That was all he said, and yes, the omelet wasn't made according to the menu's description, which wasn't a huge deal - it just meant waiting while the rest of the table finished their mediocre breakfasts. I really wanted a wedge salad, so I ordered takeout through City Lines (for the first time!) I have been to the restaurant to dine in just one time but this review is about my takeout experience. I ordered the wedge salad adding steak, which was an up-charge of $7. The GOOD: Boy oh boy, my wedge salad was incredible! Super yummy! The dressing (blue cheese) seemed like it was homemade... And that was a good thing! Like I've never had blue cheese that tasted so good! The lettuce was fresh! Lots of blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes and onions!!! It was everything that a wedge salad should be!!!! Also the restaurant wasn't busy at all and when I arrived, the hostess was very polite and grabbed my carryout order quickly! The BAD: The steak addition! My steak was so extremely chewy... And full of fat! Like I had to end up tossing it because I couldn't cut it, not even with a steak knife! I really wanted some protein on my wedge salad and was really looking forward to the added steak! I have been going to City Lines since it opened at least once a month, sometimes more. What amazes me is their constant change of menu items. Every thing is amazing! Today, we had small plates of Chicken Pot Pie, Beef and Goat Cheese and a Buffalo Chicken egg roll - all three were completely amazing! My favorite is the Sliders with a side of tater tots. We tried this place for lunch for the first time despite the fact that we live about 4 miles from them. Wish we tried it sooner. I got the special which was cheesy meatball sliders ... they were as expected even a little better. I also got the cauliflower side dish which was excellent. Took half home to enjoy as a side dish with a steak I threw on the grill! My husband got some sort of Mexican burger and said it was excellent. We've visited this location TWICE this year so far. Just left from brunch, Ryan was our server today. We had prompt greeting from Ryan, upon sitting. I ordered the 1/2 Mimosa Pitcher, stuffed French Toast (my stuffing on the side), scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon. My sons ordered the chicken & waffle and fiancé eggs Benedict breakfast. We ALL were very pleased with how fast and fresh the food and drinks came out. Ryan was VERY tentative, accommodating and professional. The restaurant was clean and the hosts were welcoming, as our first visit. The Manager came by as well, to check I'd we were doing well. The first time we visited, a manager did the SAME! Happened to be in the neighborhood this weekend and was looking for a quick bite to eat that was not fast food. Came across this establishment and was pleasantly surprised. Walked in and was greeted warmly! I sat outside because it was a nice breeze it was sunny plus they had old-school R&B music playing which just felt soothing to the soul! The waiter was so nice and so knowledgeable of the menu he tackled any questions asked. Another gentleman came out to speak with us and he was the nephew of the owner. He was so warm and so friendly and the food was delicious! All safety precautions were being held! It was a pleasant surprise running into this great establishment and I'm glad I did! Service was superb...5/5! We went around 3pm, which was not busy at all so our server was very attentive. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. There wasn't really anything special about the food...just your typical bar food. The Goat Cheese Fritters completely missed the mark. The batter was bland and could have used some sort of seasoning. The dipping sauce was odd...it was a Thai chili sauce that did not pair well with the goat cheese. The sauce was definitely not pepper jelly. I ordered the Chicken Vagabond, which all of the ingredients listed on the menu sounded great and the presentation looked even better; but it didn't taste as good as it looked. The chicken was dry and very bland. The pimento cheese had an odd "packaged" taste. The pretzel bun was so thick that you couldn't even pick up the sandwich and bite into it. But I see why they used the pretzel bun...it's a messy sandwich, drenched in sauce. The bacon jam was decent but it wasn't prominent in the sandwich. I upgraded my side to the mac and cheese...again okay but nothing special. My husband ordered the Dacula Cheesesteak with ribeye and he seemed to enjoy his food.  The ambiance seems friendly, like your neighborhood spot. They have a stack of games for you to play with. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with TVs around the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and the Fall decor made it cozy. I wouldn't come back but I would recommend it if you're looking for a place to eat in Dacula. read more

