I can't eat beef, so that normally would have meant I was out of luck. Instead, they offered to substitute a grilled chicken patty and keep everything else the same. It ended up being absolutely delicious (flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care). Even through delivery, the overall experience felt thoughtful and accommodating. The communication was kind and solution-oriented, and the food arrived well-packaged and hot. It's a small restaurant but big on flavor. I wanted a burger but wasn't feeling fries and a sugary drink. The bacon cheeseburger on sourdough was fantastic. I asked about side dish options and the server recommended a bowl of fruit it was the perfect choice! Then sweating over the standard beverages the gal at the counter suggested I pick from some of the fresh waters. I picked cucumber water and it was lite and refreshing. Let me begin by say if you want to get lost in the 50's and 60's This is the spot , checker flooring, steel guitar table. As for the food it was simple but good but the hamburger bun was the amazing. The music playing will have you singing every song and all the pictures of old musicians is awesome. Now the service was quick and very good. One of the best places to eat in Robstown. Family owned and great food and desert selections to choose from. The chicken salad on croissant is a favorite. Burgers are also very good. When we asked where to get the best burger in town, this restaurant was recommended! My husband got an angus beef bacon cheeseburger and I got an angus beef hot dog with pepper jack cheese and mushrooms ... yum! The rolls on both sandwiches were delicious! The staff was very helpful and friendly. My only issue is that the restaurant did not feel clean. A coat of paint is needed and the bathrooms need improvement. We drove by this place in Robstown on our way back from the valley back home to San Antonio and it was the perfect little spot to stop for food. The food was really good and the service was excellent! You can tell it's a mom and pop shop and the dad is the owner and it seems like his daughters work with him and they're just really nice people. We were traveling with animals so we were taking turns staying with them outside and they came out to check on us outside. We will definitely be stopping there again if we ever drive through Robstown in the future! read more

This place here has stood the test of time which tells me that whatever they are doing it is being done right. I usually stop here for a nice fresh smoothie or fruit cup which are made with real fresh ingredients. The smoothie has always been a big hit for me as it is real smooth and so rich in flavors, only wished they would make it in a big cup to be able to enjoy a lot longer. Picked R&R for lunch on our drive back home from SPI. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel like you've stepped into a 1950's burger joint. All the food is made fresh-to-order. Burgers and blended ice-cream shakes. 10/10 would stop again for food. My only complaint (if you can call it one), is that the young lady who took our order was trying to be so helpful that she confused even herself - we led with wanting to split our bill, which she kept saying she would ring it all up as one order and then split it at the end...and then...couldn't split the bill.
