The physical space of the stadium is convenient for subway riders on the 7 train, with an easy walk off the train into the stadium. Usually some games and free prizes in the walkway between the subway and stadium. Free promos and swag handouts in the stadium near various bars and food areas too. Sundays are extra fun days for kids who get to run bases on the field and take extra roles in the game. I sat in the nosebleed 523 section and still felt like I had a good view of the field without paying more for a prime ticket- plus plenty of space to spread out with shade as the sun set. That's a sign of a well-designed stadium. Retail prices on this seating area were around $35. An online 3rd party ticket was found for $10. There are many food & drink selections throughout the stands even for specialty diets like kosher, halal, gluten free, and vegan! Where else in the USA might you get edamame and dumplings at a ballpark?! Yes, food is as pricey here as it is in Manhattan. $16 for a 24oz beer or hefty serving of nachos with guac. They are trying to keep those hot dogs and peanuts under $10 but the price is covering the cost of employees picking up your peanut shells and discarded trays in seats and stands after the games. The pitching clock keeps the game moving along pretty well on a 3hr schedule. Being a Mets fan in 2023 means you get a 50/50 chance of a win and an emotional rollercoaster of a game when things suddenly take a turn, but it's always fun to be at the ballpark and have a night out with friends or family! read more

Not big into sports, but have been here for a couple concerts. Unfortunately, the sound quality isn't great - most recently, I was seated in the 300-level section, and it was sometimes hard to distinguish songs from one another. Not surprisingly, drinks were really expensive too - cocktails were almost $30, and depending on the beer, almost $20! The one plus is that it's close to the 7 so super accessible. Not my first choice, but if I'm really passionate about an artist, I would go again... but splurge for seats closer to the stage. read more

Love coming to the games but was a bit disappointed tonight. We purchased tickets in the Coca Cola Corner but they totally changed it. They took away all of the great photo op props, lounge area, and oversized games. It used to be so much fun! The twisted pretzel place in the Piazza Club was horrible! Got to the Game late considering we had just flown into Newark and had to drive to Flushing to get to the Stadium. It took awhile to get to the Stadium but we were fortunate to catch the last two innings of the game. Any time my travels lead me to NY and the Mets are playing, I'll be sure to catch a game considering just how nice this Stadium is compared to Yankee Stadium, in fact you can't compare them. Citi Field is a stadium surrounded by seats all the way around and the video screens provide a better baseball experience. Compared to Yankee Stadium which is a ballpark like setting since you have bleachers in the outfield that was a meager attempt to replicate the old stadium, which is poorly designed. Such a fun stadium and great food options available (including vegan food). Easily accessible by the subway. 10/10 recommend trying their new Championship Burger (Section 140) -- loaded with lobster bisque and lobster, and the bun was like a bread bowl. So good. It came to $31 with tax, which was worth it for the amount of lobster and in comparison to other stadium menu items. I've been to Citifield many times in the past for mets games. However, tonight I was here for a Green Day concert. What's great about citifield is that it's accessible by subway, LIRR, or car. Really enjoyed my first visit to Citi Field last night, despite the rain before the game. The home plate entrance is beautiful decorated with Mets memorabilia, with a couples of escalators and stairs that take you up to the main concourse. Tickets to games are pretty reasonable, especially if you're okay with the nosebleeds (ours were $24 each on a Fireworks Night). Concessions are overpriced ($7 for a hot dog), but that's to be expected at most sports venues these days. read more

A great stadium. On this first visit, I came for the Dead & Company show. We were seated in Sec. 427, Row 1, which provided a great view for the show. If attending a ball game, it's overlooking left field and not too far from 3rd base. For a game, I'd probably want to be a little closer to the 3rd baseline. For the concert, the view was great. The sound was good, we did get some echo from the drums bouncing sound around. There was quite a few food drink options in the place. For the concert, a lot of the drink kiosks were closed, resulting in longer than necessary lines for what was open. I'd definitely come back for a concert or a game. read more

