In my Opinion, yes it's my very first time trying out the CIS Drivers Ed and I'm just 18 years old, some of you may say I don't know what I'm talking about or I'm just a little girl that doesn't know anything, but for my age I'm pretty mature if you ask me. I've been with CIS Drivers Ed since 2014 of November and thanks to them I was able to pass my Drivers Ed written Exam, the process was good, Glenn would have us watch videos of the Rules and Regulations and how one should be driving and after all the films were done he will then Test us on it! And later once we would be done with our exams, he will then go over it with us and explain why were the answers wrong and really helped us understand, the concept, and before we left he actually motivated Us to take the Exam and believe in ourselves and so I did, and Thank God I did pass my written Exam, thanks to all the preping Glenn gave me! Now, I've been working on my Behind the Wheel driving with them, and Honestly I wouldn't be comfortable driving out on the streets if it weren't for them. Yes, they do have a very Outgoing personality, but that's good because No one wants a teacher who's boring and quiet, that'll just make them not want to ever come back. So some people tend to misunderstand certain ways of talking. Glenn is really cool, he could really be a comedian sometimes, but that's what makes the learning FUN because he's just not about always being strict and mean with you, but making you feel comfortable with yourself, so one may not be nervous and actually learn. Overall The Teachers there are great!! One can really learn and the Teachers personalities are Amazing and Funny. People can just misunderstand ones personality, But you wont ever know until you actually experience it yourself! I recommend this place to Anyone!! read more

This drivers school is the best drivers school in So Cal do not listen to any other reviews, they're invalid and just plain wrong I was a student at cis drivers school and here is the real truth of what you will see when enrolling at cis. I had not only received the up-most educational blessing from this school but also the teachers and staff is all very helpful and very well mannered. On top of that I had a good time thanks to the main instructor and owner of cis (glen) who brought me the knowledge in a way I want to receive it, through clear and helpful ways of learning such as having a laugh or making a joke to help you remember the lesson. They may be pretty cheesy the jokes but that's how you're never going to forget it so I was very impressed with him connecting with his students on a level they want to learn on. My attention was drawn and in full scale I was ready for the drivers test and behind the wheel exam the first time! I aced both thanks to cis drivers school. I really really recommend it and encourage you taking your son or daughter there because they will leave with everything they need to pass, they're very professional and caring for their students educational needs and receiving the lessons in a way they will understand and the great thing about it is it doesn't even take long to finish AND on top of that it beats any competitors price by half! The owner Glen, is 48 and flirted with me even after finding out that I was around (30 YEARS )younger than he is. I made it obvious that I felt uncomfortable as well. YOU DO NOT GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. He used the time we were supposed to be out training to run errands to a friends house. He even made a stop to get lunch which was an immediate RED FLAG as I stayed in the car while he went to go get lunch. He is an old disgusting man , and even after making faces at the stupidity he continued to brag about his life and even tried lying to me about his age, not that it would make a difference, I knew he was much older than my father. This man is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and I do not recommend this "driving school" to anyone. This man NEEDS SERIOUS HELP. He was too comfortable with inviting me to call him and giving me his business card so that I can call him to discuss us hanging out. He asks questions that are too personal and would make anyone feel as though they want to get out of the car as soon as possible. I worried about him possibly trying to force himself in my house and regretted not bringing my pepper spray along with me. THANK GOD I told my father who went up there and got a FULL REFUND. I paid $250 for three driving lesson's and I am pleased to say I received my money's worth. My driving instructor Glenn showed me the basic fundamental's of driving for my first scheduled drive. He not only verbally communicated the steps and procedures to me but took into consideration that i learn better visually and showed me visually as well. He expressed to me that through his methods of teaching I'm keeping not only myself but other driver's on the road safe. He taught me not only to drive for myself but for others as well. My personal experience with my instructor Glenn was great. Throughout my next scheduled lessons he taught me very specific steps that essentially allowed me to master area's of driving for example parallel parking perfectly in different scenarios. Further more if there was something I felt I needed to improve upon I told him and he showed how to approach my weakness in ways it no longer remained an issue. Today I had my first driving lesson with the CIS driving school. My instructor was a little late but he called in advance to let me know that'd be the case. Besides that I had a great time driving despite it being my first time driving in the street. Glen (the manager) was very calm while instructing me which was really nice because it made me less nervous and more confident. I had trouble with turning, but Glen explained how to do it and had me practice until I was good enough to do it properly on a residential street. All in all the driving lesson itself was pretty great 9/10 would definitely recommend. The only problem I had unrelated to the driving instruction portion, was trying to make appointments. I had to reschedule twice because of errors on their part. If you have a loose schedule though I wouldn't worry. read more

We just finished our 2nd course with CIS; the first one for our eldest son, and now following up with our youngest boy. We are EXTREMELY satisfied with everything the boys learned, and the experience they gained. The driving instructors were experienced, knowledgeable and calm. Most of the people in my neighborhood use another Driving School, just because everyone else does, I guess.....CIS is much more competitively priced than the competition, and they provide exactly the same service - and maybe MORE. They even took my son to the course that he was going to be driving for the DMV test at the location he was going to test at. I don't think all the school do that. CIS driving school has one of the best instructors I have come across. Ron was so patient and calm. He helped me ease my nerves while driving and this was a miracle given the fact that I was terrified of driving when I started my lessons. He let me know if he would be late but came right on time most of the time. I'm so grateful he was patient but firm with me. It helped a ton! Glenn was really helpful too. He had more of the "just do it" type of attitude which helped because when driving you need to be confident and assertive. i must say that I did not pass my behind-the-wheel test the first time, and have yet to take it again, due some backing problems. CIS driving school was the prime factor in assisting both of my 2 teenagers in obtaining their permit and drivers license. I didn't know what to think at first because they were a few minutes late, but my husband informed me that Glen did call and inform him the instructor would be late, everything was straightened out. I was also a little concerned about my daughter being comfortable around a male instructor but once I met Ron he completely eased our concerns, he was professional, courteous and very respectful. I give CIS Driving School 5 stars because i've had excellent experience with them. My son took classes with CIS 3 years ago and passed his written exam on the first try. He only missed 2 questions. He had to drive with a permit for 6 months because he was only 16 years old at the time. When he took the driving test he passed thanks to CIS. Now my 17 year old daughter took the class with CIS, passed the written test at DMV, and now just finished her driving lessons. She's driving all the time with me in the car and she is great at it. Now she's ready to do her driving test at DMV, I highly recommend CIS to everyone. read more

Honestly I was quite skeptical after reading all those negative reviews and was really scared but I was on a budget. The first two hour session he took me all the way to beach which was fun. My instructor Glen was was very firm and taught me well. He helped me create safe habits and allowed me to be independent, which I'm sure the instructors tried to do but people slip up. Glen is always on time, he doesn't put pressure on you, and the way he corrects you on your mistakes are awesome.
