The crust was light but flaky, the apples were perfectly cooked and it didn't taste artificial. we also had the chocolate chip cookie; it looked a little burnt on the edges, but I was told it was soft in the center and crunchy on the outside. Looking at the cookie, im kind of surprised they would sell something they kind of burnt... This is why I'm giving the place 3 stars, my supervisor wanted the gluten free brownie instead they gave her a regular brownie. I have a gluten intolerance, I didn't realize this until after I ate the brownie and looked at their menu. If someone is buying a gluten free item please make sure you're giving them the right item. All three desserts looked homemade and tasted great. My only main concern is, if you have an allergy beware of what you're getting and what they're giving you.

There were other areas of the building that I didn't get a chance to explore and I am not sure it was available to the public to see because it wasn't part of the birthday celebration area. As you walk through the double doors there is a large bar area to the right and a large area with a dance floor and a stage for further entertainment. The bartender served up some great drinks, nice and strong, the way I like them! I would definitely recommend this establishment if you're looking to host an event. Very spacious and adequate for a nice gathering event!.

Most of the food is bite size and perfect for a snack or for what I would figure are events. The cream cheese is hard to explain. It isn't too heavy or overwhelming. The sweet ones seem almost whipped and churned in with the sweeter ingredients. Most bagel shops I feel serve you globby cannoli or chocolate flavored cream cheese in heaps but the texture is just different. The bites - They have mini cookie sandwiches with cream cheese in the middle, chocolate covered bon bon truffle like things with cream cheese, little tarts. Hold on - wait for it - snack packs that resemble your favorite kid snacks like dunkaroos. But these are with teddy grahams! They come with the Beckaroos (cake batter), peanut butter jelly time, smores and chill, salty side, pb&j pretzel dip, gingerbread cookie, and dirt cups. We went with the traditional Beckaroos and the funfetti dip and were not disappointed. Bagels can also be ordered with their many flavors of cream cheese. They are on the small side but they also come loaded with tons of cream cheese, so honestly, I find the size kind of perfect. The loaded lox spread apparently sells out super fast and you should be on top of it and get there early as they make it fresh every day and its a store favorite. I went with the bacon, egg, and cheese and honestly its one of the best flavored cream cheeses I've had in my life (especially for a bacon cream cheese). It's not too overwhelming, slightly sweet with a hint of ketchup but so savory and fluffy and has chunks of egg whipped into it. I want to come back and try everything - especially peanut butter and the seasonal pumpkin, to name a few. There's not really any seating inside as it's just a cute little shop, but take your bagel to go or go sit out in Tompkin's Square Park.

We ordered a total of 30 quarter-sized bites which cost $27 (it would have been $34 without the seamless promo). I think that's a great deal considering these sell 3 for $3.50. They also have other treats like mini bagels with assorted cream cheese and dunkaroos for sale. Bite sized treats are available in 12 flavors. We opted for: the fruit and apple tart, cookies and cream bite, cappuccino bite, red velvet and funfetti cookiewich. I came first thing in the morning and they had my stuff all packed and ready to go! The shop is small, cozy, clean, and seats about 4 people comfortably. The best thing is you can dessert hop if you wanted to..Becky's, Big Gay Icecream, and mochii are all within walking distance! I have to add that their packaging is on point. They put cardboard separators to fit all your tarts in a single box and tape one down at the top of your desserts so that they're less likely to move around. You would think it's a no brainer but not every venue does this. One thing I agree with are past reviews about needing to be more eco friendly. For larger orders, they could use bigger baking cups to fit multiple bites or ask customers if they have a preference. THE VERDICT: We ate these during the end of a staff meeting but it took so much effort not to eat them beforehand because the bites give off a strong, lovely smell that reminds me of graham crackers. The cappuccino bites and funfetti cookiewich were office favorites. Folks said the cappuccino bite has a great aftertaste and preferred it over the cookies and cream bite. I felt that the other flavors were underwhelming. I couldn't taste much flavor in the red velvet cookiewich or in the fruit tart I tried. Same foodie energy with a 'not your average chicken & beef' selection of great food. Food is tasty and easily takes into account any type of ethnicity and variety one may prefer. Komeeda, as a company, strives to create a multi-cultural experience tailored to the unique identities and values of who they are working with. From the very start of our experience, Jabber and Rosalee were helpful and collaborative in crafting a catering experience for our wedding that reflected the multi-cultural aspects as well as who we are as a couple. Through in-person meetings as well as over the phone, they made themselves available to us to implement adjustments to food choices as well as venue decorations we had to change in anticipation of the event. It was a feeling of relief knowing that we were in good hands from start to finish. This not only eliminated the usual worrying that comes with planning and anticipating a wedding, but also allowed us to enjoy the actual the experience of selecting food and decorations which reflected our identity as a couple. One of the highlights of the planning process was attending tasting with Chef Alex who prepared a myriad of interesting and innovative plates from both our cultures. He not only was friendly and very skilled but also took feedback in adjusting the flavor profile of dishes he was presenting. We could not have been happier and having a tasting so thoroughly thought-through gave us an accurate idea of how food would taste on the actual day (as it should!). Jabber and Rosalee were also very communicative along the way and were willing to not only accommodate our schedules but also where we would meet in the city. During the actual day of the wedding, the venue was beautifully prepared according to a "mood board" my wife and I designed for them to follow as a rough template of what we were thinking for decorative details (color scheme, table layout, etc.). They perfectly captured what we needed working with the venue owner to best accommodate the uniqueness of the space we had our reception at. As for the food, it was exquisite and people kept telling us how it was the best food they have had at a wedding as well as the friendliness of the servers. A couple of my friends also commented how incredible the bartender was and how she accommodated drink requests that were not necessarily on the menu. Everyone was amazed with the experience that Komeeda provided and their focus on details made everyone feel right at home allowing everyone to have a great time from start to finish. Jabber even remembered when we casually asked him if he could save us some hors d'oeuvres from cocktail hour as we missed it to take pictures before arriving at the reception. Guests were also pleasantly surprised when they were offered take-home boxes or another plate of food when everyone was dancing. Jabber and Rosalee took our own identities and values into account when they were able to offer compostable, bamboo kitchenware, which interested our guests and created awareness of environmental sustainability. Jabber and Rosalee are great people and great collaborators for events and we are grateful for the opportunity to have met and worked with them. They're timeliness, professionalism and passion for the company mission, created an experience that is truly unforgettable for everyone.
