Love this place. I've been coming here for YEARS. This is located close to my job so i was always getting my eyebrows done on my lunch break. Since I've been working remotely i haven't been able to make it down here. Today i DID and I'm sooooo glad i did. It's been a year+ since the last time i visited and my experience today was AMAZING. It's always been great but after not coming for a long time, it was sooo refreshing to see that they haven't changed. The ladies who work here are always so polite and gentle. It's a Thursday and i came around 12:15ish. There was only one person being serviced. It was completely empty. The AC was on HIGH which was so needed because today is really HOT. My eyebrows came out perfect. My eyebrow hairs are really thin so one wrong move and it looks like i have a bald spot. Thankfully the lady who took care of me did an amazing job. This is my third visit to this place and is on my list every time I will visit New your city since I live in Michigan state.. I always get a facial done from here and the results have always been very satisfying.. This time however I tried a couple of different things which also blew my mind with the hard work and dedication the staff had put in.. I had my first brazilian wax done this time around and thanks to Damini, she made the whole process so smooth and least scary that I will definitely go for it next time as well.. I also got a body massage and a hair spa done that also left me feeling very relaxed.. I heard the place is undergoing renovations early 2020 so I am anticipating a lot of upgrades in their current services which I was already fond of and now looking forward to my next NYC visit hopefully soon!! read more

First of all, they had me looking like snuffleupagus from sesame place. I live right across the street and would never come here again. I gave two stars because at least they seemed polite and welcoming...the first time. I came in there to get eyelash extensions and it was a waste of time. The cost was $50 and I was told it would last almost 2 weeks. Honey, I returned on a second visit the next day because half of the eyelashes came out. They weren't attached correctly and were loose. I called and let them know and they told me to come in. The ladies seemed annoyed that they had to do it over. Took forever to get my eyebrows Threaded. They were training a new worker and a 10/15 mins took 25 mins or so. And I said only threading eyebrows and they kept stopping to upsell me on other services. I said only eyebrows 4 times then they gave up. If you check in you get 10% off your check, I presented it when I was paying for this and they took a dollar off and was annoyed and irritated when I presented the coupon code from yelp check in. Won't be coming back here. Eyebrows looks okay, not the best and not to mention their chairs aren't long enough so you can't put your entire head back. They'll ask you to lean back but have your head upwards, imagine holding this for 20 mins or so and ask you if you're comfortable -.- read more

Great is an understatement, if I could give 20 stars I would. I get my eyebrows trended here and my sugaring Brazilian wax. I've been to a lot of waxing centers in my time but this is the best. So anyways, I feel a deep need to proclaim my absolute love of the work of the owner of the store because as a women, I LOVE learning about affordable salons that do what I need. Ladies.... Naaz, the owner and eyebrow stylists, is pure TALENT. I swear, you will not be displeased by her superb work. She has a photographic memory and literally creates a plan for how and how long it will take to get you to the eyebrows that you, with vivid detail, have told her you want. As in... YOU CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT. What a novel idea, no? Someone will actually listen to you if you express a desire for a look!! OR, she can give you tips based on your preferences and face frame. and then, every time you come back, she will remember it. I've come in this place a number of times and referred a bunch of people here as well. It doesn't hurt that it's extremely close to my office, but what's better is that they are effective and quick. I've had both threading and wax services for my face and nether regions. They are knowledgeable and provide great service. They have a frequent user card so be sure to get one because you will be back. They have different cards for different services. You do not need an appointment and can walk in. They are usually empty during lunch time so that is a great time to sneak in and out. It's not an upscale place or anything but they were very effective and thorough. Gotta leave another review because I really do love this place. Been coming here for about three years now, and it's the only place I will ever let anyone touch my eyebrows. It's literally completely out of the way from where I live and work, but extremely well-located literally right off the 1/2/3 14th St station, and I always make sure to come in every 2-3 weeks for my eyebrows. I've been coming here for a few years now to get my eyebrows threaded, but recently I decided to get a Brazilian wax. I expressed that chocolate wax works best for me as I am sensitive towards the honey. They were very helpful with explaining my options. Sudha actually took care of me and conducted the Brazilian. She made the process as seamless as she possibly (for someone who hadn't done it in nearly two years) could. She was swift only taking what felt like 15-20, which was perfect, bc I may not have been able to take much more. She also threaded my eyebrows and gave me the perfect shape. Came here on a whim on a Saturday morning pretty close to opening so the store was empty when I went in. The ladies in there were very nice. The threading on my eyebrows was very good, no complaints there. But, like others have mentioned they do try to up sell up several times. They did ask before they did anything. I normally go to a place in midtown for threading but needed something quick and nearby so I stumbled upon this place. While I am decently happy with my eyebrows, I will not come back due to the rude staff. I'm not sure if they know its unacceptable to tell me several times that I need my upper lip done and that I have a lot of blackheads. 1. I go elsewhere for a lip wax as I have very sensitive skin 2. I would never in a million years get a blackhead treatment from a hole in the wall threading place. Your attitude is not worth the upsell. Also there is a credit card minimum of $12 which is illegal. read more

