Pros: Customer service is AMAZING (everyone was SUPER friendly, even though I was in my Phillies gear); great food; a few nice touches to make it feel distinctly like New York Cons: Parking was EXPENSIVE ($19). Went to a Mets game tonight. Woohoo. There's a shake shack and Nathans, and lots of other goodies. But the line at Shake Shack is nearly an hour long and tonight all the credit card machines were down so it was cash only. The service people can be quiet rude too. Maybe I am biased because I am a Mets fan and I expect more than just a Jackie Robinson rotunda (he never even played for the Mets!) and a Shake Shack to be the best parts of the stadium. Its better than Shea, that's for sure. read more

I am a Yankee fan, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to be sportsmanlike and root for the other home team when it's appropriate-- let the debate begin, I brought my Kevlar jacket-- but that does not change the fact that these suites are of amazing value when compared to what you would pay at the best stadium in the Bronx/World. All rivalries aside, the new CITI Field is absolutely gorgeous, and the Sterling Level Suites make no exception. The service staff is wonderful. When you aren't enjoying the 3 flat-screen TVs, dedicated bartender/server at your private premium open bar and/or delicious food buffet (Shake Shack Burgers) in the comfort of your own plushy suite with private bathroom, you are fist-bumping with Curtis Granderson at your seats that are either right behind home plate or behind the on-deck batter's area. Did I mention you have your own private bathroom? No longer having to head home early "because a client needs me, dear, stop asking." This is a great place to bring your clients for a unique experience, or for your family for when you really need to win points for being at the office a little too much. Great experience. read more

Of the few ball parks I have vistied, this has to be the best. I've sat in Caesars Box, Caesars Gold, almost every section in Pepsi porch, 3rd Baseline Gold, 1st Base Line Silver, Left Field Reserve, Right Field Reserve, and sat down at promenade club behind Promenade Gold, and every place I've been has a great view. A plethera of great food including the new addition of the Jerk Chicken Po Boys from Randolph, one of the greatest BBQ places in the country (Blue Smoke) has a shack here , the tradional and delicious presses cuban sandwiches at Lation Corner, and the availability of Linenkuegel in a can, there is no better choices for food and drink I've ever come across in any sporting arena. read more

Great ballpark! Prices for food are reasonable. The park itself has excellent views and every seat is great. It is well-kept and very clean. Drink prices are also about average with what you would pay out any other ballpark. I highly suggest if you live in the area especially if you were a Mets fan you make it a point to get out of this field. read more

I was at the Lady Gaga concert last night, I am disable and use a wheel chair. I had a poor experience as a disable person. First my partner and I had to walk 3/4 of the way around the outside of the stadium, after showing our tickets. At most venues I receive personal service and escorted to my seat. It was my first time at Citi Field and we were on our own to find the elevator and our seats. They kept pointing their finger and saying " go over there". Customer service was terrible. They have very disappointing disability services. read more

Citi Field is simply beautiful! I would give the ballpark 5 stars BUT: 1. They need to retrain their ushers and security. They all seemed slightly stoned (better than angry?) and spacey. One of the Ushers told us to climb over three rows of seats to get to ours... when we could have (and did) just go to the end of the row and walk down the aisle. 2. The seats are still the same size as the old ballparks. NOT a problem for my 5' 7" 108 frame, but a huge problem for everyone sitting next to me- which then becomes my problem. I know they need to jam as many seats in as possible... but it still stinks to have an elbow in your boob the whole game. The Pros: Clean, beautiful, open space, tons of bathrooms, great beer selection (cheaper = smaller?), great food choices (still the classics), great sight lines, respectful of baseballs history... In the future the husband and I plan on just buying a cheap seat ticket and walk around the whole time. I always watch baseball/football standing up at home- so why not at the ballpark, too! read more

