Citi Field is hands down my favorite stadium in the whole wide world. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is electric and there's always something to see, eat, or do. The food options are some of the best you'll find at any ballpark, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and the stadium itself is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. Whether you're a lifelong Mets fan or just visiting for a game, Citi Field absolutely lives up to the hype. Every visit feels like an experience, not just a baseball game. Now if the Mets could get a little good mojo going on the field, it would be the perfect place.

Queens, NY (Flushing Meadows-Corona Park) - watching the Mets can be an exercise in masochism (or so I'm told), but as a non-sportsball person who has the charm of often being on the side of winning teams and cities where I attend the occasional game, the way how some lucky sumofabitch who's never stepped foot inside a casino hits the jackpot on the first try, I was thrilled to witness the Mets triumph over the Atlanta Braves on 7/9/26. This is not the first time I've been to Citi Field but it's been several years. And the first thing I noticed - as a wandering foodie who uses boring innings as an opportunity to hunt down the best eats - was that the concession game has leveled up considerably. In addition to typical stadium fare such as Italian sausage and chicken tenders with fries, you've got more premium vendors like Pat LaFrieda, Fuku, Seoul Bird, Pig Beach BBQ, Chef Kwame's Patty Palace (that's chef Kwame Onwuachi, whose hot Lincoln Center property Tatiana is *still* an impossible reservation to snag), and of course, the ubiquitous Shake Shack. I came on a company outing, and was pleased to discover that the food & beverage credit loaded onto our accounts was easy to use, and simply required scanning the ticket barcode on the MLB app. It's a beautiful park with good sightlines, and fun to walk around the concourse browsing shops and official Mets merch, and if you're me, food sampling your way around the stadium. I can't speak to the parking experience since I took public transit, but Citi Field is conveniently located right by the Mets-Willets Point stop on the 7 train or by LIRR (a quick trip from Penn Station). To avoid crowds, long lines, and jammed trains, I recommend playing hooky to catch a weekday game for the most pleasant and relaxed experience. Bottom line: this is a great outing with friends, family, or out-of-town visitors. You don't need to know what RBI stands for to enjoy this time-honored American tradition of watching grown men chase a ball, belting your heart out during the seventh inning stretch, and drinking overpriced concession stand beers.

Such an afternoon treat, came for the Mets and Red Socks game but I was really there for the food. Some of the eats we had didn't make it to photos, they were just TOO delicious. Definitely go for the pastrami sandwich, it was insanely good. That's also where you'll find the pickle spritz. Devoured a bag of zeppoles while they were warm and sugary 10/10! The sausage and peppers was a lot of bread so the ratio of bread to sausage was slightly off. A frozen strawberry lemonade ice was perfect on a sunny summer day. This is what summer time is all about.

Citi Field in Queens, home of the New York Mets baseball team, was an amazing experience! The stadium offers a great selection of food and drinks, and the layout is fantastic--you can enjoy a great view of the game from just about anywhere. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the game from a suite through my husband's company, which included plenty of complimentary food and beverages. The service was outstanding, and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. If it's your first visit, be sure to let a staff member know so you can receive a complimentary First Game Certificate as a special keepsake. The team store was also impressive, offering a huge variety of souvenirs for fans of all ages, from babies to adults. Overall, it was a memorable experience and a wonderful way to spend a day at the ballpark.

As a Yankees fan, I have to admit... I actually enjoyed my visit to Citi Field during the Subway Series. I been here once for a concert but not for a game. The stadium has a fun atmosphere, and the entertainment between innings kept the energy up throughout the game. Even though I was rooting for the other team, it was still a great experience. Of course, I had to try the food. The pepper sausage was really good and definitely worth ordering. The nachos, however, were just okay. My biggest complaint is that all the toppings were piled on top, leaving the bottom half as plain chips. Layer the toppings throughout, and they'd be so much better. Will I still say Yankee Stadium has the better food? Absolutely. But Citi Field definitely delivers on the game-day experience, and I'd happily come back for another Subway Series.

I so love the energy here! Lots of food, multiple stores to buy Mets merch, friendly employees and watched AJ Ewing make history at his MLB debut!!! And of course, the Jackie Robinson rotunda with the nine core values and his "A life is not Important except in the impact it has on other lives"..--along with several photos of the great 42, including his UCLA days!! LFGM!!!

Full disclaimer I'm a Yankees fan who was in town and couldn't resist the $16 tickets because of how bad the Mets are this season but gotta admit, this is an amazing stadium and the best one in NYC. Citi Field was really well made for a classic baseball experience and you can see it everywhere, the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, the statues and Apple outside the stadium entrance, the concourses, the seats, and the video board. Everything is top notch here other than the on field product (sorry I had to!). The one bad thing was the food....a lot of stands on the 400 level was closed and we had to go all over the place. I understand the attendance is down this year and thus the cheap tickets but this was still a let down. Ended up not being able to find the NY Chopped Cheese Sandwich that I wanted to try, I think the food stand closed. The two items I tried was decent, especially the chopped cheese premio sausage, but the Pat La Frieda steak Sandwich we got was super mid and kind of dry. Disappointing since this is apparently one of the top rated stadiums for food in the entire league? Not my experience unfortunately. Other than that though, I had a great time visiting the stadium, which has easy access from the 7 Train and it's a great activity to do, especially with tickets being so cheap!