I really enjoy coming here. They are efficient and do quality work even when they are busy. They offer a wide range of services in addition to waxing/threading. I like getting my eyebrows tinted. I have been here many times for the past few years, have done Brazilian waxing and eye brow threading. I rarely have to wait and they are pretty quick, I am generally happy with the execution of the service and the price is really sweet. The only thing that put me off from coming is that they sometimes try to sell other services like eyelash extension. I get it, as they are trying to be proactive, but somehow it can be quite annoying when it happens every time I go there. Hence I stop going unless I really have to. read more

Eyebrow Threading - Great! Eyebrow Tinting - Lasted 3 days! Eyelash Extension - Don't Do It! I've been getting eyelash extension for a really really long time. Eyelash extensions are 50-70 lashes MINIMUM per eye anywhere you go generally. I counted under 30 per eye and it was so spaced out. Basically it looked like I needed a refill. The lady's excuse was it's because I gad no lashes. This is VERY UNTRUE. I saw SO MANY of my natural hair that were not applied. And in under 24 hours, already 4 lashes fell off. Out of over 6 years of extension services, unfortunately it was the worst job I received for a high price. I did not see a quality difference in the lashes as they claimed either. I walked out so sad because I really wanted to like this place since they do great eyebrows and NAAZ cares so much for her customers. Sadly for me, I will have to go elsewhere who specializes in eyelash extensions mainly. I give 3 stars because for effort and the great eyebrow job. read more

This is my second review. I can't say enough great things about this place. Because this place is not close to my apartment, I have been going to my local place for eyebrows. But from now on, I am ONLY going to City Eyebrow Threading. I have never had a more PAIN FREE experience. And not only because they are so well trained and pay such close attention -- but today she noticed and corrected me. There was one spot that hurt a little. She noticed it hurt me. She stopped and told me "the reason that hurt was because you need to hold the skin tighter there." I did as she said, and the rest was pain free! I have never had someone really pay such close attention to my needs and my comfort -- and when they do, it just makes such a difference. Also today -- this was a first -- she noticed the hairs around my eye area (the peach fuzz just above the cheeks, where you never quite get to with shaving) and offered to get that for just another $7. A no brainier! I said yes and I'm glad I did. Again -- I am so glad she was paying attention to what I wanted -- AND what I didn't even realize I wanted yet! Lastly she offered to do some extractions around the nose (removal of blackheads and whiteheads.) I never would have thought to ask, but again, it was so quick, so affordable, and so painless. I will be asking for this regularly from now on! So there you go. A full day of beauty (and of treating myself to something that makes me feel great) only took a few minutes (probably 20 minutes total for all three services) and didn't break the bank!!! (All totaled, this cost me $25 plus I have a $10 tip because she was so worth it!) Again - I am done going anywhere else! After getting my eyebrows jacked up by numerous Threading Salons around Manhattan, I decided to give City Eyebrow Threading a try based on all of their positive yelp reviews. I was not disappointed and have come back many, many times since. One weekend this past winter (during the infamous Polar Vortex) I even traveled all the way from the UES because after so many bad experiences elsewhere, I'm wary about letting anywhere else in the city touch my brows. I find the inside to be clean and all of the women who work there do an amazing job. They are careful and take their time to make sure you leave with perfectly shaped brows. I do find if I go around lunch time there is less of a wait. I went after 6pm on a weeknight and waited about 30 mins with apprx. 8-10 people in front of me Also, for those of you who do not carry cash, they do have a credit card minimum of $12 (I think) - Eyebrow threading is $7. read more

OK... so first off this place is a not professional. All these reviews that rave about this place is clearly based on personally experience. Before I sat in (Henna's chair) the girl who did my eyebrows and I explained to her that I like a clean up and keep them thick and the last place I went to to messed it up so I had to wait 3 weeks to let them grow in. Which I did, I told Henna that and then some older lady who was threading a woman sitting next to me was explaining to to her how to do it. So then I ask the older lady, should I just wait for you to do it? You seem like you know what you are talking about... and she said no she can do it she just does not speak english, yet she was asking if I want to do a Brazilian waxing when she was cashing me out and they charge you a Dollar tax if I use my debit which was a rip off and she knew how to talk english then. Any how the older lady went on about how I need to let them grow in and demanded that I need to just leave it them alone yet I did not like the shape nor the service and I told her I cam in with a full set of eyebrows and directed them how I want it and still she was telling no no you have to let it grow in and come back to her in 3 weeks and in 2 sittings she will have the perfect. Not so perfect the first time won't be perfect the second or third. Bottom line stay away from this place they will not do as you say and it smells like feet. Sorry I am not a happy customer and I waited 10 mins for her to my eyebrows, so take it from me who is a very picky person when it comes to my eyebrows hence writing this long review. read more

I left one awful place where the staff was incredibly rude (Perfect Brown) only a few blocks west and walk to this amazing place where I was greeted with a smile and immediate care. BRING CASH. I normally pay $7-10 for a thread but ended up walking out paying $17. Reason? It's a $12 minimum for a card. I said to just charge me $12 and give the woman who did my brows the difference. The manager is like "I don't want to waste your money, how about pay for one thread now and another one and we'll give you a credit" So $14 for two threads plus $1.00 tax plus $2.00 tip. (The woman who did my thread should've just taken the $12 offer) Could've been avoided if I paid cash. Oh well. They did a good job though. Probably will go back to my regular place.