Good Old Mets Well this place is definitely an upgrade from Shea Stadium, which was a dump. lets face it. The Front facade is really great and a throw back to the dodgers old stadium. A little to much on the Dodgers history and def not enough about the Mets and there history. Now i am not a Mets man, but I would love to see some statues and things honoring the 69 and 86 Mets teams....one would think that they would have this stuff but after all, we talking about the Mets. When you go check out the taco stand out in center and blue smoke BBQ, both places are amazing. IF your sitting anywhere in the outfield, expect to miss some of the game action. The upper decks are very close to the field, but stacked almost directly on top of the lower decks causing problems with sight lines. Its kind of a throwback to older ballparks. Even the Pepsi Porch sight lines block out some right field views. Still a great all around ballpark, awesome food. They added TV monitors in right field and in the left field upper deck half way through the first season so now you can see whats going on more...which was great. read more

There's no way I could give the home stadium of my beloved Mets lower than 5 stars. Luckily, Citi Field earns a 5 star review all on it's own. I'll take you through a typical journey. Parking, super easy. Pay in the lot or go outside the stadium, either way it's simple and a snap to get back on the highway to go home. Once you get inside, yes you enter the Jackie Robinson Rotunda. Not to say it isn't an impressive sight, the man was a pioneer and this giant hall does justice. But, he wasn't a Met. The Mets Hall of Fame/Team Store are down here, and the Hall of Fame is really cool. It was new to me on my most recent trip. Be sure to check it out if you're a fan. It's high tech and covers the history well. Now you're at field level, time to find the hot spots. I personally head straight back towards Big Apple Brews. $8 for a beer yes is a lot. But when you're at a baseball game $8 isn't bad considering some bars it's $6. Don't get a Budweiser, get one of the better beers they have. Personally I go for a Landshark. If you're eating back here, Blue Smoke is excellent and never has a line longer than a 5-10 minute wait. The reason, Shake Shack has two huge lines. I'll review Shake Shack on it's own, but for now we'll cover the fact that the food is excellentttttt there. Now, here's my favorite part. The whole field level is a giant circle, and no matter where you are you can see the game. With the Marlins stadium in Miami having the "Fish Tank" section, basically a $12 ticket that's in right field and can put you in the first row off the outfield, I am most likely going to get tickets on field level and sit or get tickets all the way up top and stand and watch the game on the field level. I'm not spending $30 for a ticket for the 4th row from top when I've spent $50 and sat 8 rows off the field (at US Cellular in Chicago) But I'm not here to discuss the ticket prices or quality of the team, both lousy fyi, but the stadium itself. It's a top five ballpark and not just because I'm a homer. Yeah, it can be expensive. But it's a baseball stadium in New York, of course things are going to be a little expensive. But for what you're getting, it's not bad at all. Lastly, in left field on 100 level go to the Bud Light stand that has the beers pour from the bottom of the cup. It's an awesome sight, and you'll understand exactly what I'm saying when you check it out. read more

I couldn't care less about the Mets, but if you want a cheap day at a great ballpark you should check out Citi Field. I'm a born and raised Yankees fan, but I tend to go to several Mets games in a season because I live in Queens and it's close, but also because it is much cheaper. For a $15 ticket, you can get in and watch the game from the lower concourse. I never go to my seats once I'm through the gate because I prefer to watch from the bridge in the outfield or even behind home plate. There's plenty of standing room with cup holders to hold your frosty brew, so there's no reason to ever have to go to that nosebleed seat that got you through the gate. And speaking of food, there are a ton of great options here. For the price of the cheapest Yankees ticket, I can get into the game, and get a beer and a brat. There are a huge number of beers available at the beer stand in the outfield and a full Shake Shack if the mood strikes you. Bacon on a stick, lobster nachos, grilled cheese with bacon...more options than I can list. So if you want to enjoy a sunny day outside at the ballpark and give yourself an excuse to eat whatever you want, get a cheap seat and just walk the concourse to negate some of those calories. Then enjoy the best deal for pro sports in town. (All that said...go Yankees! And no matter how fun and cheap Citi Field can be, it doesn't hold a candle to going to see a game in a real ballpark like Yankee Stadium. That's why they can charge so much more!) read more

