Horrific Scar I was convinced to wax my chin although there were only a few hairs. I had never done it so when it hurt awfully bad I thought it was just virgin skin. When I got home I realized they full took my skin off. I have horrible scar on my face. They didn't even pick up the phone the next day. I've never seen a result like this from a professional waxer. The owner rushed through the service, was very harsh on my skin, and left a noticeable red mark on cheek and lots of irritation. I will never be coming back here again. Please be aware and think twice before going here as the owner takes her own anger/frustration from her personal life out on customers. Does not even deserve a tip nor to be running the store. When I say I will never let another person touch my eyebrows except the MAGICAL woman who works at this establishment... so help me God, I mean it! Even my boyfriend goes here!!! In fact, one time I did make the mistake of getting my eyebrows done elsewhere.... and I literally cried on the train allllll the way to Unique Shape, so they could fix the damage that was done. And, they did so with ease! I was so, so grateful for their patience and help. Went in only to get eyebrows threaded, then was suggested to do a series of add-ons (chin, cheekbones, etc) while I was still lying on the chair. I naively agreed thinking they were complimentary or would be relatively inexpensive as the eyebrow threading was cheap (I confirmed the price on the phone before going in). The lady kept pushing me to agree to thread more hair off my face and I eventually stopped agreeing to do any more because I thought it was getting ridiculous. To emphasize, she did not disclose the prices of any of these and made me make decisions very quickly because she was already hovering the string over a specific part of my face while asking. Paid with credit card at the register (my mistake) and the lady did not disclose the price verbally or show it on the payment screen (again, my mistake for not asking). I checked my bank account statement after leaving the salon and saw that she charged $50 when I only requested a $15 service. Service was not good either; my $7 threading salon at home does a far better job. Was going to make this my new default salon as it's close to my office but will need to look elsewhere for now. read more

I came here to get my eyebrows threaded after 2 years of some DIY upkeep. It isn't far from my job, so I had high hopes. It'd be perfect if I found a new location I could head to on lunch breaks. When I went in at about 1pm or so, there was no wait. I was able get it done immediately. The woman who did my eyebrows was so fast! And she did an excellent job. I needed to get my brows shaped badly (even though my husband never notices a difference LOL). I was pleased with the end result. I can only speak for their eyebrow threading since that's the only service I've had by them. So on the coldest day of the year their heater blows, not good. Either way I really, really needed my eyebrows done so I wrapped my scarf a little tighter and dealt with the lack of heat. They do a good job every time I go and they are really affordable ($7) which is surprising since its located in such a touristy part of town. I'm a little surprised by some of the bad reviews (I'm been coming here for over a year and has never had an issue). Anyway give them a try and judge for yourself. Also they give you a "reward card". First time, Laxmi did my eyebrows and I loved them. She took her time and was gentle. My eyebrows hadn't looked so good in a very long time. Second time, I saw Laxmi again. I loved my eyebrows once again. I went back today, however, Laxmi was off. Although I was hesitant, I decided to give another lady a try. WORST MISTAKE!!!! This lady completely messed up my eyebrows which Laxmi had perfected. She took no more than 2 minutes; I'm not even exaggerating. She was so rough. She even left me a mark on the bridge of my nose from how careless she was. My eyebrows are now uneven. I personally like my eyebrows on the fuller side, but she left one side way too thin. I left the place and inspected my face once again. I was horrified. I called the place and spoke to the manager, Nikki, who said I could come back to get them fixed by Laxmi. That's exactly what I'll do first thing tomorrow morning. read more
