded crazy but we didn't know better. Then Sal from Circulating Air arrived. Our lucky day!!! He told us what we'd been told was rediculous. He found the capacitor (apparently, the battery to the a/c motor) was near dead. He replaced it and after 3 horrible days of 106* temp we were good to go. Sal was also a great teacher! He patiently taught us how to keep our a/c running properly. Sal is a gem and put these other companies to shame. Kudos to Circulating Air and Sal!!!!! read more

Mike is an absolute rockstar. My wife and I just purchased our first house with central A/C. We had another unnamed A/C company come out to inspect the unit and they told us we had ducting issues that needed to be rectified, and that they couldn't get the compressor working. They quoted us about 3k to fix everything. Sad faces all around. Before forking over that kind of coin, I wanted a second opinion. Enter Mike and circulating air... Mike came out right on time, looked over the whole system in no-time, including the ducting... and said he didn't see ANY of the issues with ducting the other contractors claimed were there. He replaced one small capacitor and the system started blowing frosty cold in no time. Even though our system was old, he told us it was in great shape, the ducting was great, we weren't "losing any air". He gave us some tips on keeping our system running and what to look for in the future. He just as easily could have tried to upsell us, but instead he was honest, did great, professional work, and All in all it was like $150. I think Mike was there for about 45 minutes and saved us about 2800 bucks. I'll definitely call these guys in the future for any issues. My only regret is that Circulating Air doesn't participate in the LADWP program that is giving away free nest thermostats... if only so I could give them more of my business! Keep up the great work, Mike! Hopefully I won't need you guys anytime soon, but when I do, you'll be my first call. read more

There are much better choices in southern California for HVAC for installation and service. As a customer, I was hoping for a professional, clean job and I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. Next time, I will use due diligence in research to find a more sound, reputable HVAC company to take care of my HVAC needs. Please use caution when you hire trade professionals and get references to avoid hiring an inferior contractor. read more

My family had been a loyal customer of Circulating Air since 2000. I had a new HVAC unit installed in May 2021. When I started to use the heater in October 2021, the heat would turn on and then go off repeatedly. Circulating Air came out SIX times in three months to attempt to fix it. It was a defective unit. I spoke with my attorney many times to find the best way was to deal with this. The end result was they removed the HVAC from my roof. I received the majority of my money back except for the duct work I paid for because I was told it would fix the issue and it did not. The owner was so petty that she asked if I wanted to keep the duct work even though they would have not been able to reuse it and would have thrown it out. I was told, in late November, that "the install wasn't done correctly" and "that it may have been hot that day and the installers could have been in a rush." I was shocked and stunned when I was told this. They had to come out late last year to move the HVAC unit over since it was installed incorrectly in May 2021. Also, how exactly does new duct work, separate from an HVAC unit? My attic was nice and warm while I was freezing in my house! The owner wrote to me: "I am sorry that after fifty-six years you have ruined our perfect record of not making right any negligent work we may have done." As I read this sentence, it should have said "WE" have ruined not you. This was all done by Circulating Air not by me. I guess 3.5 out of 5 stars is considered perfect by them. The owner never apologized to me for what I went thru with the company. I was always polite and never raised my voice to anyone from the company. On the day the unit was removed, I was told that the owner had asked if I had ever thrown any of the workers out of my home, which showed me what she thought about me as a twenty-one year loyal customer and was simply insulting. read more

Hi Circulating Air! I'd like to inform you that you have a driver who is a total jerk! Now, I understand if your man wants to drive 50 mph in the middle lane of the freeway. He's on the clock and he is getting paid whether or not he shows up on time. But your guy decided he wanted to live his dream as a Nascar racer and not let me pass on his left. It was the perfect way to start my week! All I could do was laugh as your guy, who must have been around 50, laughed at me as he blocked me in. The exciting thing was he was driving the company truck with your name all over it! So instead of some dude just getting his kicks giving others a hard time, I get your company name and phone number! And, just to put the cherry on top, I work for a restaurant chain that loves to take bids on new HVAC. read more

They came out 3 times to service our unit over a 2 month span. They flushed it on one of the visits. They eventually told us we would need to replace the entire unit at a cost of over $6,400 not including the installation. Had a 2nd opinion come out only to explain and discover the water source was never turned back on by the repairman at C.Air, and that the hoses weren't put back on properly evidenced by leaking when the water was turned back on. Unfortunately, this repairman couldn't work on this type of unit cause they weren't insured for them. Explained this to someone at C. Air and he blamed the 2nd opinion for not "completing the job". Finally had a 3rd opinion come out to have a look. Long story short, 3rd opinion did a much more thorough inspection and flushing of the system and our AC has been working great over the last hot hot month without any issues. Giving 2 stars instead of 1, because a rep from C. Air did finally call to apologize for the incident. read more

Our existing air conditioning system was just not strong enough to cool down the upstairs offices. Sales Rep Devin was really pleasant on the phone. They were very professional. They came on time, did thorough inspection and explained the process clearly. Most of all his plan worked perfectly. Now the employees are more comfortable at cooler offices this summer. read more

AC went out Tuesday night, called first thing Wednesday and they squeezed us in for a noon Thursday install. Mike, Daniele and the team at Circulating Air rock!  I need to mention I live in the So Cal desert and the high temps were over 100 and we had monsoonal humidity making it even hotter and they installed it during the heat of the day. Just to be fair, I am doing an update. Found out that my tenant didn't request line testing. I still don't understand why they would fill a leaking unit and charge me. Nevertheless, I contracted with them again to fix the leak in the unit and they did the job as promised and within budget. I realize this is my second review but I must warn others regarding this company. As I mentioned, I was having problems with my radiant heat and I hired Circulating Air to diagnose the problem. They said it was my heat exchange and that my system needed flushed. Alex from the company called me with and said they had found the replacement part and it would cost $1500 plus installation. Meanwhile I hired Stuart Rose Heating to diagnose and as I was getting the bid from Circulating Air for $1500, Stuart Rose fixed the problem in one visit for $122! Thankfully we now have heat in the house and I hate to think that if I had gone along with this company I would have spent well over $2000 for nothing. read more

This company is the preferred vendor of my condo, so I had them to fix the ac unit, and the service itself was not bad. The repair guy who came in charged for the 30 minutes to find a parking spot in downtown LA. I confirmed with him if that was the rule, and he said that's what they normally do. I didn't want to argue with him at my place because he is a very sturdy guy and I'm not, and I was alone . What should I do with a guy who already lied to me? Checked with the main office after he left, I found out that he was supposed to bill from when he actually started working. I'm waiting for the main office's call to correct this issue. It's $65 for me, but I wouldn't hire service providers who don't know what the reputation means on their job. === Update: I called the office this morning, and got the money back after talking to 2 people. I didn't hear nice words, like sorry or apology, but received it after spending my time worth more than $64. I requested the condo management to switch preferred vendor, and I hope the manager can find a better one. read more