I've been going to plenty of Met games since Citi Field opened and really can say it's been a great experience every time. The food is great, tons of parking, beer menu is pretty good and of course Shake Shack. You can basically go anywhere in the stadium once you're in. The lower deck lets you do a complete walk around of the stadium. Unlike Yankee stadium that likes to keep you in your section. The staff is always nice and helpful, plus it's not a rip off to go. Very beautiful stadium! It's a lot better than most of the stadiums I've been to. I've sat in a variety of sections here. All of them have a pretty good view. The tickets are usually responsibly priced. The food is cheaper than at other stadiums, and they have a lot of great options, such as Bash Burger or Blue Smoke. Their promotions are great, especially Free T-Shirt Fridays. The staff has always been nice and helpful. The audience is typically very energetic and not rowdy or rude in any way. It is very family-friendly. The stadium is spacious and ideal for not only baseball games but other events. I look forward to going to more Mets games and events here. read more

We came to a weekend music festival here and had a great time, although there were a couple of drawbacks -- first of all, traffic getting into/out of Citi Field was ridiculous as one might expect, but it was hard to even get an Uber. We ended up getting lucky with an Uber home the second night (after a long wait), but the first night we literally just walked back to the hotel via the sidewalk along the water and foot bridge. When we arrived to Citi Field both days, it was a little annoying how we had to walk literally all the way around the arena to the specific entrance we were told to go into (you couldn't just go into any entrance, which was frustrating) and the lines to get in were super long. One plus is that I felt security did a good job, so I felt safe here. Once inside the stadium, there was just an okay selection of food and drink. There was the stuff you'd expect at any stadium like hot dogs and burgers and ice cream, but there weren't as many of the specialty foods that some other stadiums/arenas offer. We were also disappointed to find that our seats were for BEHIND the stage so we could not see the stage AND they did not even have speakers in our direction, so we couldn't even HEAR the concert! I understand there are obstructed seats at big concerts, but our tickets did not indicate at all that our view would be obstructed. Furthermore, you expect to see the concert on the big screen if you have nosebleed seats, yet they never turned on the huge screen! That just was idiotic, if you ask me, and I don't know whether Live Nation is entirely to blame for that or if Citi Field is in part as well. So we did what any high-paying customer would do and moved the heck out of those seats and ended up standing in a way better section where we had great views and the sound was awesome too! We even made it down onto the actual field one night where we were right in front of the stage, and it was amazing!! read more

I have to tell you, this was one of the most fun sporting events I've ever been to. We got cheap $20 outfield tickets and really enjoyed the game and overall atmosphere. The outfield area has some great concession items, including a Shake Shack (yum!). They have some fun interactive areas including carnival games, photo ops, and even an in-stadium museum. Best part? The 7 train drops you off right at the entrance! Definitely check out a game here! read more

This is hands down the best major league baseball stadium in the country. Easy access via 7 train and LIRR, awesome sight lines, great amenities, family friendly, etc., etc. My recommendation is to buy a $12 right field seat and instead walk around the upper/lower levels and check out an inning from various spots in the stadium. Depending on who the Mets are playing, you can even sit in the Pepsi Porch and get some sun without anyone checking your ticket stub. As everyone mentioned, the food is top notch. Even if you stand in an hour long line for Shake Shack, there is a huge video screen showing the game. I'm not a huge Shake Shake fan, but Danny Meyer's other offerings are swell (Blue Smoke, Box Frites, El Verano Taqueria). read more

