It's still one of my favorite places to go for lunch relax and enjoy good food at a reasonable price

    Club sandwich and soup

Located inside the Art Center, the Citrus Bistro is a winner. Very friendly staff had drinks out quickly. I got the club sandwich and soup. Soup, cabbage and something, was delicious. The club sandwich was absolutely great, but in the panini press a little too long. Bread was a little too crunchy. If in the mood for a sandwich, yes, I would return. And I suggest you do the same.

WOW this littlle place I ran into whole I was at Corpus is a hidden gem! Everything I had here was nothing short of exceptional. I ordered the and cheese soup that was DELICIOUS. Most soups that I've had are super cheesy and thick this looked homemade with just enough cheese and broccoli. Then I had their special for the day which was the ahí tuna tacos! They were cooked just right with peppers, red onions, avocado and a delicious sauce. Ended with their chocolate mousse that was another hit and house coffee. Definitely coming here every time I'm in Corpus. The service was also exceptional very nice, attentive, and quiet.

My wonderful boyfriend and I were in Corpus Christi for a few days of fun, and were touring the harbor area, looking for a place for lunch. A helpful Yelp filtered search brought up Citrus. I'd remember seeing the sign down the road and how inviting it looked, so mind made up and we headed inside. Citrus is a "tea room" but it definitely doesn't look like any tea room I've ever been in. Not a single doily or lavender oil room freshener to be found. Instead, a cool, clean interior with interesting art on the wall and a gorgeous view of the pier awaited us. I ordered a cup of Abuela's Chicken soup and the Citrus Spring Salad and my boyfriend ordered the Cubano sandwich. The soup was delicious, and I knew immediately the stock was made from scratch - not just from the taste (which was awesome), but from the way it felt on my tongue. I finished that up quickly, and was then greeted by a beautiful and refreshing salad with crisp romaine and slices of apple that went perfectly with the Champagne Vinaigrette. I was able to wrestle a bite of my boyfriend's Cubano Sandwich and was disappointed I didn't have a second stomach so I could eat that, too! The pork was so moist and tender, with that rich flavor you only find from meat that's been braising all day. SO GOOD. Luckily, we had a tiny bit of room left, and ordered a slice of the Italian Cream Cake and two cups of coffee. The cake was good, but the coffee was better! A hint of cinnamon put it over the top. We were back in the area two days later and immediately decided to return again for lunch. I ordered the Shrimp Sandwich, and the bf ordered the Mediterranean Salad with chicken. The shrimp salad was amazing, and wasn't overwhelmed by the herb/caper mayonnaise. The bread it was served on was light and crisp and absorbed the mayo perfectly. The bf had no complaints about the salad, and the presentation made it look as great as it tasted. The salad was dressed with a balsamic vinegar, and I could tell the vinegar was high quality. Very good! This time for dessert, we ordered the Pistachio cake, which was even better than the Italian Cream Cake. The icing was light and fresh with bits of pistachio, and the cake was surprisingly moist. The service was excellent, too. The hostess recognized us from our visit two days earlier and greeted us like old friends. The waitstaff is super attentive and gladly gave recommendations. Our first visit, our wonderful waiter even brought us samples of the tomato basil soup, which was delicious! I am definitely looking forward to returning to Corpus and Citrus in the future!

I have to write a review about this place. My friend and I entered the bistro at about 1:55pm and little did we know that it actually closes at 2:00pm. We didn't even realize it until we saw the hours on the menu because the owner (I'm guessing) and the waiters were so nice to us. We basically made them stay there an extra hour and they seemed totally fine about it. So, onto the food. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and I was most definitely apprehensive about doing so. I like my phillies to be rich and greasy and unhealthy, and this bistro did not look like a place to sell that (plus it came with a side salad which it just unheard of in my Philly Cheese Steak World). However, I was pleasantly surprised about how good it was when it came out. It had nice pieces of steak, cooked bell peppers, onions, mayo, and cheese. The salad was also wonderful. My friend ordered their Cubano and she seemed to love it. The Philly Cheese Steak was very good (especially since I ordered it not expecting much) but it wasn't 5 stars, IMO. I would definitely come back. I just wish the hours were so limited (11am-2pm Mon-Fri).

