Centerpiece for the US Open and the facilities in Flushing here, they have a bit of construction, so not every entry and exit is working which caused a bunch of problems getting to my parking despite a parking pass (see my Billie Jean King National Tennis Center review on that one). They have honey deuces and champagne collectibles on the 2nd floor. 3rd floor is suites. Great seats and a/c in the suite. The top cover closed helps with cooling during the day (or avoiding rain). read more

This was our first trip to the US Open in 2025. Although we read how easy it is to take the subway to the Open, we opted for an Uber. There wasn't a clearly marked spot to drop us off and so we walked a bit, and we ended up walking right past the station. It was directly across the bridge. So, definitely, take the subway next time. We made a reservation at Champions restaurant, but (Scam - they take your credit card for a reservation even though only courtside tickets are allowed to dine here) we were not able to eat there. I didn't like how we had to wait to get past the gates, they hold you there until after 6pm for the evening matches. Then, of course, the crowd rushes for the food, the bathrooms, and the shops and as a result, you can't do much of anything. Still, I had a delicious lobster roll from the food kiosks (Red Hook Lobster Pound). Inside Arthur Ashe, the seating was great, there were plenty of bathrooms and food options, and with the screens, you could see everything. What I didn't like, was the constant seat switching by people trying to get better seats. I suppose this happens at stadiums everywhere, but since you are supposed to be in your seat for play to start, this was so annoying to see people going up and down the stairs. Still, we got to see some great tennis, and the vibes here are great. It took forever to get to the ride share pickup (this needs better signage) and we walked quite a ways in the dark. read more

I came here for the first time on the first day of the US open and I was very impressed! We took a Lyft to the stadium and the ride share drop off / parking lot is a bit of a walk to the actual stadium. However they do offer a courtesy shuttle which I thought was nice. Security was quick and easy to get through especially considering the large crowds. The US Open village really is as cool as they say. Lots of Us open swag for sale and corporate sponsor pop ups (saw a lot from Chase in particular). If you leave the game you can always watch the match from one or the several television screens outside too. I thought the food options weee excellent. I saw lots of high end restaurants lile Coqadoq and FUKU and Eataly. Not your run of the mill fast food. It's very pricey though($8 for a soda). Don't believe they permit outside food. Inside the stadium itself, ithe seats were clean. Not super comfortable but pretty standard stadium seats . I liked how before the start of the game they televised the player rules. As someone who doesn't follow tennis closely this was a nice refresh. I'm not sure that I've seen this at other sports games I've been to. All in all I enjoyed my experience at Asher Ashe. I can't believe it's taken me this long to visit. read more

It's a great time every year for tennis and non tennis lovers. Easy to get to on the #7 the train. The seats are decent. They do have cup holders at most seats. The bathrooms are constantly cleaned. Most of the staff is helpful and friendly. The water fountains were not all working, this event generates a lot of money for NYC, the least they can do is make sure all the water fountains are working. There are plenty of quick food options and Lavazza coffee can be purchased at the San Mateo food stand. The coffee was perfect for this long day. Overall good spot! read more

I came for the US Open in 2025. They did not have clear bag policy so you can use your regular purse but make sure its not bigger than 12 by 10, ABSOLUTELY NO BACKPACKS! they will confiscate your sprays (SPF, Hand sanitizer, Hairspray, etc anything that sprays will be taken) what I find makes no sense, they were giving away spray SPF inside at AMEX but they took everyone else's. They allow me to keep my lighter. What was the purpose of confiscating spray bottles? tons of finger food, eataly was the only one I could find that did not have finger food. Of course, you have to get honeydeuce to wash down. You get to keep the cups. Tips for buying US Open tickets: 1. make sure you buy tickets in the shades the whole time 2. day session tickets is good for night game but in GA 3. if you buy tickets to Arthur ashe you get access to louis armstrong and the other court, grandstand(?) 4. the 7 train drops you off infront of the entrance read more

