I visited today to have lunch with my granddaughter. I was surprised to find that they serve live crawfish. Although I didn't anticipate fireworks, the crawfish were absolutely delicious! I usually visit Brewster Street for crawfish, and I must say, these were significantly better. Now, one significant difference is that they are SPICY here! Which I absolutely loved! My granddaughter had a fantastic time on the pirate ship playground, and the overall service was spectacular. Today was a great day. A must-visit! Ask for Steven; he was phenomenal. read more

First time here since they opened and it was a tasty experience!!! The fried zucchini is highly recommended!! It was really good!! My wife had the clam chowder (not pictured) and it was good however the bacon kind of over powered the taste. She also ordered regular fried shrimp and in her words it was good but she liked my coconut shrimp better as she ate all of them!! The coconut shrimp was the star of the meal!! Not frozen coconut shrimp like other restaurants, they're monde fresh in the back and they were packed with flavor!! Not to sweet like some just the right mixture of sweetness and spices. I would give 5 stars but the beer bartered cod was way too salty!! And it's a shame as the crust was flaky and the fish was nice and tender. I ordered the 6 piece shrimp and my husband ordered the 6 piece oysters. I asked to sub the French fries for red beans. I was told red beans and rice were an upcharge of $3.99 because they were a "premium" side. They were listed right there with French fries; not a premium. My diet is low carb. Red beans and rice are complex carbs and protein. The menu did not say, "no substitutions". Food was tasty however shrimp and oysters were small. Service was good also. We are retired on a fixed income and adding $4 to the bill would be an unwarranted increase. read more

If I coulde give -5 stars I would. Horrible experience in this restaurant. Major management issues in this restaurant. We can't begin to tell you how bad the service is here. If you want to wait over hour for your food before your waiter comes over to tell you there was issue with a breaker and the machine that prints tickets went down and nobody noticed. There was us - table for 2 and another table of about 10 in the restaurant at the time, so I do not even understand how that could have even been the issue, their food came out and the waiter only had the 2 tables to take care of, actually the entire staff only had 2 table to take care of and the fact that our waiter did not notice is a bunch of bull crap. Then after we complained to waiter the manager came over and told us he would have our order out right away, another 20 minutes go by and then some freak comes to our table who looked stoned out of his mind and was harassing us, first he said to my husband you want to go outside, then was mumbling something about cigarettes, then waitress came over and they pretended to look for a cell phone, I do not know if it was one of their staff members or not but very intimidating person harassed us and nobody did anything., and still no food served to us by the way...after that I walked out of the restaurant and my husband went into their kitchen and told them off. He is professional chef with culinary degree and he could not believe how the manager maintains his position at this joke of a restaurant.. When we got outside, the freak followed us to our car, I thought he was going to do something to my husband. Stay clear of this place. I would drug test this entire establishment. Shout out to BJ Restaurant next door - the ENTIRE staff on point. We told our waiter about terrible experience at Landry's and that we were really hungry after waiting so long and no food. He immediately asked if he could bring us a complimentary bowl of soup not little cup a bowl. We got the chili and ordered their wings, fish n chips and for appetizer we tried their new shrimp toast dish which I highly recommend. We came to Landry's Kitchen for late lunch early dinner. The place itself has plenty of room inside for large groups and plenty of parking outside. It is located conveniently off the I-35. The hostess was very accommodating and the waiter-Benjamin- was friendly. The manager came over to ask how everything was and we informed him how attentive Benjamin was and how flavorful the Mahi Mahi was cooked. When this first opening the food was great. However, the last 3 times we have eaten there the food was just so-so. Mainly the food was tepid at best. Two times were after the lunch hour. We decided to try this restaurant tonight since we had heard good things about it. Located in the old Joe's Crab Shack space on SPID, it wasn't busy at all when we walked in on a Wednesday night. The restaurant is not large, but decorated beautifully but casually like NOLA in New Orleans with dark woods and barrels for lights. We gave our drink orders and studied the menu. First thing we noticed was the prices....very reasonable for a seafood restaurant! They have lots of choices, including steaks and chicken. We ordered a fried seafood platter and shrimp pontchartrain. The fried platters all come with fries and coleslaw, the shrimp came with veggies and rice. Both entrees were excellent, very tasty and large portions for the money. The fish on the seafood platter had a thin crunchy coating and melted in your mouth. Shrimp were ok and the oysters were tiny. Coleslaw on the seafood platter was unremarkable. The French fries were hot and crisp and the veggies were sautéed well. The hush puppies were oddly sweet. Tartar sauce tasted homemade. Our server was friendly and efficient without hovering. We will go back! Total for two entrees and two beers was $53.18 read more

We also tried the shrimp kisses, which were bacon-wrapped, pepper jack cheese and jalapeño stuffed, with a tasty barbecue chipotle glaze.
