It's been 15 years with Dr. Canales and because of her I'm obsessed dental visits. I had so much dental trauma from other dentist before I landed at Dr. Canales office. She is so tender and always makes sure you are comfortable. The quality of dental care she provides is exceptional. Pro: Staff is very friendly. Dentist is also very friendly they have great appointment times. My appointment was at 6:30, giving me enough time to travel from work. This place came recommended from a friend who has been going there for years. Con: The dental work the dentist recommended was questionable! 6 months prior my daughter had X-rays at another dentist in S Pasadena . (I did not go back to this dentist because of their billing practices) They recommended 2 fillings. This dentist told me that my daughter had 13 cavities and 4 required work within the next few months. The others she would work on gradually. I decided to only do the cleaning and take my daughter to our dentist (before we moved 20 miles away). After a second opinion, it turns out my daughter only has 2 cavities. Thank goodness I did not let the dentist do unnecessary procedures on my 14 year old!!!! My advice, if the dentist is suggesting extensive work, get a second opinion and get copies of your records. I will gladly drive 20 miles to my old dentist in Tarzana where I know I can trust his diagnosis. What makes him so awesome, well he only orders X-rays 2-4years so he does not over expose my daughter to radiation. He is very honest in telling you what needs work, what you can live with... The two dentist I visited in South Pasadena wanted X-rays every 6 month. Why? Well that's how they make money. They also order extra procedures to make money. read more

I've been going to this dental office for many years and I'm very happy with the services rendered by Dr J Cadaoas. I still remember my first few visits with her when I was 10 years old. She recommended to have 8 teeth treated for preventive fillings (I guess they call it sealants) with some other dental work including my braces and thank goodness I'm still cavity free until now. She's been taking care of my teeth for the past 10 years. I'm so glad my parents brought me to this dental office. I love my smile. This has been my most wonderful experience in a dental office. The team is warm, efficient, friendly, and will give you precise informations and good treatment. My case was an emergency and they took me ON THE SAME DAY. Not only did they take care of my problem, but also worked with me on the financial aspect. The receptionist, Emilia, is a wonderful person, so warm and ready to help. She stayed over time that evening to help me. I had the best dentist experience here. I was deathly afraid of the dentist and to my amazement I'm no longer afraid. I had a routine cleaning and 2 fill replacements. My dentist took her time numbing my gums and was gentle during the whole procedure. Went there for a cleaning. Dental Xrays were done, scaling, cleaning and then a consultation. First arriving, the girl at the front desk Jocelyn, very professional and nice had me seated until called in. I was then called into have the xrays taken. When finished, was asked to go to the next room, a lady said, Im going to clean your teeth, call me Dr. Lopez. Was she being serious? Dental hygienist are not DDS., dental hygienist are not titled doctors. Lopez started to clean my teeth with the water pic. I asked if it is ok to use the metal tools to remove the tartar when cleaning. Lopez reply was that they only use these tools for deep cleaning sessions and also adding they use the water pik because the scraping will cause the wrist to have injury later in the future. I dont think she was pleased with my request. After the cleaning followed by a polishing. Nice. Then checking of the pockets. Lopez recommended that I get mouth guards because she sees grinding on the surface. I have never been told by my close friend who is a DDS (who I am going back to) that I grind my teeth. My experience here, Im not recommending this place. Thank you hygienist Lopez. Rethink please. On top of that. Was given the fluoride treatment at the end, then going to rinse out in the office restroom is not sanitary. read more

Where is the negative star button because this business will be getting a negative star from me.This office is very unprofessional constantly changing appt. Cancelling them last minute, you have a appointment to get retied for braces that should take about 20 min. At most get stuck in the office for more than 1hour to come out that the dentist wasn't the one that retied my son braces but her assitant. My son's treatment was originally set to last 1yr at the most 1 1/2 and we are at 1 yr 10 months with his braces because they been pushed back do to the constant cancelling and rescheduling of appt. I have never been to a dentist office with such bad service. If you're looking for a dentist office look else where it's not worth it go ahead and look for a good office where the dentist cares about his patients this office definitely doesn't make you feel like that all they care about is getting payed by your insurance company and well making sure they receive payment from you if theirs any out of pocket you need to cover. read more

They have taken such a great care of us... especially Dr. Josephine Cadaoas the staff is always nice and friendly and they are always making sure that you are very comfortable with all procedures done. My wife just had a root canal and the experience we positively wonderful. Painfree, supportive medical care and concerned, caring staff. My wife was terrified of dentists due to past experiences over the years. We were referred to Dr Cadaoas by a family friend, who said that she provided a comforting, and supportive service. I am so grateful for this referral. On the initial exam, Dr C explained what type of work needed to be done. She explained how it's always best to save the teeth whenever possible. My wife wanted her tooth extracted rather than face a root canal procedure. Dr C calmly explained the procedure and reassured my wife that it would not be a bad experience.