Very convenient to take the 7 train. At one of the entrances, 2 lines merged into 1. Manual bag check was done. Had the MLB app, so tickets were scanned (no screenshots allowed). Elevators and escalators to get around but be prepared for some walking. Last week, we got free tickets in a 500s section- a little steep so not for everybody and more quiet unless there's a good hit or a feature on the jumbo screen. Got cold too so need to bundle up or bring a blanket. Great wide views of the city from that level. By the Coca Cola sign, I remember there was more activity bec there was a camera encouraging the crowd. Noticed that Field level is where a lot of food vendors are - from burgers/tenders with fries to BBQ food and lobster rolls - prices from around $17 up to $25-30. Better to walk around to see all options. Can eat and watch the game while standing at the high tables. But we didn't stay long so got dinner around Main St Flushing which is a subway stop away. read more

Had a great time at Citi Field yesterday for the Marlins vs Mets game. While I still call in Shea Stadium in my heart, I have to acknowledge the beautiful stadium that it currently is. They've done a phenomenal job, while keeping a few touches that native New Yorkers appreciate, such as the giant NY Apple that bobs up and down. Last nights come-from-behind victory was spectacular and the entire stadium was rocking! I forgot how much fun a NY Mets baseball actually is. Oh and before I forget, shoutout to all of the concession staff. Even single employee that I interacted with, from Mr Softee and Shake Shack to even the gift shop, were all incredibly friendly, funny and just well, real! Let's gooooo Mets!! read more

I grew up watching the Mets at Shea Stadium and was sad to see it close and be torn down as Citi Field was built in the parking lot next door. However, Shea was really never a great stadium, just nostalgic. I really like Citifield. The food selection is one of the best and the stadium is a work of art with the right mix of architecture combing a classic baseball stadium feel with a touch of modern. The clubs are great and fun to visit. The staff is well trained and pleasant. I could go on and on about all the things I love about this stadium except for the traffic. I would highly recommend taking the LIRR or 7 train but no matter how you get here I guarantee you'll enjoy your time. Let's go Mets! read more

Citi Field was one of my favorite places this summer. The Mets had a great season, I found the best dole whip location in the stadium, and Jacob's Pickles joined the Amazin' Mets Eats family. What more could a girl want? I have to say I miss the grilled cheese spiral / tomato soup combo from the 2021 season, but I do appreciate that Citi Field is always changing up the selection and keeping it fresh. No other ball park compares in food offerings. One change in 2022 that I am still not so sure about is the removal of the condiment carts. It was easier when they were out for all to use but I can see with COVID etc how that is not ideal. I always get sauerkraut with my hot dogs, and it's been hit or miss on if it's been fresh when I get the little to go cup from the register. I'd love if the souvenir beer cups were available at more of the draft vendors, and I'd love even more if Jacob's Pickles was upgraded to a non-club section so everyone can partake, and if they have more menu options as well. My bestie and I love coming to see games here! Every time we sat in a different section and we always have a great view! They have lots of NYC favorite restaurants here to try. I love the Arancini Bros Risotto Balls and Sweet Chick loaded waffle fries! The lobster roll stand is also a 10/10! The stadium feels newly renovated and they do a great job of keeping it clean. There are many bars and spots to sit a relax. The store is big and has a wide variety of items! The only downside is the price of food and drinks, but that is to be expected at this type of venue. (4.5/5) Great stadium! Wow moment when you first enter with the Jackie Robinson rotunda. The team store on the main level has so many options. Best grab and go meal I've had in any MLB stadium that I've been to - specifically the Pat LaFrieda's steak sandwich. I liked the idea of the theming of the egg rolls over in center field, I just didn't get one bc I wasn't into that day's flavor. The center field kids area was fun too. Ushers, people working at concessions and info stations all were super friendly and helpful even though it was literally over 100 degrees, so I'm sure nobody actually wanted to be there that day. In general the Mets do a kids club if you register, birthday certificates and first game certificates. Overall great experience at the park. The only negative is that the bathrooms are in need of an overhaul. They're a little rough. read more

Finally adding my review after attending several Mets games here. First off the stadium exterior design looks very nice as it mimics Ebbets field the food although expensive is some of the best in the MLB although the water bottles and beer are ridiculously priced at $10.99 respectively and $16 or more for most beers. Now what needs work is the security lines can get quite long and there's a few things Citifield needs to copy from Citizens bank park that would make it more modern and convenient for guests. First citizens bank has go ahead entry using AI and automated systems to make entering the ballpark seamless, no need for taking things out of your pocket or having bags checked, Also and this is BIG having a bracelet so employees know your allowed to be in a certain section or something of that nature instead of having to CONSTANTLY show your phone every time for re-entry to your specified section. Also maybe train your employees to be nicer and more accommodating even as a Mets fan going to an away game at citizens bank park the employees were incredibly kind and service was excellent . So in short food is still good if overpriced and same with drinks, but the place need several modern improvements made to security and the overall guest experience and convenience. read more

