My daughter had received a $40 gift card for her birthday and was so excited to pick out a few special items. Unfortunately, when we got to the register, the gift card wouldn't work. After trying multiple registers and different solutions, it still couldn't be redeemed. My daughter was heartbroken because she thought she would have to leave without the birthday gifts she had carefully chosen. The manager saw how disappointed she was and, without hesitation, paid for every single item herself out of her own pocket and simply handed them to my daughter. We were completely speechless. In a world where exceptional customer service can be hard to find, her compassion, generosity, and genuine kindness stood out in the most beautiful way. I politely said "excuse me" before passing through, and the employee immediately seemed upset and told me "what's your problem, just go around" because she was working. I responded that we were shopping, and the interaction escalated from there. What bothered me most was being called "entitled" in front of my child. The situation became uncomfortable enough that we left the store without purchasing anything, and my daughter was very disappointed. I later found out the employee involved was the store manager, named DAL which honestly made the experience even more disappointing. I understand retail can be stressful, but professionalism and basic respect toward customers should still matter.

On this visit for the holiday season they had some sort of Charlie Brown Peanuts Theme going on with many Peanuts gift items all over the store. I bought a new cutting board that looked great and seemed like a good price. When I got home I noticed that it had a crack in it that I didn't notice in the store so I had to return it. On the weekend this place was PACKED TO THE GILLS. It would have been an hour wait or more to return it so I left and returned during the week and it was more normal with a reasonable wait. Bonus tip... by the registers they have Dillard's water (large bottles) for $.75 each. You could justify a trip here just for those cheap prices alone. Haha!