I have to say I was pretty disappointed with my trip to Citi Field. I know New York is going to be expensive in general, but this place was pretty ridiculous. To start, the parking attendants had hand-held credit card machines. I think if there's any one thing that says you are charging too much for parking, it's probably taking credit cards. It's been over a year since I was there, but I want to say it was $28 dollars to park in the lot right by the stadium. Ouch. Once you get to the stadium, you see the best part. The entry way is nothing short of magnificent. There are thing to see, places to shop, and it's incredibly well maintained. You take the escalators up to field level and into the rest of the ballpark. Unfortunately, it's all kind of downhill from there. The field itself is pretty and well-maintained, but it's horribly designed. There are way too many curves and hitches in the fence that actually mess with sight lines from the stands. We got there a half hour before the game starts, which is pretty customary for us. We like to find our seats, check out the place, and get our food before the game starts so we can actually sit and watch the game once it has begun. Citi Field isn't really conducive to that. I found the place close to our seats that had my standard fare- hot dog, sausage, french fries... and was close to a place that my wife could get pizza. When I finally found one open, I put in an order about 15 minutes before the game started and the guy told me it was going to be a few minutes because he had to get the grill going, etc. I didn't actually get my food until a few minutes after the game started. I wasn't even remotely close to the only person there, I don't understand why they don't fire up the grills well before the game starts. I spent my usual 25-30 dollar a ticket and at Citi Field this bought you the 400 level seats over the outfield. Horrendous value for the money, especially because of the sight line issues with the crazy right field fence. They also followed suit of Nationals park and alligned the stadium so you get literally no view of New York. One of the most famous skylines in the world and you don't even get to see it in the distance from this stadium. This is a stadium I am glad I got to see, but I won't be making the drive back to New York to rush to see this ballpark again anytime soon. read more

Citi field is impeccable and I usually have a wonderful time going there; however, my issue stems with customer service in relation to accessibility. My boyfriend uses a wheelchair. We were lucky enough to see our favorite team play in playoff games leading up to the World Series this year. We scored the pair off of a friend. Upon arriving at the stadium, we went to try to change our tickets to accessible seating. They tried to charge us $200 more simply because my boyfriend uses a chair! The manager rep at guest relations must have spawned from Satan himself. As he grew louder so did we. It was horrible. Employees not associated with guest relations actually apologized on his behalf. He honestly ruined what was supposed to be a fun night. We had already paid $500. Learn to carter to loyal fans' needs! Generally everything is wonderful, but this left a horrible taste in my mouth. Also there's a HUGE issue with neither the subway nor LIRR being accessible. Get it together. It's 2016! read more

Compared to Shea Stadium, Citi Field is a strange stadium. It fits about 12,000 less fans than the old Shea Stadium, and it has weird quirks like some obstructed seats and bizarre dimensions in the outfield. There is very little to remind you it is a Mets ballpark, not a lot of orange and blue. It has some charm, but with less seats, more expensive tickets, and a few different clubs, some in weird locations and a few large outdoor eating areas, it is more weird than anything. The main club at field level behind the plate is very nice as you can sit indoors in a heated, air conditioned area with leather chairs and an actual restaurant. The Shake Shack area with picnic tables and a lot of seats all the way past center field is a strange spot for that, but i guess there is a lot of fans now who are not in their seats. They are either watching on TV from a private club behind glass or walking around the grounds. It seemed like at Shea Stadium, everyone was basically in their seats watching the ACTUAL GAME. There is a private club way out in left field by the foul pole which is behind glass, which is a very odd place for it. Your ticket price and location decides what club you have access to, unlike Shea which was all one and the same. Security has been amped up, and not sure why, a lot of security and very little unruly fans, unlike at Shea. Again, most real die-hard fans have been priced out. The games at Citi Field are much quieter, and I went to a NLCS game in 2015 and even that was deathly quiet. Definitely has lost the charm that Shea Stadium had, that is the one glaring problem. Way more beer and food options but not a lot reminding you you are at a NEW YORK METS GAME, with other REAL FANS, which is a problem with all the new stadiums and arenas. read more