I came here during Fan Week for the Mixed Doubles semi-finals and finals. I had a promenade ticket and sat in one of the lower rows of the section, and I was really happy because the view wasn't that bad (see picture for reference)! I heard a worker say that the stadium is huge, so there's really no such thing as a "bad spot." The next day I came back to Ashe to watch the free player practices. It's amazing because you can sit in courtside for free :) Such a great tennis stadium (the biggest in the world) with incredible energy during matches! Tip: Billie Jean King Tennis Center (where Ashe is inside) allows outside food and non-alcoholic drinks (as of August 2025), so I recommend bringing food if you want to save money (a meal is $20+ here). I bought food in flushing and brought it here :) read more

Visited the U.S. Open to see the Fourth Round matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium. I really enjoyed shopping at the Wilson and Nike stores, and shopping for merch. We saw Jannik Sinner's match, as well as Sabalenka's match. The stadium is huge and you have to go up 4 or 5 escalators to get to the top. It's a historic stadium and a must-see landmark if you're a tennis fan. read more

This was my first time in a large tennis stadium and I loved it! This is truly one of the best ways to enjoy a tennis match. Crowd management at the front where they scan tickets could be done better. It was easy to find my section with all the signage. Decent amount of food options as well as a convenient gift shop. The seating area was kept pretty clean when I visited. I love that there is a roof in case of rain. Closed captions screen for whenever people are speaking was a nice touch. read more

This was my first time at this stadium and I was thoroughly impressed. Disclosure, I'm not a sports fan but will check out a live game for entertainment. My mother is a die hard tennis fan so I am aware of some of the players because of her. I accompanied a coworker to one of the fan games before the actual US open tournament started. Honey, this place was jam packed. I couldn't believe how many people from all walks of life were in attendance. We walked around and my friend purchased an US Open long sleeve shirt that cost about $160 . I was shocked but he said these were the regular prices and he attends every year. I just window shopped. lol. There were several vendors where you could purchase outside the stadium. After we ate we went inside the actual stadium and it was beautiful. It reminded me of a concert event with the amount of people in the seats. We had some decent seats and I really enjoyed watching the quick matches. The seats were comfortable and just the energy from the game felt cool. I would definitely return to watch a full set of tennis. read more

As a native NYer, I have to admit that this past August was my very first time visiting Arthur Ashe Stadium. Named after well renowned African American Tennis player Arthur Ashe, the Only Black Man to WIN the singles title @ Wimbledon. The stadium is the largest tennis stadium in the world. Originally built in 1997 and then renovated in 2016 with the addition of a retractable roof. The tennis complex is truly an experience. I had the opportunity to attend fan week @ the 2024 US Open and see booth Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka. Overall a great time and a proud black girl moment! The US Open Village is also a must. Capitalism at its best but worth exploring. Several vendors so arrive early and plan to spend the day. Just A Note: Even if you don't score tickets, the village is worth a visit and you can view some of the matches on screens while in the village. Just note once you enter the stadium there is no re-entry. read more

What a fun time at Arthur Ashe Stadium! Attended the U.S. Open practice day for free here and it was a fun time. We were a group of 6+ 1 kid and we never had issues finding seating or something entertaining. They had people walking around on stilts, people blowing giant bubbles, a karaoke stage for kids and about 4 pro shops to get merch. I didn't realize how many courts were here either (I noticed about 12) so we bounced around from practice to practice to catch the players we wanted to see like Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff! The pro shops were a bit expensive and you supposedly had to enter and exit a certain way, and only one time did we get stopped for going the in an exit.. only to see the person manning it leave and people began entering there. There was food and drink available for purchase as well and we got a hot dog and some water ... it was decently priced. This stadium entrance is right off the subway so it was very easy to navigate! read more