I'm a bit impartial because I am a big METS fan. However I truly believe we have a great baseball stadium. Iconically located near LaGuardia Airport, you se the planes either taking off or landing. You also get that cool breeze from the water. Unlike the old stadium, you can now watch the game while on line for food and drinks. Their are a lot more bathrooms now, so shorter lines. My firehouse has a tradition of over 25 years of attending the home opener and I have proudly been a part of that. The stadium has plaques in the parking lot that shows exactly where all the bases and pitchers mound were located I. The old stadium. The rotunda has the big team store as well as an area honoring Jackie Robinson. The food court has some great unique choices. If in NY, catch a game and check it out, you won't e disappointed!

Still one of my most favorite places in the world. My guys have done me dirty!!! Where's my concession stand with the red sauce onions?? If it's a sanitary thing, put it behind the counter. I will PAY for that stuff and I'm sure others would too. Helllloooooooo....revnueeeeeeee! It was my first time at the Citi Field Shake Shack and that shake hit soooo hard. Went for Queens culture day and it was my first time in a few years actually. It was great to be back. Minus the onions, and the Mets losing as per usual, I will always love this stadium!

Love the stadium. This was my first visiting there. My friends got us tickets and shared their experiences with us. It was fun! I was surprised how clean it was. It seems to be very organized more or less. The staffs were attentive and efficient. There are so many food stalls; that include Shake Shack, Nathan's Hotdog, Dole. My favorite was Dole Whip. I got the cutest souvenir cup!

Nice stadium. Very well organized. Ticket takers are pleasant. All vendors are very nice. The restrooms are maintained clean and tidy. We've been coming to this stadium for many years and will continue to come back for many more.

I came here for a Mets game and had a great time. There is parking and there is a subway stop for the 7 and the LIRR right in front of the stadium. The game was fun to watch and there was a lot of energy from the crowd. There were a lot of food options ranging from gyros to hotdogs to cookies and Mr.Softee

Ask the Community - Citi Field

Is it worth extra $ to upgrade to the Piazza and Hudson club? What kind of food is available?

I didn't even realize we were in club level and had access and it was nice to be able to go into your own club area to order food and drink and hang out and have a large seating area.

Is there a train/ferry that goes to/from nearby the stadium?

7 line or or the LIRR

Can you park at Citi Field overnight for 2-day event, e.g. US Open when staying in nearby hotel? Or will we get towed?

You'll be towed. If you want to park a second day, you have to pay a second time.

    Current beer prices?

Expensive. Thats all you need to know. This is a sports stadium, so naturally everything is sky rocket prices. I wouldn't plan on having more than 2 beers here.

What section can you get autographs from?

You go up to the front and ask the MLB player during warm up hour before the game. If they are nice to you they'll sign their autograph for free.

Do gates open 1 or 2 hours before the game?

Two gates -- the Jackie Robinson Rotunda (home plate) and Hodges entrance (first base) -- open 2 hours prior to each game, while all the other gates at Citi Field open 1 1/2 hours before game time except on Saturday and Sunday, when every gate opens…

For this week the world fare,is parking free?

Paid parking! There is no such thing as free.

Do you think they need air circulating in the stands...it smells and I can't breath?

    it's an open air stadium

Which section for a concert is better to see from, 405 or 428?

Both of those sections are really high up and down opposite lines depends where the stage is set up. Concerts that I've been too there (50 Cent, NAS, Daughtry) all of the stages have been set up at 2nd base so it would be really hard to see from any…

Flushing Commons Lot 3818 Union Street, New York, NY 11354…read more Currently "Run" by metropolis. This parking experience was literally the worst parking lot experience I have ever had living in New York City . The company changed since they renovated the parking lot and I was not aware that there is a camera system installed rather than having to go through an app like the last parking company. The signage is unclear that you need to do nothing besides drive in and you will automatically start being charged. Because it was unclear we went to the guy in the booth who was literally the most unprofessional and uneducated individual I have ever interacted with. He refused to open the glass to answer a question. He sat there with an attitude, and proceeded to start cursing and threatening us when we asked him to respond. I'm honestly shocked at how this individual was hired for any job.... Following this experience when you leave the parking lot, the company sends you a survey to which I expressed my concern with the experience. But unfortunately, they never followed up, even though this behavior was completely unprofessional by any standard. I highly recommend looking for other parking lots in the area and not defaulting here because the experience is so severely poor with their customer service that I can only imagine if anything happened to your vehicle how they would treat the scenario. All of that being said for those parking here for the first time and for this company specifically , you just drive in and your license plate gets scanned and when you drive out you get charged for the time you were parked in the location (you get a text with details) which is convenient in comparison to having to use an app or anything like that but again, even with this convenience, I highly recommend staying away from this facility. Metropolis please do better with your employee training as well as your response to customer concerns because there's no point of sending a survey (having customer waste time filling it out) and then not following up on issues.