I'm a huge Met's fan and grew up going to Shea Stadium and I was actually at the first game played at Citifield, I have visited several times since. However with that being said I'm not impressed with anything at this Stadium and for the obvious reasons. The ticket prices are way over priced and having went on a Thursday afternoon I would think that the sales and marketing department would lower the prices for weekday games to compensate for lower attendance and especially since the NY Mets are not doing well in the standings. The parking on site is $25.00 which is quite expensive and your herded like cattle wherever they want you to park. The food and drink prices are out of control. We were celebrating a birthday and we tried to eat at any of the onsite restaurants but every single one was sold out, or you need a certain ticket level to get inside (which really means you need to spend even more money on your already expensive tickets to even step foot inside the restaurant and then pay an astronomical amount of money to eat that food) and the lounges had no where to sit since all the tables were taken or even a place to put the food you just purchased. Finally we gave up with wrong information and searching for places to eat and just decided to buy a few hot dogs and watch the game at our over priced seats. We had to wait on line for 30 minutes to pay $60.00 on 2 Hamburgers, 1 Hot dog, 2 orders of French Fries and 3 Sodas. Really out of control !! The staff as a whole was really not impressive, you would think after spending so much money on tickets, parking and food you would be treated with courtesy and respect. I wonder if they are trained to say no before even considering your question ?? Anyone of the staff I asked had a different or wrong answer and I actually went back to a few to advise respectively to them they are giving the wrong information. The bathrooms were filthy, none of the soap dispensers worked and navigating the stadium is no easy chore. I also understand security is a top priority during these dangerous times but while traveling throughout the stadium I must have been asked for my tickets 8-10 times throughout the day. That will be my final visit for awhile..... What a shame.... Enough said !!! read more

This has got to be one of the best baseball stadiums in America. The Mets are horrible, but Citi Field is top notch. The bathrooms are always perfectly clean, there's a wide variety of food, snacks, desserts and drinks (yes it's a little expensive but concessions are expensive at all stadiums and arenas), majority of the seats are great (with the exception of the 500's in left field... you lose a lot), and there's a ton of indoor club areas. If you get the chance to sit in the Hyundai Club or Delta Sky club... do it!!! Parking at Citi Field for baseball is $25 per car for 2018, although it might be more for other events like concerts. The only thing I can say is I wish the WiFi actually worked. read more

I love baseball so I enjoy checking out new stadiums when I have a chance. I was in NY so I bought some cheap seats and headed over to Citi Field. The stadium is ok...I don't think it's anything special. Unfortunately, they need to compete with other amazing baseball fields like PNC and ATT (really touch standards). Getting their is convenient, the MTA stops right there and after the game there are express lines that make minimal stops back to Manhattan. read more

I love, love, LOVE Citi Field. Everytime I go, I have a great time, regardless of whether the Mets win or lose. The stadium is super fan friendly. Even seats in the 500 level are great, and if you're not pleased your view, or just need a change of pace, you can take a walk down to the 100 level and watch from the bridge in the outfield. If you don't want to watch the game at all, you can certainly enjoy the food. Blue Smoke and Shake Shack are there, but I've found other gems in the less famous options as well. The fried flounder sandwich at Catch of the Day is fresh, crispy, and delicious, served on a potato roll with tarter sauce. My current favorite item, though, is pastrachos. Found at Pastrami on Rye, pastrachos is a pastrami Reuben in nacho form- pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese sauce, 1000 island dressing, and a smattering of scallions over tortilla chips. Amazing. My boyfriend says, "It's like Zingerman's nachos." If you know anyone from Ann Arbor, MI, you know this is high praise. He claims he'll never go to a Mets game without pastrachos again! So grab yourself come cheap tickets, drag yourself out to Citi Field (easily accessible by the subway 7 train or LIRR), and get some pastrachos, fried fish sandwiches, BBQ, and frozen custard while watching (or not watching) the Mets play! read more

It's perfectly located next to the subway (that's the way I arrived and left the stadium) it has great seating areas and best of all if the stadium isn't as full (maybe 1/3 of the stadium capacity), the people who are in the mezzanine and upper level can go to the lower levels!!
