I immediately saw my general dentist, who recommended that the tooth be extracted and replaced with an implant. As you can imagine, I was extremely nervous and anxious about the idea of oral surgery. I reached out to Dr. Sam Vahedi's office, and from the very first interaction, they were incredibly accommodating and professional. They understood the urgency of my situation and scheduled me promptly, which immediately helped put me at ease. The moment I walked into the office and met Dr. Vahedi, I felt calm and reassured. He has a very confident yet kind demeanor that instantly builds trust. They performed a CT scan, and Dr. Vahedi took the time to thoroughly explain exactly what was going on and what the plan would be. He explained that the first step would be extracting the broken tooth, which had three roots. During the procedure, he carefully numbed the area. There was only minimal discomfort with the numbing, and after that, I truly did not feel any pain at all. I could feel some pressure and hear some crunching, but there was absolutely no pain. Throughout the entire process, I felt completely confident in Dr. Vahedi's technical expertise and knowledge. It was clear that I was in very capable hands, and sure enough, he did a magnificent job. His assistant, Heidi, was also wonderful--very attentive, reassuring, and kind. I was so relaxed during the procedure that they actually thought I had fallen asleep! That alone speaks volumes about how comfortable and stress-free the experience was. I will be returning in several months for the next steps of my implant process, and I am extremely grateful that Dr. Sam Vahedi is my oral surgeon. If anyone ever asks me who they should see for oral surgery, extractions, or implants, I will unconditionally and enthusiastically recommend Dr. Vahedi. Categorizing dentists in a less than favorable stack-ranking in my life of people to highly avoid - Dr. Balacky and his team made my wisdom tooth/coronectomy procedure shockingly smooth. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, reassuring, and incredibly professional. They clearly knew I was one of those patients (internally panicking but trying to act cool), and they handled it with consideration, patience, and zero judgment. Dr. Balacky explained everything clearly, laid out my options with rationale, and somehow made a fairly intimidating procedure feel manageable. The actual surgery was quick and far less dramatic than I had built it up to be in my head (the drugs obvi helped). His skill and calm demeanor (w/ a little bit of humor) made a huge difference. He even called me after the surgery to see how I was doing. My daughter had two exposure and bonding procedures, and he did an incredible job. She only needed a couple of pain medications on the first day, which exceeded our expectations. The entire staff made the process easy, comfortable, and reassuring from start to finish. They even suggested that my daughter bring her favorite plushie for extra comfort, which she absolutely loved! Although she was nervous at first, the team took the time to talk with her, made her feel at ease, and even let her watch a movie to help distract her during the procedure. Yesterday, I had an amazing experience while getting my teeth pulled. Dr. Kalasho did lovingly "scold" me, but it came from a place of genuine care and concern. I had no problems with the work done, or at least I though so.. In the spring of 2025, I went for a checkup, and Dr Kalasho was on leave and her replacement told me I developed another 2 cavities... just a few months after the original cavity was fixed. I couldnt believe my ears and I agreed to fix it. However, they had just closed the Hollywood office, and the closest location would have then been in Beverly Hills and I had no interest in visiting not even once. And I didnt have time to look for a new denist in the area. Fast forward to the spring 2026, I went to 2 different reputable denists in the area and they both said I had no cavity in that tooth.. I was in awe. Questions came flashing back.. Why every time did I have to sign the waiver 10x longer and more specific than at other denist's I have gone to? Why I was charged 5k for a crown that another denist said did not have that u-shape that teeth have to block most of the food in between the teeth? Was it as bad as I was made to believe? I don't know. But my suspicious makes sense. The office and the equipmennt that looked better than I have seen in Hollywood movies. Friendly chit-chat WITH LITERALLY EVERYONE in the office. Talking about families, sharing personal stories, laughing together. And then the friendly by the way reminder.. Do you want to prepay? Who gives any surgeon five stars???…read more I had four bony, impacted wisdom teeth and was suffering for months in pain. I went on yelp to find Dr. Lew and was a bit nervous because there were only 5 reviews, but they were all 5 star. Hmm. It certainly peaked my interest and frankly, at that point I'd had it with the pain. I had to throw in my fear towel and make the appointment. The thought of surgery in my 30's freaked me out because thankfully I haven't needed any. I made an appointment for the consult and the receptionist handled me with care and made me feel at ease. The following week I met with Dr. Lew, he has such a cool and informative demeanor which can also easy your fear. In the consult Dr. Lew went over x-rays, explained everything to me in thorough detail, gave me a print out of what to expect, told me complication possibilities and the like. We booked the surgery for 2 weeks out in Jan. A week before he called in the prescriptions to my closest drug store so I wouldn't have to bother with it after surgery. Surgery day: Scared to death of being put under, he had me laughing and then I was out. I woke up in a wheel chair and next my best friend drove me back to her house and I passed out. That first day was super duper hazy, but I kept being awakened to have my gauze removed, ice pack changed, take my Motrin and antibiotics. I ended up not even needing the real pain killer! YESSSS! I was so happy it was over and I was in less pain than I was when I started. I've had all of my post surgery check ups and I've made it!!! I am so grateful I was put in Dr. Lew's hands because with all of the complications that could've happened with me being at moderate risk. I would recommend this Dr. Lew and staff to all. I don't have insurance and that wasn't special enough to receive a serious discount! hahaha. So what I'm saying is basically, it's worth every penny, arm and leg!

I was in horrible pain the next day and was told by the office, the dr wouldn't call me since it was a Friday and he took a holiday. Post this surgery I needed another jaw surgery and got seen in Dallas and had a completely difference experience from front desk to dr visit. Dr. Rohin is an incredibly kind, intelligent and caring surgeon with gold standard bedside manner. I have always been really nervous going to the dentist, and having to remove 4 impacted wisdom teeth was terrifying to me. But Dr. Rohin explained the entire thing however detailed I wanted it, did a phone consult as well as went over it in person, talked me through when I was going under / cracking jokes the whole time to ease my mind, and his assistant (I think Tiffany? I can't remember) held my hand through the whole process. That same night I called because the hydrocodone was making me nauseous and guess who answered at 9PM, Dr. Rohin on the emergency line. Talked me through what I needed with all the patience in the world.. even after an extremely long day. Then called me a day later to make sure I was okay. A week later, I learned I wasn't flushing properly. I called in complaining of severe nerve pain in my jaw. They saw me within the hour I called and he did another incision to help alleviate the pain and show me how to flush properly... I cried like a little baby but rather than dismissing me or making me feel like I was overreacting, he went at MY speed. Comforted me, cracked jokes when appropriate... like I said, there is genuinely not enough nice things I could say about this practice. I will refer everyone I know to him.