I hadn't been to this stadium in years. Ticket collection and security were smooth and efficient. Their official rules state that they do not allow backpacks of any kind and other bags can be no larger than 16x16x8 inches, However, a few people in our group were able to take in their backpacks by asking the security team nicely and I saw other guests throughout the stadium with backpacks too. We had an open bar package at Papa's. The bartender offered great, quick service. They readily gave out tap water and ice so you didn't have to pay the steep prices for bottled, which was much appreciated. Giving three stars because of my experience with concessions. They don't have many vegetarian options. I found a restaurant that served mozzarella sticks. While the burgers and sandwiches had reasonably priced combos that came with fries, the mozzarella sticks had no combo and were pretty expensive for only four sticks. All of that I could live with, but the cashier also knowingly overcharged me without explanation and refused to correct the situation even though she was in the wrong. One of her colleagues was nice enough to swap out my food for fresh, hot replacements since the food got cold while I was discussing the issue with the original cashier. That was amazing service but otherwise, it was a pretty frustrating situation. Still a fun, family friendly activity but it will probably be a few more years before I'm back. read more

Citi Field is the absolute BEST stadium here in NY. The food, space, activities, entertainment, it's just so AMAZIN'! I had season tickets pre-covid and I've only been to a handful of games since. I appreciate Citi Field so much more after covid and also going to Yankee Stadium. I've always been a die hard Mets fan and nothing compares to everything Citi field offers. The t-shirt toss, games in between innings, acknowledging the fans, the players throwing balls to the stands, it's HOME. There are so many food options (and not just typical chicken fingers). You can get tacos, nachos, rice balls, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, lobster rolls and more! There are dessert options like mister softee, do, wowfuls and more. The parking lot and surrounding space is perfect for tailgating. I've always loved Citi Field. I have so many memories here from throwing birthdays and just celebrating life! Full disclosure, I'm a Yankees fan. However, my wife and I love all things baseball and our goal is to visit all of the ballparks. Citi Field was our 15th park and it's honestly a great ballpark. Getting here was super easy and the subway brings you right outside the park. We came for a Mets-Yankees game and it was a really fun atmosphere, lots of heckling, but no fights and just a good, fun rivalry. Drinks were great and they have lots of options, which was a good thing since we had a rain delay and had time to kill. The real standout here was the food and this was some of the best ballpark food we've experienced. My wife loved her lobster roll and I absolutely loved my porchetta sandwich. Ours views of the game were also great and it's a very nice ballpark overall! read more

For a leagues cup game. There was a young man cheering for his team. A couple of people and rows behind threw a beer/can at him. Security didnt step in. No one spoke up. Kids watched and laugh. My previous experiences with Citi Field involved waiting on a cold rainy night for an inefficiently run COVID vaccine line, my 2nd visit was better run.. but I never experienced a game or event until recently. I am not a sports fan, but I must say that Citi Field is impressive for sure - the way it is designed allows for great site lines from nearly every inch of the stadium. Food and drink options galore - unfortunately with ball park prices, but it seems the rest of the restaurant/food world is now charging ball park prices so you may not mind. I especially like that there are drink holders behind the seats and so many tables to eat your food instead of balancing it on your knees at your seat. There are large screens and info all around - a lot of thought went into the design making for a world class experience when you are at a game. The easy access from the 7 and LIRR makes it the way to go, but there is plenty of high priced parking if you insist on driving. I did an informal survey of the food to get - I hear great things about the nachos, the steak sandwich from Pat LaFrieda and some must simply get the ice cream in the mini Mets helmet. I personally enjoyed a great sausage and pepper hero. I would say avoid the premade shakes from Shake Shack - they sit for a while and separate so you will probably be disappointed. Even if you are not a sports fan I'd encourage you to come to stadium if you have an opportunity - you'll probably have a better time then you thought you would. I know I did. read more

