A stranger because you're new to this area? Not only a doctor but a dentist doctor who's sure to cause pain ? AAUUGGHH! Go visit Dr. David Bainer, say friends ! So very reluctantly, I follow their advice ! I shuffle half-heartedly up to the front door of his office, not at all looking forward to what lies beyond. But then, I'm pleasantly surprised by the very welcoming receptionist, Lina. OK, I feel better already! Then comes Medical Assistant, "Bailey" who instantly charms and engages me about Dr. Bainer and what lies ahead today as she escorts me into the inner chamber. Clearly, Bailey loves her job and respects Dr. Bainer, settling most of my apprehensions. Next up is Dr. Bainer himself, and OMG, I was totally impressed by him, first as a gentleman, second as a knowledgeable and charming dentist who gave me the best medical experience I've encountered in 80 years of visiting doctors ! For me t'was a "red letter day!" Most notable about Dr. Bainer was his kindness and compassion, as exceptional as his obvious drive to deliver the highest possible standard of patient care. I left with a confidence that he would do his very best hereafter to help me and soon my wife, who dreads dentists with a passion! T'would be easy for critics to claim I'm over the top with praise here, but I exaggerate not! Everybody I met on the team was exceptional. Bottom line, Dr. Bainer will be our dentist for the remainder of our lives. Thank you ever so much Dr. Bainer, Bailey, Lina and other team members for such an experience. And may God richly bless YOU all as you press on giving your patients such superlative dental care! Yours sincerely, Bruce and Carole Page

Germaine & the entire front and back office are equally amazing. I felt heard & supported. I felt understood and listened to. I felt empathy; I felt like I was having a genuine human interaction, which is getting rare these days. Absolutely everyone there was friendly AND professional! They completely humored me, put up with my bad jokes and nervous babbling & laughter; answered my questions and listened to my concerns. Germaine was the best! Super funny guy himself! I hate to say it, but he was my favorite. though everybody there was awesome. And let me tell you, Dr. Soelberg has a magic touch! I had 13 teeth extracted, 3 alveoplasty's with 3 sutures. And that was my second visit. I had an extraction a month before this and had zero pain afterwards. Then, I literally had almost zero pain at all 13 extraction sites. Now my jaw is another story. But that is normal & I'm grateful for the i uprofen. I'm not sure if it IS normal to have almost zero pain at the extraction sites, but I did not. I'm not even sure how that's possible. They truly have a magic touch. The facility is gorgeous, super clean, warm and inviting. I really just can't emphasize adequately how absolutely awesome Dr Soelberg & the staff are. They made an absolutely terrifying, life changing procedure, bearable. I am forever grateful and I would recommend them 100%! Big thanks to the entire staff at NCOFS!

However Dr Kerbs has proven that just because a dentist is legally allowed to provide orthodontics, it doesn't mean they should. Dr Kerbs made me a ridiculously thick night guard and I kept returning to have him grind it down more because my teeth were hitting. They didn't give me eye protection while grinding and a fleck of plastic scratched my eye and I had to go to an optometrist. Dr Kerbs also gave me Invisalign, but after I finally left his office for good I had to go to a real orthodontist and get another round of Invisalign to fix my teeth that were hitting. While in Dr Kerbs' care I suddenly had significant gum recession in those teeth that were hitting from their Invisalign and/or thick night guard. Here it is 3 years later after $3,000 for the additional Invisalign from a real orthodontist and $7,000 for a gum graft from a real periodontist to cover my exposed roots on those 4 teeth. But that's not all. They gave my kid a Vivos night guard to "expand her palate" and didn't properly check in with her for a full year. If they did, they would have realized the device had created a posterior open bite!!! How was my kid even chewing food?! This was my wake-up moment. We immediately stopped using Dr Kerbs and I took my child to real orthodontists for consults. All of the orthodontists told us to throw away the Vivos, and that she had no adult teeth so it was way too early to start any sort of Ortho treatment. Another expensive mistake. I learned a lot during this process, I just wish I had gone to an actual orthodontist in the first place. I guess I should be thankful I didn't try to do any gum grafting with him because he can sell you that too.

My dad had recently tragically passed away last year and my old dentures had expired. I lost a whole year of my life, and I am left with NOTHING! My teeth have been altered and damaged from this mess. I feel completely let down. He is not very understanding when it comes to pain and you can end up hurt in the process. I hope this review can spare someone from this yearlong torment, physical and mental anguish I endured here. The problem was never that we refused to contact insurance ourselves. The issue was the office's unwillingness to help clarify obvious discrepancies or assist in resolving confusing charges related to treatments THEY recommended. When I visited the office, I asked reasonable questions about inconsistent insurance payments, unclear billing, and financial charges added during the insurance processing period. For example, insurance paid very different amounts for exactly the same treatment. The office simply printed out the insurance payment details and even agreed that it "didn't make much sense." However, when I asked if they could help double-check with insurance, I was repeatedly told that it was "my responsibility" to deal with insurance. Simply telling patients to call their insurance company is not the same as providing good customer service or billing transparency. What made the experience especially frustrating was the dismissive attitude throughout the conversation. In particular, when I pointed out that financial charges were being added before insurance had even completed processing the claims, I explained that the insurance payment timeline is between the office and the insurance company, and patients should only be responsible for the unpaid portion after insurance processing -- not finance charges on the full amount during that process. The response I received was essentially: "Well, it's your insurance. They paid us late, so you are responsible." I have honestly never experienced this type of billing practice anywhere else. Overall, this office felt far more focused on collecting money than caring for patients. This was reflected in the unclear, non-itemized invoices we received. If I had not gone into the office personally and asked for printed details, I would never have understood how these so-called "financial charges" were being calculated. Please carefully review your invoices if you visit this office. I truly hope this feedback encourages them to improve their billing transparency and customer service.