Appreciated watching the 2024 US Open Tennis match at Flushing Meadows, Queens, NYC. I usually go on the evening of September 2nd/Labor Day to watch both the women and men singles and I always sit in section 306. I find sitting here will give you an excellent view of the tennis court. It was a nice experience to see fellow New Yorkers and visitors enjoying themselves! So much history!! Truly hallowed grounds where so many legends of the game have walked through and created magical moments. I got to witness the women's final courtside last night and what a magical night to see Coco pull off an incredible victory. The first set was a washout and done in 20 minutes and it looked like Ivan Drago fighting Rocky in the early rounds. I thought the whole match would be done in 40 minutes. But just like Rocky did, she came back and won in the end!!! I am so thankful to be able to witness that in person. Also cool to see KD a couple of seats away and some other celebrities all cheering hard for Coco. read more

Its been a few years since I've attended the US Open, but attending the first round this year during a day session was great. My seats were only full sun for a short time, which was a great opportunity to grab a pizza and Honey Duce at Eatlay. The food options on the courtside level were numerous with lots of variety. I wanted to explore the grounds more as there have been several additions since my last visit, but honestly it was way too crowded to comfortably browse the public spaces, which was disappointing. Pro tip, if you want one of the Amex radios dont wait on the epic line in the plaza, there was an Amex booth on the courtside level where i got the radio with no wait. read more

I was here for a US Open match. There's a lot of good here - it's clean, there are lots of (pricy) food options, and lots of restrooms. But it quite literally took 20 minutes to exit the stadium after the session was over because everyone could only go down one thin escalator while wide, empty staircases were closed off. I cannot imagine how much there is to think about every single step. The food I can say could have been a bit better but on such a grand scale, it's difficult to serve anything great. The drink of the US Open was colorful and you get the glass cup but to pay $22 for it was phenomenal!! The Flushing Meadow Corona Park is larger than I expected there is lots of smaller courts, restaurants, shops along the way as well as large seating area to relax. Sometimes they have promotional give aways - I snagged a la roche posay sunscreen after forgetting to bring some. When it comes to the Arthur Ashe Stadium itself - it seats about 24000, and even sitting near the highest point you can still get a decent view of the tennis ball. I would definitely look into guides online that talk about seating so you know which side will and won't have sun. My biggest downside to this stadium are: 1) the numbering is VERY confusing it is hard to determine which section you are in (they should paint in large each section) because multiple people (including myself) went to the wrong section initially 2) Drinks & food (as expected) are extremely expensive (~22 a custom drink, ~14 for a Heineken beer) 3) The top of the arena can close in case of rain/darkness BUT it is very slow and play does not stop during the arena closing which can be annoying because of lighting changes and sounds from the roof closing but players are expected to continue serving while waiting for multiple minutes for it to finish tl;dr: seating can be confusing, you can see the ball even at the farthest seats, find a seating chart/guide that avoids sun read more

I love this stadium, I'm actually a graphic designer and the USTA is a client for my job. If you ever do visit be sure to wear sneakers because the walking you will do to each court is a lot! During the off season you are able to use the court facilities, during the US Open which is only 2 weeks long it's a whole different story. So many vendors are at the location from food, American Express, and even gear representing the US Open. I attended AEW Grand Slam on Wednesday the 22nd. Holy hell, what a show! Thank you Tony Khan!!! But let's talk about the venue. Sight lines are absolutely perfect for any event, whether it's rasslin' or tennis (which this stadium is apparently used for...) I was in one of the last rows but could see everything totally fine. It's one of those venues where the seats go up as opposed to out, so it's a very intimate setting. Here's the problem.. it's very much a "class system" and the venue was very unprepared for 20,000 fans. If you splurge on the club level seats, you have a huge variety of food and beverage options, many of which could be considered gourmet... However, if you were in the upper/promenade level, it's hot dogs, sausages, pretzels and a small selection of beer. I'm told they also had some off-brand seltzer's, but I wouldn't know because they ran out before the event even started. Plus the venue wasn't exactly built for 20,000+, and as you would expect there were looooong lines for the bathrooms and merchandise stands. In summary, it's a great place to watch an event, but pay up for the club level if you want to be comfortable and taken care of. read more

