Whole octopus tentacles rubbed in chili and dry cooked. Came with mushrooms but I gave them away. $10

Ate at the bar. Two for one for all drinks made with house liquors (no gin or whiskey). Had the octopus (tender and delicious) and the smoked pork leg (great flavor but dry and overcooked). The next two visits did not go as well, especially enchilada night. The flyer says AYCE enchiladas (red, green or mole) but they bring you 3, then 2, then 1 and they don't have mole. And it is chicken or cheese only - no beef. And the subsequent servings come 30 minutes apart. Plus, they have no flavor due to unseasoned boiled chicken on the inside and the minimal sauce on the outside.

Don Julio margarita (one with added strawberry juice) - both Delicious, must have salty rim!

I have not read any other reviews but we have been staying here at Las Palomas for over 10 years, sometimes twice a year and have NEVER eaten here . We like to go out to the local places, but this time it's pretty chilly so we decided it's time to stay in try it. The service is slow but we love Mexico so much we have come to expect that, enjoy our drinks and wait. The food was good to great we would certainly eat here again but not for a while, so much to explore out in town. Drinks: I had the margarita on the rocks with salt rim (Don Julio) and loved it, had 3 and could have had many more but had to get back upstairs to the kids. Our friend had same with some strawberry juice and she loved it. Appetizers: our friend had the clams and eat the whole thing, she loved it, did it try it so I can't say. We had the octopus and was good Main course: we had the flounder, thought was good but needed salt, pepper, and lemon slice (was a bit too dry) but the combination that it came with was great. Wife had the "other" fish not sure what it was but was good, very tasty and bit more juicy. Deserts: Threes leches : I am not a big fan but friend liked it. Creape with ice cream was good My favorite was the chocolate cake with ice cream

    Chilaquiles verde

I really enjoyed my meal here! I had chilaquiles verde and omg it was the best chilaquiles I've had thus far! It's was on the spicier side, but delicious nonetheless. I know once I leave Mexico I'm going to dream about these chilaquiles lol and the mimosas were a delight! They are made with freshly squeezed orange juice!!! Everything just tasted so fresh and clean, and it was an enjoyable dining experience.

This is the "white tablecloth" restaurant in the complex. Sadly we did not make it for the THREE hour 2-1 drinks at happy hour (I think 5-8) We got there right after 8pm and they would not honor it (which is kinda a bummer, but I get it). The prices were reasonable. I had the skirt steak (served with beans a tortilla guac and salsa.) pretty decent - slightly overcooked - I ordered med-rare. They have flavored butters with the warm rolls that I really enjoyed. Service was excellent.

The food was just already they need to update the menu. i got the whole chicken with side of veggies. I would recommend if your super hungry.

Although the dishes I've gotten there were pretty good, everyone has complaint about theirs. Everything from, the chipotle dish is super spicy, to the pasta sauce tastes like Chef-Boy-R-Dee. This is definitely not a daily, go to place to eat. The price is a little steep and like I said, the food ain't all that.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. This place is really small, so if there's a big party you're SOL. We never leave PP without eating here, we love it so much

I knew thru my friend's recommendation, Cholla Bay Oyster House was definitely on my list of venturing away from the Calle 13 hub. Thank goodness I paid attention to my girlfriend's footage and noticed there's a decent stretch of packed sand from Diego's Tiki Bar to CBOH. It's an 8 minute drive (4.9km) between those two locations in the sand. My bestie & I are pavement princesses and are not comfortable riding on sand. So, we opted to rent a Rhino ATV and it was a great trip out to Choya Bay. There's decent parking out front, but, you can also take the sandy driveway down below and park close to the bay (on the rocks or close to the restaurant walls, if space is available). There's decent parking weather was sunny, not overly warm, and beautiful enough to sit outside underneath their covered patio. Since my bestie's a picky eater- (no seafood), CBOH had something for everyone. They got pasta, quesadillas, carne, pollo, soups & salads, etc. There's also Specials of the Week (and they vary by which day). I was curious about the Tuna Chicharron. I was wondering if it was similar to Nobu's fried fish skins. But here, it's like ordering tuna chunks that's breaded, fried, & served with drizzles of a teriyaki bbq sauce (SO GOOD!) and fresh guacamole. Each bite was tender and delicious. The shrimp ceviche tostada was good. There's a difference in the shrimp taste from Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez), compared to Gulf of Mexico or from the Pacific Ocean. Since hubby and I love us some battered fish tacos- we were NOT expecting these huge fillets that came inside EACH taco! Gasp!! And mind you, they come in an order of 3!! These battered fish tacos are NOT what you get back home in San Diego. One order of 3 here can feed 2 people, if ya'll wanna make room in your belly for more yum yums! You'll actually get TWO fish fillets PER taco! Staff is friendly and always checks on you. Come out for the gorgeous views, fresh food and
