I feel like I tend to avoid places that are overhyped but All'Antico Vinaio was actually solid. The storefront is on a cool street in the West Village. I went on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to see that there wasn't a long line wait for it. Going in, one of the people at the front was very welcoming and recommended everyone to try the aperol spritz. I will admit the line didn't move that quickly for our food but I can see the care they put into each step of the process - the bread is very big to cut and each ingredient is cut to assemble on the sandwich. We ordered a variety of the sandwiches. I loved the simplicity of the Venice Beach. The most impressive part was the fact that the bread itself was hot. I would definitely recommend a sandwich with sauce - without sauce the sandwich is pretty much what you'd expect - I think I saw a salami spread that I want to try next time!

You have to try their La Paradiso! This is consider their most popular sandwich. I am extremely shocked at how good Italian sandwiches are after trying this place out! The cream pistachio cream with the thin slice of meat literally melts in your mouth. It's so amazing how this combination was just right. It's so simple but tastes soooo good! Would totally recommend this place and would come back to try out other sandwiches!

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had.. absolutely mandatory to stop by if you're in NYC. I got the New Yorker with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, & arugula. Huge sandwich too!

Good sandwich spot. Huge sandwich. I'd ask them to cut it in half, easier. About a foot by foot sandwich. Insane! Unique to look at. I got the La Broadway sandwich. Very nice ingredients. Fresh. The cheese was incredible. The straciatella is what interested me when I ordered. The bread is just ok. It's kinda dull. And then everything just kinda meshes in your mouth. I didn't get any blasts of flavor that I would've have expected. My sandwich was $15 and very filling.

We walked in and were happily greeted by the guys. Matteo offered food deals and choices and everything was perfect! Drinks were yummy and refreshing and the sandwiches were absolutely delicious, best we've ever had, the Matteo was the favorite but the Venice Beach and LA Summer were delicious too. I highly recommend this place for the amazing food, enjoyable atmosphere and amazing employees!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Solid spot for a sandwich. We split it between the three of us. Clean and quick. We enjoyed a great glass of red Sangiovese. I wish I could taste the prosciutto more. The pictures I always see show the meat spilling out implying there is plenty but our sandwich had very little. We tasted more bread. I also wish the bread was a little more salted. The truffle was a nice touch. Everyone enjoyed it.

Came here after seeing a YouTube video about here. Walked all the way over here from Chinatown. Very disappointing. Got the roast beef and the tomato and basil. The bread was too thick. And the meat inside was such thin later. I would rather go to C. di palo. This place gave me a slightly stomach ache and the whole night I had the nastiest farts. Something in this was either too oiley or not good. Definitely will not be back here

Here for opening at 11 am.

This has been on my bucket list of places to try because my coworkers mentioned it. awesome, fresh sandwiches made to order on home made focaccia. Got le Summer and it was so big that my family each had a piece. Look forward to going back to try other sandwiches. Service was great and place is nice and clean. Some seating inside.

The food is great and reasonably priced - no way around out. It was $19 for the Paradiso + I added arugula and if you wanted, I think you could stretch it into 3 meals. The people are nice and it came out quickly.

Wow a second AAV location in Greenwich Village, this area is so spoiled! My partner and I were so excited to check out this new spot last week as we are huge fans of the chain. We were thrilled to see an off-menu special they were offering and immediately ordered it. La Calvino ($20) had capocollo, arugula, stracciatella, and an amazing onion jam. The capocollo was on the saltier side but I'd still recommend - the sweetness of the onion jam did balance it out a bit and the focaccia was perfectly crisp. We came just before closing so it was pretty quiet and the staff was so sweet. They even offered us some freshly baked leftover focaccia since they were closing up shop and they smelled so good even the next day. Had the best experience and looking forward to coming back soon.

Usually they're 3x bigger but mateo split it in 3 for my boys and I. INFERNOOO

Absolute elite Italian sandwicherie. Mateo who runs the place is a legend, great energy and really knows how to make a sandwich. Ambiance amazing, service impeccable. 10 stars if I could!

This was my first time seeing one with roasted duck though. Just a heads up that the street felt a bit sketchy even though it's near the edge of Chinatown. We were unfortunately harassed by someone outside of the store and ended up giving him a few dollar bills... *Chinese Sausage Mala Wrap $10 ** The lap cheong was spread so evenly throughout that I got some in almost every bite. The mala aioli was quite spicy, but not overpowering or lingering. The crispy shallots added such a nice crunch too which I loved! *Duck Tsangwich $16 I was quite surprised that the roast duck skin stayed crispy! The crackly cookie topping could've been thicker since it was pretty flat. They give you chili oil on the side, but it was already super flavorful with the hoisin sauce. Only thing I wished for was more cucumber and scallion to help balance out the richness.

It seemed mayo-based, and the flavor came across more like a sweet honey mayo than a bold Sichuan mala. 4/10. Ordering was quick through the walk-up window, and there are benches outside for seating. It took about 20 minutes for the wrap to come out. The wait for the Duck Tsangwich was around an hour, so we skipped it this time, but we'll definitely be back to try it.

Every visit reminds you why Parisi has survived since 1903 while trends and neighbors came and went. Let's talk about The Dennis--the undisputed star and a true signature sandwich. This thing is a monster, built on Parisi's legendary fresh-baked bread that somehow stays crisp, chewy, and perfect no matter how much goodness gets piled inside. You get a crispy breaded chicken cutlet layered with thin-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and (if you know what you're doing) roasted red peppers. It's all brought together with their house balsamic blend and basil herb spread/pesto--bright, savory, and completely addictive. I cannot confirm or deny that the sandwich is named after me, but I can confirm it's flawless. Pro tips: * Cash only, old-school rules apply. * Come hungry or plan ahead--this sandwich is big enough to share or save half for later, and it still eats beautifully round two. * Tip the sandwich makers. These folks are artists, and the tip box deserves some love. Beyond the food, Parisi is living New York history. From its origins as an Italian bakery on Mott Street, to feeding generations of locals, to being famously beloved by Frank Sinatra (yes, the bread was shipped to California), this place is woven into the fabric of Little Italy/Nolita. Legends like De Niro and Scorsese are fans, and you can still feel that old-world soul--right down to the original brick oven relic resting in the basement. Parisi isn't just a deli. It's continuity. It's tradition. It's proof that when you do one thing incredibly well for over a century, people keep coming back. And once you've had The Dennis, you will too.
