Been going here for the past 3 years, and this location is right in downtown Morristown. I have to say that Pasquale is the man. The guy really knows what he is doing, is meticulous with his precision and listens to what you ask for which is pretty much all you can want in a barber. You can tell he cares about his clients. Haven't tried too many of the others, but staff is generally helpful from what I've observed. City Image uses an online booking system, Schedulicity I think it's called and is fairly easy to book and cancel/reschedule. You might need to book slightly in advance for appointments but the barbers usually have several openings so it isn't too hard to get your preferred barber. Parking can be a little tricky as with most places in this area. There's a lot in the back up the hill you can park at for a short time but tends to get full pretty quickly. The pricing is steep, and is more than I would expect to pay for a standard haircut. This location has also raised their prices a few times over last couple years, which I understand given the crazy inflation we've been having and it does cost a lot if you want to look good, but still a bit steeper than I'm comfortable with. On top of being extremely skilled and easy to talk to, he also went out of his way to call me when I accidentally left my hat behind at the shop. This is the best barber shop in morristown with the best people in morristown. I recently had a nightmare haircut experience at a different business so I drove to City Image and they took me in with open arms, shared some jokes with me and offered to help fix my haircut. Which Peter did a great job doing. He salvaged a pretty horrible haircut and turned it into something that looks good!! The other barbers also offered some insights into how to fix me up and I'm sure they all could have done the job as well. The business is very clean, relaxing and a great atmosphere for a haircut. What started off as a pretty bad day and bad haircut turned into finding the barbershop I will be going to from now on and people taking the time to fix me up. It was my first time going here and I will definitely be back. I was a walk-in and was greeted right away with a handshake by Peter. He then introduced me to all three of the other barbers working. Extremely respectful group. Throughout the haircut, he engaged in small talk with me about movies & weekend plans etc. As for the haircut, I asked for a low-skin fade and he knew exactly what I wanted. He was very precise and was in absolutely no rush which shows he truly cares about his work. Ended up looking like a great cut! The place was clean and they continued to clean throughout giving others haircuts. This will definitely be my go-to spot from now on and I highly recommend others trying it out! read more

I'll give it that the place is clean, but besides that, I was very disappointed by the haircut provided by the apprentice Danny. He was constantly asking the other barber questions and was provided the wrong information as he gave me a complete buzz cut. Probably one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. I called the next day to give feedback and the owner practically brushed it off. Just want to give a heads up, do not go to the apprentice if you are going there. He will DESTROY your hair. The worst part is when you are getting your haircut there you are facing the wall where people sit so you have no idea how your haircut is going to come out until after it's done. Finally found a a solid barbershop in the area! This shop is always filled with energy and good vibes. I'd suggest making an appointment ahead of time but I've had success as a walk-in. Fantastic haircut, great atmosphere and would recommend

I was visiting family before a wedding and came here to get haircut. I made the appointment the night before online with Pasquale through schedulicity, which was simple enough. I came in the next morning at 10am for my haircut and he's there waiting for me, perfect. I explain to him what I want and then for the next hour he cut my hair and trimmed my beard. He did a great job and was super friendly. It was interesting to hear that the barber's in this shop participate in Continuing Education, i.e. they periodically will go to class for 2-3 hours to learn new techniques, hear industry experience, or demonstrate something themselves. As a customer, this is something I value greatly because it demonstrates a passion to their work. When I'm back visiting family, I'm sure I'll get my haircut here again. read more

Hi, I just wanted to tell you my experience going to this place: I have been there before and I got a haircut by the owner which I think he does a great job, clarifying that I think the new guy he hired isn't too good I wanted an specific haircut which I showed him the pictures of a few option I had I thought he got the idea but he didn't, when I came to the place it wasn't busy at all it was just me so he had a lot of time to do a great job but Instead of taking the time he rushed doing my haircut in exactly 23 mins. Went to the big guy with tattoos. I asked for a shape-up; the most simple of haircuts. It's literally just following a line. Of course, the guy completely messes it up. He pushed my hair line back significantly, one side of my sideburns were crooked compared to the other, etc. The ambiance of the place was great, which is what led me to walking in there. But, it's clear that some of their barbers are a bunch of amateurs. Will never go back here nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. Just wanted to note that I don't have any ties to this place or know anyone here personally. Just walked in over a month ago and had a great experience. Looking at the reviews, this character "Frank B" giving a poor review because they didn't quote you price? Talk about high maintenance...Pretty sure most places, depending on what you want done, have different a la carte pricing. Didn't know Californians were so damn diva and needed pampering even on prices (insert Michael Jordan cry face). Anyway on to a real review with credibility with actual experience from the stylists. I normally went to one person and use to drive 20 min away. She is a great stylist and will still go to her on occasion but I need something local. I visited numerous salons and barbers in the Morristown and outer Morristown area, some were okay, but most didn't just fit what I wanted. I saw this new place pop up when I was just scrolling through yelp and decided to give it a try. First impression, okay not the cleanest place but it's a barber shop, there's going to be hair everywhere. However, I sat down with Dario (not the owner). I explained what I was looking for and I wanted something new so I just wanted to try out a few things. He said okay and he would work with me. Dario has worked at salons in the past so he has that added experience. He is great with fades and knows how to manage the top to what ever hairstyle you choose. He's "sharp" =/ with the straight edge and great with the scissors. I heard just as good if not better things from the owners skill set. However, I like Dario and I'll stick with him for now....Give this place a chance. Be prepared, cash only...but it cost me $20 when I use to pay $30 so it's a win/win for me. read more
