They explained each step to me and after my xrays they explained what the next steps were before the doctor came in. There was a long wait. I only saw 1 dentist there but I was told they were short on the staff the day I went. The dentist explained some concerns and options for me and they brought me a quote to think things over. The dentist did my cleaning with an electric tool. It was very painful for me. Next time I will ask if he can use the manual one. But the dentist was kind and I can tell he was working hard to get to all of the clients waiting.

His options to me were to wear it in pain or go to a specialist and have my bone shaved . I never heard of such a thing. I showed him where there was some rigid pieces and he said no it's because my bone sticks out , even though I showed him the riged pieces on the partial they made . And if they thought it couldn't be made to fit without pain because of my bone needed to be shaved first, Wouldn't you think that the Dentist would have known this before they made the partial and told me the potions before they made it !!!! To me if that was going to be a problem, they should've told me before they made the partial. Not edited until it was paid for and it was painful and was leaving a raw hole in my gums!!!! They should never make an appliance for your mouth that is going to hurt without letting you know first!!! And apparently they knew because that's the first thing you said it had to do with my bone that needed to be shaved in my jaw, yeah right!!!!!! UPDATE: the pain was so bad and come to find out, There was an infection and it had nothing to do with my bone in my jaw. And for a dentist to not have noticed there was an infection that was very poor dentistry. . The infection is gone and now I can wear the prosthetic. I didn't need to go to that other doctor they referred me to , all I need was to be treated for the infection that the Dentist didn't even notice because he wouldn't listen to what I was saying . They just needed to do a correct diagnosis. The new dentist is not someone I would recommend to anybody.

I picked this office after deciding after 10+ years to get a cosmetic crown over a root canal I had done. The original mould taken of my teeth before my tooth was shaved down was taken while I still had glue on the back of my teeth from a permanent retainer I had to get removed prior to the procedure, and I believe this resulted in many issues with my crowns in the future, although this was never confirmed when I mentioned it. I ended up having the crown remade, getting the first one shaved off my tooth since the color was dark in certain lighting. When my first crown was taken off, a bit of my tooth next to it was shaved off too, one of the ladies said it might have been the shape of my new tooth while I was there, but after comparing pictures, my tooth was definitely nicked. Unfortunately, all of my worry about the color was small, as the feeling of the back of the crowns felt awful. Ultimately, after over an hour of shaving the final crown down, it is a shape I feel like I can live with for the rest of my life without bothering me. The color is a bit off, even after going in person to the tooth color lab. It is not worth it to me to have more damage to my other tooth, risk feeling a tooth that does not belong in my mouth again, or not being able to bite with my front teeth for another 3 months to have one remade. Overall, it is better than when I came in, but I am not sure I would go through the process again if I was sent back in time. I am really glad they were willing to remake the crown without hesitation, I am not sure if the errors are human, the specific lab, or the technology is not quite there yet. Mostly just posting if there is anyone else debating and looking for a singular dark front tooth case.

P.S. this is an environment that that the communications between staff are all in Spanish. So unless you know Spanish. The communication will very likely to be culturally awkward and uncomfortable for you. And I want to mention, one of the front desk staffs, let's just say, would give you an attitude with a big fake smile on her face when you don't comply with whatever they tell you to do (such as you don't sign what they want you to sign). I'm planning to go to a real 5 stars review Orthodontist. I would suggest not to pay any amount you don't have to up front, no matter what they tell you. And read your contract very very carefully before you sign anything! Take your time, think through! And keep in mind that there is better orthodontists out there. Two years or longer is a long time - mind their communication style, trust your instinct. I only checked google reviews before I went there which I doubt the authentication now after what I experienced. At my very first visit there, even though that they are seemingly nice, I had a feeling that something is off, insincere, and not trust-worthy, so unfortunately I went with the process because I thought to myself for a second, "ahh, what could go wrong, they have good reviews, I'm must being paranoid." This was the worst traumatizing experience with dentist in my life. On which side to keep tools and how to work together. Which was already scary. Assistant was rude and was hurting me so much with suction tube. Very unprofessional, I asked her several times and she didn't listen. Then dentist drill the big hole in my lip by mistake with the dental drill. It was so much blood and so painful. They were trying to stop bleeding, pressing so hard, and not only they left a big scar and hole in my lip, but dentist was making unprofessional jokes that for few days I will need to use another side of my mouth, and when I eat spicy or salty food I will remember and curse her. I am young woman and now I have a huge hole and scar on my lip. This is very sad experience. They were so rude and assistant was trying to protect herself, and she started saying that it was my fault, which was not true. Instead of apologizing and trying to calm me down because it hurt and it was very scary when they leave a big hole with a lot of blood. I always go to dentist and I never had such a terrifying experience in my life. I never had any problem. Not only that but then they charged me for this procedure, referred me to another dentist to check if there is a root canal because she wasn't sure to put crown or not. I got home I saw a lot of blood near my tooth, it was very painful. I needed to take Advil for pain relief. I couldnt keep working after the procedure. My whole afternoon, Monday and week and mood were ruined. I am very sad that they treat me like that even after the procedure. They didn't contact me for the whole week. Then, not even a week later, I had to go back because my dog decided to turn my brux guard into a chew toy. I guess I should just be glad she didn't choke... but ugh, I paid 600 bucks for that thing (at my last dentist) since my insurance company wouldn't cover it. I explained my need to come in to Karen, the receptionist. Not only did she fit me in THAT day, but she also called my insurance company & found a bite plate they *would* partially cover. So, instead of paying another $500 out of pocket for a new plate, the new one cost me $167 because it's made from a different material. I'm so glad she looked into that for me. I went in last Wednesday to have a new impressions made. Today (Monday) I got a call to tell me the new brux guard is ready - yes, already! I went at lunch to pick it up the same day. That was so fast & painless. I wish all dentists were like this because making appointment months in advance is a complete joke in my world. She was very nice and explained that the filling needed to replaced. This was the 3rd time it had to be done so I was furious and very nervous when I went it to get it done. Everyone there is really friendly, which definitely calms the nerves. When I got in the chair they asked if I wanted to listen to headphones with whatever Pandora station I wanted to drown out the sound of the drill. Um yes, please!!! I'll be back! Hopefully no more fillings though!