Was here last night for an event. What to say? The grounds are clean. The seats are roomy and comfortable, though the seating is quite confusing. The concessions? An absolute nightmare. Waited on a line for one whole hour for two beers and a soda. By the time it was my turn only Amstel and Heineken were offered and it was warm. Nothing like warm beer. Especially after waiting an hour. There was absolutely no organization to the lines. Lines everywhere. Lines so cluttered that you could barely ambulate to get to your section. The roof was closed and air conditioning was operating at a minimum. Not sure if ill ever return. *shrug* Perhaps maybe invest in vendors throughout the stadium? It'll cut the lines down for sure leaving to much safer conditions. read more

Arthur Ashe tennis stadium is a great venue, being the largest in the world. The stadium seats over 23,700 and has a state of the Art retractable ceiling costing $150 million. It is truly an amazing design and you have a good view even from the highest distant seats. I get vertigo if seated too far up in the 'nose bleed' section, so we get tickets in the halfway mark. Note: US Open Tennis tickets can be pricey. During these challenging times of the pandemic, we truly miss partaking attending these wonderful sporting events. For now, we will enjoy them on the home tv screen, and send cheers to our favorite players on the "Fan Cam" which you can access on the US OPEN app on your smartphone. I used to watch a lot of tennis growing up because my dad enjoyed watching and one of my sisters played. I was most into tennis in the 90s during the days of Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, and Michael Chang. I also appreciated John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors through highlights and replays at the time. While my dad's interest in tennis never waned, mine did when I moved away. However, I still kept up with the sport on the periphery and recognized and appreciated the dominance of guys like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. We watched the women too -- Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, and Serena and Venus Williams. I think tennis players may be the best athletes among all sports. This year (2020), my dad and I happened to be together for a good chunk of the US Open so we watched quite a bit together. I probably wouldn't have tuned in if he wasn't around. What a year for me to tune back in. This year's US Open was unique and stood out to me for three big reasons: 1. There were no fans. Like the WWE, the USTA followed the NBA's lead and set up virtual fans in the stands. Still, no sports league/organization has done virtual fans better than the NBA has to date, in my opinion. 2. Favorite and No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic, winner of 17 Grand Slam singles titles, got disqualified from the tournament for inadvertently hitting a line judge in the neck with a ball during his fourth-round match against Pablo Carreno Busta. Thiem became the first player in the US Open era, which began in 1968 (from 1881 to 1967, it was the US National Championships), to win after dropping the first two sets. The final score for Thiem was 2-6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (6). Thiem became the first player to win a major final in the US Open from two sets down since Pancho Gonzales in 1949. The trophy presentation was hard to watch from Zverev's perspective. I could tell the guy was really hurting and understandably so. On the women's side, Naomi Osaka won her second US Open title and third major singles title overall. Congratulations to Dominic and Naomi! read more

Came here for the 2021 US Open; RO 16; which was on a Monday afternoon/evening on labor day. We were section 118. The section has a great center view with a panoramic view of the entire court vs just the side. The view had no obstructions. We had a great view of the entire tennis match and good visuals. The entry and exit was quick especially during changeovers. Lots of options for food and drinks (Ben and Jerry's, prime burger, grey goose, etc) food was typical stadium quality and prices, but they were open late. Audio quality was not great, but out visual view was so good, we did not need to rely on the audio Parking was quick as we came early and there was plenty of space available Covid vaccine card and bag check were quick and efficient. Overall, great experience! Would recommend especially for our sections. read more

Another bucket list checked off. Short fused long weekend trip to watch some of the tennis greats. We were able to get last minute seats, not quite nose bleed, but only 10 rows short of them. Still able to see the tiny ant sized match players and they have them on the big screens. It was a toasty early September day, sun was fully out and it was hot in the stadium. We downed a lot of frozen cocktail drinks to keep us cooled down. Was able to get some air and protection from under the sun by their food court area. The complex is quite big, lots of activities to pass time between matches. We were able to watch and get to the lower bowl during the women's matches. read more