Home of the Mets. This is a relatively modern baseball stadium. I visited as part of my kids' little league night, where all kids get free tickets. The view from the 5th floor is breathtaking, as you have a birds eye view, however, walking around the park, I noticed that the 1st floor view feels much closer to the action. The food is standard stadium fare (I.e. hot dogs, burgers, etc). The third floor seems to have more upscale food as part of the more exclusive lounges and clubs (I will need to visit those in a future visit). read more

As a diehard Yankees fan it pains me to give an honest review of Citi Field. But the truth is that it is a beautiful ballpark. The parking lot is easy to access off the highway, easy to get in and out of, and handicapped parking is all conveniently located to both entrance and exits. Tick another MLB Ballpark off my bucket list! I recently decided to see how many of these Ballparks I can visit around the country. I'm still early in the going, so this is Ballpark #6. The Yankees were away the week I went, so I decided to head back out to Queens to see a Mets game! (+) Been open for roughly 15 years, but still a beautiful facility! There was a ton of food and drink options available! Plus, you have to check out the Mets Team Store to get some awesome souvenirs! (+) Seats were comfortably padded and offered up some great, unobstructed views! The Mets won a fun game that had a couple of lead changes. :) (+) This game was played on Sunday afternoon after being rained out the day before. That Saturday game was supposed to be Francisco Lindor Bobblehead Day. With a crowd of roughly 40,000 fans and only 15,000 bobbleheads, I wasn't necessarily counting on getting one. I was pleasantly surprised to grab one just as they were running out! Sweet! It's already on display in my "Mike-Cave"! :) (+) Mr. Met lol (+) The game started off slow, but then the scoring picked up and there were a couple of lead changes! It was fun to see the Big Apple come up for the Home Runs lol After the dust settled the crowd was pumped and happy and the Mets emerged victorious over the Cleveland Guardians, 5-4. (-) The prices on the food and drink gave me some sticker shock. I mean, it IS an MLB game and we are in NYC but.....damn. One tall can ended up costing me $19 with tip. Needless to say, that was the only one I had! (I posted a couple of price lists for reference) (-) I wonder how often they clean or wipe down those seats. I wore cargo style shorts to the game and ended up with a small rash on the backside of one of my knees from using it to push the seat down over the course of the game. Not. Cool. First time back since the pandemic and some enhancements and additions made since... 2022 Tom Seaver statue outside Citi Field to the right of the home run apple as you come from the parking lot or train station. Lines now have "Enter" signs in orange so guest know where to form a line, but pay attention as some are for Mets Entry Express, where they use facial ticketing for touchless entry. Regular lines are fine for me, season ticket holders have their own lines to enter. Starting lineup as on enters the rotunda and up the escalator is now digitalized, Designated driver program - now uses bar code to scan and enter info via your smart phones or the MLB ballpark app vs waiting on the long line to fill out the log with your details - still need your drivers license info and show the confirmation for a free fountain drink voucher. Drink responsibly! Citi Field has the best chicken tender and fries of all the ball parks I have been to plus having honey mustard sauce! Kudos! Porsche Lounge which was closed in 2019 is now Piazza 31 Club, looks just like Caesars Lounge. Great to have access to the lounges depending on where your tickets are located. Had tickets with access to Piazza 31 Club, Caesar's and Jim Beam Clubs. Always fun to check out the clubs, food and views. Best to go early as the lines and wait does get long as it gets into the game...something that can be improved. There are some new eateries and food choices to choose from. Dole Whip has more flavors...recommend the swirl flavor. Don't forget the museum and the Mets store. Cowbell Man - yes, we need more cowbell! He makes his way around the stadium. Please note: Citifield is cashless since the pandemic...so make sure you have a credit/debit card...Citi card is the preferred card and you get 10% on food purchases, where noted. If you stay til the end of the game, the Super Express 7 train back to Manhattan is just a couple of stops. Parking is now up to $30 and price for food has gone up as well. But one cans still bring in a factory sealed bottle of water. No backpacks allowed. What's not back: - Spin & Win Wheel...I do hope the bring that back. - Citi Perks - nothing being offered at the desk when I was here for the game. - Vendors selling peanuts, popcorn, beverages up and down the aisles as Citi Field is cashless.
