The…read morenext morning after the passing of my Mother in Law (Paula Diaz/R.I.P.) the owner had the cemetery set up, the Catholic Church arranged(not our first choice due to covid-19 but was able to get 2nd choice) many churches not doing funerals due to Covid-19, all the vehicles needed, prayer cards ordered for day of funeral, and all complete with no worries. D'Bari was extremely beautiful, clean, and newly decorated. D'Bari Funeral home was the 4th funeral home we called because the funeral by our homes never answered or returned our phone calls but D'Bari Funeral Home answered and instructed us on every format to be done prior to coming to them. One note within 15 minutes of releasing out Mom to the funeral home(D'Bari) they were there professionally dressed and polite(caring) and took her straight to the funeral home. The day of the viewing(one day). It was set up beautifully and Mom looked beautiful and brought tears to us all. The owners, director, drivers and pallbearers formed a circle and did prayers with us before going to the cemetery it was really special, they were all professional. helpful, and caring. My dad passed away suddenly and my sister and I didn't think we'd be able to gather our wits and find the strength to plan a funeral service that would properly honor him. But from the very first meeting with Vito, and throughout the entire process - the O'Shea team went above and beyond to support and guide us with the utmost professionalism, patience, and compassion. In addition to the kindhearted and attentive staff, the facilities were beautiful, spacious and immaculate - and even included thoughtfully placed tissues, hand sanitizers, and water bottles. There were plenty of tables for flowers and picture frames, as well as 2 large screens for picture slide shows. Most importantly, my dad was treated with incredible dignity and respect. The makeup and preparation on my dad was wonderful - he looked so natural and at peace. And it was very important for us that the casket remain open at all times, which Vito made sure happened. Vito and Kevin also made a point of being at the church service and ensuring that everything went smoothly. We were extremely moved and grateful when Vito stopped the hearse (as we were following it on the way to church) and placed 3 roses on the front stoop of my parents' home. I see a couple of negative reviews on here saying that the staff wasn't professional or no one picked up the phone, other nonsense and I have to say this was NOT my experience at all and we've been going to the funeral home for years with the same funeral director (Tom Roemmelt). The staff is extremely accommodating. For our most recent funeral, our beloved Auntie Ro loved playing the lottery. And we mentioned we wanted to have some sort of floral arrangement that would somehow honor that. Tom says "let me see what I can do." He calls up the florist, explains to them the situation, and a few seconds later he hangs up and looks at me and my wife and says "It's done." And sure enough, the arrangement came out BEAUTIFULLY, and everyone who came to the service loved it. And it provided quite a few smiles on such a dark and sad day. Also our beloved Auntie Ro was 95, and Janitza Soto made her look absolutely wonderful. They dyed her hair *exactly* the way she liked it and did her makeup flawlessly. Rose would have loved it. They took every single instruction and request we gave them and executed it perfectly right down to the pink rosary we gave them to have Auntie Ro was holding in her hands. They never once rushed us. Or pressured us. And they were always at all times professional, courteous and respectful. Tom even gave me his personal cell number to contact him directly no matter what time of day or night. The entire process and setting made it easier for those who had to make the arrangements and those who attended the wake less stressful. There's a small private parking lot next to the funeral home.
