This location is a standalone restaurant in a large plaza with plenty of parking. There isn't any gluten free or vegan options. We were greeted and seated right away. You can tell there are lots of regulars by the way they walked in and grabbed silverware and were greeted by the servers. They bring fresh blueberry muffins to each table. There is a big menu. There isnt a lot of windows but there is a lot of decor to look around at. The food comes out quick. The portion size is appropriate and not alot of leftovers. I really enjoyed my eggs Benedict, the eggs were poached well and the hollandaise was really good. It is worth a stop to check out.

Enchiladas with eggs it was ok, they had too much cumin which can be overwhelming. Not sure why some places put too much cumin

What a great place for breakfast. It was busy but the service was great. First drink order- coffee - came fast. Next the hot blueberry muffins. Then the menu, what to order. It all looked so good. My husband and I decided on the Mexican breakfast with 2 cheese con carne enchiladas, 2 over easy eggs, refried beans, flour tortillas and hash brown. The salsa had to be homemade, it was so good. It was the best part of our quick vacation. Also was really impressed by the wait staff. I counted 8 plates being hand delivered at the same time! Wow, impressive!

I loved this food and the vibe here is fantastic and old school. I will come back every time I visit corpus! Locals abound! When I retire I'll be sitting at the breakfast bar with my buddies and coffee!

First time dining here. Rustic decor and they have a train on tracks traveling inside the diner. So neat. Staff is friendly and attentive. Our server was Anna she was helpful and answered all my questions. This place is very popular so arrive early when you go on the weekend. All the food was delicious and not over cooked. Establishment is kept clean. Definitely recommend this place

A cozy country diner charting its origins to a coffee shop founded in Corpus in 1958, with the full-service restaurant opening in 1978, to ownership passed down through their "favorite" veteran waitress. It's filled with family and food that reminds me of home, and a warm blueberry muffin served with every seating. Servers dressed in pink for October's breast cancer awareness bustle around the kitchen that remains busy but collegial, taking care of guests like good neighbors. I was steered towards one of my old favorites - Chicken & Waffle (a Texas classic!) with juicy chicken strips in lightly peppered batter contrasting with a crisp Belgian ("Andy's") waffle and fresh maple syrup. Cream gravy, if you please, and Strawberry Shortcake if you're traveling with an extra sweet tooth! P.S. The hashbrowns really are ALL that!

Had such a wonderful experience at Andy's Country Kitchen -- absolutely worth every bit of the wait! Food, service, and ambience -- everything was just perfect. The place has a sweet, cozy, and comfortable vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. We tried the seafood platter, and it was incredible -- everything tasted so fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The sides really elevated the meal, especially the charro beans, which are a must-have with it. Country fried fresh water Catfish was just as good -- juicy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. One of the sweetest touches was the complimentary blueberry muffins while waiting -- soft, fluffy, and honestly the perfect start before the meal. And the desserts... WOW. The cheesecake slice and carrot cake were both absolutely mouthwatering -- rich, moist, and the perfect way to end the meal. The service made the experience even better -- our server Anna was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. Just a heads-up: this place is popular for a reason, so expect a 20-30 minute wait, but it's 100% worth it. Plan ahead and go -- you won't regret it! Highly recommend if you're in Corpus Christi!

Wait was brief despite being full. Hostess and waitress provided excellent service. The food was good but not great. My partner and I shared the breakfast enchiladas with hasbrowns, beans, and toast. This had potential, but it was not hot enough (temperature-wise) for me nor did they have a hot version of salsa. However, the enchiladas were solid Tex- Mex. Our son ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was in the form of tenders and they had a tasty breading. He was pleased. We have been here in the past and will return.

Always a great place for breakfast. Wait staff is always attentive and friendly. If you like your bacon extra crispy ask for it deep fried.

We thought we would visit for dinner at about 6 pm . Place was totally empty when we arrived; a very wait person say us and very nicely waited on us throughout. I had the two bratwurst with red cabbage and German potatoe salad . Now usually to me , bratwurst should be full juicy sausages of a considerable size . What I got was a little better than two hot dogs that were cut in two length wise. The potato salad was somewhat greasy and not too remarkable at all. The red cabbage was only passable. The whole thing seemed like it was warmed up from lunch , in that it came out surprisingly quickly and was tepid rather than hot. Microwaved maybe even. My partner had pork schnitzel, spaetzal and sauerkraut. The snitzel seemed ok though tepid . The serving size though was somewhat smaller than what their online pic showed but my wife said that she didn't need anything bigger . My wife said the spaetzal was good though I tasted it and thought it seemed warmed up. The oddest thing is that the sauerkraut was mixed up with mashed potatoes. The texture was weird and it was missing the tanginess of sauerkraut and , again, tasted warmed up. Is this a way to "stretch" sauerkraut of all things? The problem is they just started dinner service I guess in the last two weeks according to our server . On top of all this it was exorbitantly priced . Whereas I might visit during breakfast, I may not fit dinner for a while to where they can build a better experience. The waitress was very nice and accommodating.

Visit 3: got breakfast thru the drive thru, chilaquiles with egg mixed in, no salsa ranchera They made the corn tortilla chips very soggy and there were ONIONS which I do not like and which was not disclosed, only ate a quarter or the top layer of the plate. Visit 4: was sick with vomiting so got tortilla soup. Chicken was cooked but not tenderized. I liked the one from Cancun's better. Visit 5: brought hubby here. He commented that carne guisada was overcooked, I tasted and agreed. I put this place to the true test by ordering menudo... and they failed. Menudo tasted like they didn't wash tripas after parboiling them. Each bite was initially good follow up by an uncomfortable, dirty aftertaste. My verdict: not bad, just mid. Maybe some issues with quality control. I'll be back to try the seafood though.
