This location is a standalone restaurant in a large plaza with plenty of parking. There isn't any gluten free or vegan options. We were greeted and seated right away. You can tell there are lots of regulars by the way they walked in and grabbed silverware and were greeted by the servers. They bring fresh blueberry muffins to each table. There is a big menu. There isnt a lot of windows but there is a lot of decor to look around at. The food comes out quick. The portion size is appropriate and not alot of leftovers. I really enjoyed my eggs Benedict, the eggs were poached well and the hollandaise was really good. It is worth a stop to check out.

Enchiladas with eggs it was ok, they had too much cumin which can be overwhelming. Not sure why some places put too much cumin

What a great place for breakfast. It was busy but the service was great. First drink order- coffee - came fast. Next the hot blueberry muffins. Then the menu, what to order. It all looked so good. My husband and I decided on the Mexican breakfast with 2 cheese con carne enchiladas, 2 over easy eggs, refried beans, flour tortillas and hash brown. The salsa had to be homemade, it was so good. It was the best part of our quick vacation. Also was really impressed by the wait staff. I counted 8 plates being hand delivered at the same time! Wow, impressive!

I loved this food and the vibe here is fantastic and old school. I will come back every time I visit corpus! Locals abound! When I retire I'll be sitting at the breakfast bar with my buddies and coffee!

First time dining here. Rustic decor and they have a train on tracks traveling inside the diner. So neat. Staff is friendly and attentive. Our server was Anna she was helpful and answered all my questions. This place is very popular so arrive early when you go on the weekend. All the food was delicious and not over cooked. Establishment is kept clean. Definitely recommend this place

A cozy country diner charting its origins to a coffee shop founded in Corpus in 1958, with the full-service restaurant opening in 1978, to ownership passed down through their "favorite" veteran waitress. It's filled with family and food that reminds me of home, and a warm blueberry muffin served with every seating. Servers dressed in pink for October's breast cancer awareness bustle around the kitchen that remains busy but collegial, taking care of guests like good neighbors. I was steered towards one of my old favorites - Chicken & Waffle (a Texas classic!) with juicy chicken strips in lightly peppered batter contrasting with a crisp Belgian ("Andy's") waffle and fresh maple syrup. Cream gravy, if you please, and Strawberry Shortcake if you're traveling with an extra sweet tooth! P.S. The hashbrowns really are ALL that!

Had such a wonderful experience at Andy's Country Kitchen -- absolutely worth every bit of the wait! Food, service, and ambience -- everything was just perfect. The place has a sweet, cozy, and comfortable vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. We tried the seafood platter, and it was incredible -- everything tasted so fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The sides really elevated the meal, especially the charro beans, which are a must-have with it. Country fried fresh water Catfish was just as good -- juicy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. One of the sweetest touches was the complimentary blueberry muffins while waiting -- soft, fluffy, and honestly the perfect start before the meal. And the desserts... WOW. The cheesecake slice and carrot cake were both absolutely mouthwatering -- rich, moist, and the perfect way to end the meal. The service made the experience even better -- our server Anna was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. Just a heads-up: this place is popular for a reason, so expect a 20-30 minute wait, but it's 100% worth it. Plan ahead and go -- you won't regret it! Highly recommend if you're in Corpus Christi!

Wait was brief despite being full. Hostess and waitress provided excellent service. The food was good but not great. My partner and I shared the breakfast enchiladas with hasbrowns, beans, and toast. This had potential, but it was not hot enough (temperature-wise) for me nor did they have a hot version of salsa. However, the enchiladas were solid Tex- Mex. Our son ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was in the form of tenders and they had a tasty breading. He was pleased. We have been here in the past and will return.

You can tell that the chef(s) pour their heart into eat dish prepared. My mother in law and I both ordered salads and my wife ordered the snapper tacos and we all ate every single bite! The ambiance is great for a casual family meal and there is also a bar area as well. My only suggestion is for the restaurant to please oh please put a bit into upgrading the bathrooms. It really is a disservice to the customers and experience when some of the stalls don't close and the toilets are literally falling apart and closed with plastic instead of the normal parts they should be. However, we will be back and recommend it to others for a great casual meal with excellent food, good service and reasonable prices!

I tasted his and it was very good as well. It had a Cajun vibe, but not too spicy. It came with 3 shrimp, rice pilaf and asparagus. He had to take part of his home because we wanted to try their bread pudding with cinnamon and Caramel with a scoop of cream ice cream. I needed to walk the block after all that. It was all so delightful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

That said, we made a trip to Hopdoddy recently and I was surprised at how reasonable it ended up being for a family of four. I went with the double bacon jam burger. The meat was well seasoned and cooked right, and the bun held up with everything going on, which isn't always the case. My son had a classic burger and finished it fast with no complaints. My daughter is picky and went with the grilled cheese, but even that disappeared without a fight, which says a lot. My wife ordered the Nashville hot sandwich and it came out as a huge piece of chicken. She couldn't finish it, but my son had no problem stepping in later. We shared the parmesan truffle fries and the regular hand cut fries. Both were crispy and paired well with everything else. The place was busy during a weekend lunch rush, but the staff stayed friendly and kept things moving. Food came out quick, and the place looked clean despite the crowd. We'll definitely be back.

I genuinely appreciate seasoned food. Fries and burgers cooked without salt can't be "fixed" with a salt shaker once they get to the table. So I get that. But this a ridiculous amount of salt! To the point where you can't even taste the actual food because your tastebuds were just preserved in salt, like jerky. Were they even potatoes? While I've now been informed I can request less salt in the future, I believe I fundamentally disagree with this company's philosophy if this is truly their targeted salt level. From this point forward, I shall call them "Saltdoddy" as I drive on by.

I totally forgot the names of our meals, but the food was oh so delicious . I can't wait to return on our next visit. The chicken dish (according to hubby) was excellent. The chicken was well-seasoned, moist, and perfectly cooked. The vegetables and rice were a great complement to the meal, offering a fresh balance to the plate. Highly recommended for anyone who visits! The beef stew was spicy and delicious, packed with bold flavors that cleared up my sinuses with every bite. After three days of bland food during this visit, it was a welcome relief to my palate. The beans and rice paired well with the stew, and I would have brought back leftovers if I were home! I indulged in way too many chips and salsa, which reduced the space for my meal, but it was well worth it. Not pictured is the deliciously fresh lemonade I had to wash down my meal--refreshing and perfect. Our server was friendly and kind, making sure we were well taken care of throughout.