While I initially wrote a glowing review for this practice, and some things still hold true - like…read morethe competency of the actual dentists and the integrity of one hygienist in particular (for reasons I will explain shortly), unfortunately there was more than one issue with an unbelievably rude receptionist/admin named Leticia that I simply can no longer look past. While I was still a patient and getting my teeth cleaned, I could literally her her ridiculing a question that I had asked another front staff member. When I say ridiculing I mean just that - she laughed out loud and acted as though it was an utterly idiotic thing to ask. When in truth, it was a pretty basic question about my insurance coverage for part of a complex and costly care plan. It rubbed me the wrong way and I did let it be known to higher-ups, but I chose not to update my YELP review at that time. I then had an unfortunate experience with a seasoned hygienist who wound up breaking a tool while working along my gum line. I give her credit for admitting it and insisting that we immediately get x-rays - to see where it lodged, since she feared I could choke on it later, or it could eventually come out of my nose while sleeping. Mind you, I'm a bit phobic about dentists to begin with, and for very good reasons. As a child, a dentist attempted to fill cavities in my mouth without numbing me at all. AND tragically, I had an Aunt with severe asthma who passed away after slipping into unconsciousness and not breathing - as a result of being too heavily sedated by a dentist. So to be told that a broken off and presumably sharp edged metal object was now floating around in my body looking for an exit was not only disconcerting - it was TERRIFYING! But I tried my best to keep my cool and not freak out. Had the hygienist not shown that level of integrity, it would have been a whole different story. Still, the situation would surely cause some to want to sue without a second thought. That's when things started to go south. Even though I had let the incident go, a sudden fear of being sued and subsequent resentment for the possibility surfaced. For instance, after EVERY single appointment I was asked to evaluate the visit. That felt like some type of preemptive defense tactic to prove I was happy with the care provided. Then, other dental hygienists started to seemingly act defensive on their colleague's behalf - by openly criticizing my complicated gum condition. Which had resulted from an auto-immune inflammation response to a prior laser surgery. The thing is, I had never registered a complaint about the tool broken off along my gum line incident, yet they were all acting defensive about it. I had actually long since let it go. The single time I had complained was about the receptionist's unacceptably rude behavior. I eventually left their care because of all this odd and offensively defensive behavior. A few years passed and a loved one' s long-term dentist wound up abruptly retiring, so I actually recommended Grand Dentistry to them, since they were nearby. When he called Grand Dentistry, he was immediately put off by the rudeness of the very same receptionist - Leticia. Who he said actually scoffed at his insurance provider and said they only take the elite version of it. The funny thing is that he works for a very well-known media company and they have a separate phone number just for employees under his company's plan. He just calls it a custom PPO plan, but I'm assuming that is what Leticia meant when she referred to "the elite version" that they take. Ironically, Leticia then proceeded to tell him that he was not on the elite plan and so his coverage with Grand Dentistry would largely be out of pocket. So not only is this woman rude beyond comprehension, she apparently doesn't do her job well. The worst part is that she seems overly confident that she is immune to criticism. And maybe she is. I'm not sure if she's related to, married to, or the girlfriend of a higher-up - but whatever the case is, her elitist attitude and condescending spirit are doing real harm to the reputation of this office. My loved one is not one to ever complain, he simply found another dentist and moved on. But the fact that Leticia is still there and still acting so rudely is what motivated my update today. When someone is potentially the first person to engage with a new patient, be it on the phone or in person, you should expect them to represent the ALOHA spirit that this place wants to be known for. Not the antithesis.

They did not accept my insurance (totally fine) but I was able to get an affordable exam. So good so far. Unfortunately thats where it took a downturn. The hygienist checked my gums and said I needed a deep clean, (fair) I told her that was not within my budget at the moment; and she ignored that and continued to tell me why I needed a deep clean. She then proceeded to tell me I need braces. My teeth are cramped and a little crooked, but not terrible. I told her that was wayyyy out of budget right now. And she inferred that I needed to rearrange my finances... Remember I was here for a painful and off center jaw.. the dentist told me he couldn't do anything for TMJ in the office, but he could refer me out. So $90 later, I had no less pain, and been essentially shamed by the hygienist. At check out she stood in the back of the office glaring at me with her arms folded while the receptionist showed me pricing for a deep clean. With the discount, it would have been roughly $1300. When I once again said that was out of my budget, she huffed. The receptionists and dentists were nice enough, and as helpful as they were able to be.