Attached to the Art Center in downtown Corpus Christi, the Bistro is great stop for lunch while out sightseeing. Excellent food, iced teas, and view of the docks. After you eat, walk through the free art galleries while you digest. Had the Club sandwich (no cheese), removed some of the tomatoes and extra slices of meat, and it was fantastic. Plenty of chipotle mayo made for a sloppy sandwich, but it was delicious. Potato salad was a bit too mustardy for my tastes. Blueberry ice tea hit the spot, and even came unsweetened.

This little cafe was a complete surprise. I had driven with a colleague down to Corpus to meet with a client and we wanted to grab a bite on the way to the afternoon meeting. All the usual places were packed as it was already spring break. Then we saw a sign hanging on the backside of the art museum advertising the cafe. We popped in and it was wonderful! Their menu includes cold and hot sandwiches as well as a soup of the day. It sounded yummy when the server described it, but she sold us on their quiche of the day. The quiche was a very generous slice with a little side salad and a few pieces of fruit. We made a mistake in sitting near the dessert tower and spent the better part of our lunch watching the servers go back and forth, removing a luscious cake and then returning it again. So it motivated us to order buttermilk pie. It was a custard style pie with a piped flavored piped on top. The custard was beautifully chilled and had a hint of nutmeg. Perfect! Oh and the view from the art museum out to the marina along the shoreline was gorgeous! I will go here again.

First time eating at this restaurant and last. Started to have stomach cramps and lead me to vomit the food later in the night.

It's open-air and sits right on the dock, so you're literally eating over the water, which makes for a fun experience. At first, I was a little disappointed because I realized they had changed their menu and some of the items I was looking forward to were no longer available. But we decided to stay and give it a chance, and I'm glad we did. I ordered the Build Whatever with blue crab on a bun. The blue crab was fresh, well-seasoned, and really flavorful. I also got an aioli sauce on the side, which paired perfectly with it. My husband ordered the Poke Tuna Wrap, and it was phenomenal. I ended up loving his meal so much that I'll definitely be ordering it myself next time. We also shared the ceviche, which came with tostadas and saltines. It tasted incredibly fresh and was the perfect thing to eat on a hot day. One thing to note is that they don't serve any fried food, but everything we ordered tasted fresh and high quality. Their cocktails were excellent as well. I had a raspberry lemonade cocktail, although I can't remember the name of it. It was delicious and refreshing. Overall, the food, drinks, atmosphere, and waterfront setting made for a really enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back.

I think a 2.5 would be an adequate score to describe my experience at Harrison's Landing. While the…read morefood was done well and our waiter was attentive, the atmosphere was anything but welcoming. Upon arrival, the hostess insisted we look at the menu before entry because "our menu is a little strange," or something along those lines. While this was certainly a strange greeting, we still, of course, wanted to eat at the restaurant, as we had already looked at the menu prior to arriving. As if I wasn't already feeling unwelcome enough, the hostess also thought it relevant to mention that we barely got there in time because they would stop taking tables after us, even though they had an entire hour before closing. On top of all this, the hostess made comments about where I decided to sit, saying something along the lines of, "Are you sure you want to sit over there? It looks too sunny." So, after being told that my palate might not be sophisticated enough to indulge in their premium cuisine, and essentially being told that we were an inconvenience for coming in an hour before close, yes, please question the spot that I am choosing to be seated in. Lastly, I also overheard a waitress complain about not being able to leave because a party was still eating (despite there still being 45 minutes before close). Overall, the atmosphere from the staff was unwelcoming and unprofessional. The food is the only thing that may bring me back in the future.