Saturday brunch (11/12/22) was passable. Nothing that blew us out of the water, although the Pigs in a Blanket were pretty solid. Chicken biscuits were decent, although it tastes like the frying oil is aged. Breakfast burger was ok... was too well done based on my order of "medium". Service was good. We opted to return for dinner the following Friday. Friday dinner (11/18/22) was a train wreck, even though the restaurant was barely 1/2 full. Thirty minutes to order drinks and appetizer of nacho chips and cheese, another hour before our dinner landed, and thirty minutes to get the check. The food was merely "ok". Pecan pie was great. I could have trekked to Dairy Queen to get our refills, and it would've been faster. We had two refills the entirety of our visit. Service was not good, took about 2 1/4 hours to get a basic appetizer, basic dinner (and fries were well under-cooked and mushy), and a pre-made slice of pecan pie. I am not sure I can justify a return visit. read more

The chef came out to let my husband know he would fix the grits he had ordered (they were dry), and he fixed them right away. I eat plant based and did not want carbs, so they accommodated me and I was able to order exactly what I wanted. We will try them again to try some other things. The food was pretty good at this place. It felt like a neighborhood place. I think it had games to play at the bar which is fun! They have daily themes and specials which is nice. The food was pretty good and the price was not too bad. The pasta I ordered was overcooked so the noodle kept breaking apart. I think they might just need to work on their food presentation. My husband got boneless wings and it was very small pieces and on a tin plate so it didn't look appetizing. It was shocked a bit with their plating and food presentation. But the taste wasn't too bad so I'm still giving 3 stars. I think I would like to give them another try read more

I had a ladies networking brunch here the first time I visited and the next visit it was a date night with my hubby and I. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The pitcher mimosas is where it's at for brunch! You save some dollars buying the pitcher and have more to drink to enjoy. Loved the bacon. Also for dinner I got the BBLT sandwich & it was satisfying. The multigrain bread was buttered with a bacon jam spread with the right amount of bacon on the sandwich which was great. We are very fortunate to have this foodie destination in our back yard! Ten family and friends together at this new destination. Food was amazing. Great talk with the owner and the chef. Much work has been done to incorporate outside seating and indoor and outdoor areas that can be reserved for a group get together/team celebrations. Be prepared for the owner and the chef to touch your table and ask for feedback, or at least that was our experience. I look forward to the specials and theme nights that will be offered in the future. We can even take our dog for outside seating. A must do for foodies! They had me at goat cheese, but don't stop at that. My special burger was amazing. read more

We enjoyed our brunch today at City Lines. The menu had a good variety of items all starting at $10 a plate. We enjoyed mimosas by the pitcher. Food was thoughtfully prepared. As we had the whole family for mom's day, or large party was served well by the bartender. He did a great job. Coming in the door took way to long to be greeted and there's no one in there.Chicken or shrimp pasta tasted more oily and buttery, shrimp over cooked and I found celery in the pasta.The garlic bread was jus toast. The side salad was small bed of spinach a lot of onions and cheese.I ordered a drink I did not like they said they couldn't take us back and replace it. My water had something red in it he "replaced" it by really pouring the water out n putting more in it. Didn't clean the table off as we finished our dishes. Came here on a Sunday for some brunchie brunch and mimosas. Sat on the patio, only 2 other tables out there. Really clean, social distancing in effect and the server was great. Manager even checked on us a couple of times. We split a few things. Don't judge :D The maple bacon app with peanut butter- the bacon was divine. The peanut butter is a great idea and in no way ruined the bacon, but it didn't really add anything either The monte cristo sandwich was amazing. Loved the pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The pimento deviled eggs in a sausage cup was a bit overwhelming. Both tasted great, but the sausage cups were so big and just kind of left a greasy pit in my stomach. If there weren't as much sausage, I think I would've liked it more. Made for a great presentation though. Lastly, I ordered a few wings, cause why not? The wings were amazing. This was a pretty good experience! Our waiter was super attentive, but was not overbearing on making sure we were cared for. For dinner my husband had the creamy lemon Parmesan chicken with a Caesar salad, and mashed potatoes. It also came with a roll. The roll was not great, and it seemed that it had almost been burnt. However my husband was thrilled to discover that the Caesar dressing they serve was not the creamy kind as he is not a big fan of creamy dressings. The chicken was cooked well, but it was a little one note for him, especially as there were two. He would have preferred one breast, and another side, but that is just him. You could tell that the mashed potatoes were real potatoes, although they were swimming in butter. Still, they were good. I had the salmon with a house salad, and the Mac and cheese. I did not even try my roll because I could tell it was over baked. My salad was fine, but I wish I had known it had res onions in it as I don't like raw red onions. I was mostly able to pick them out though. And eat the salad. My salmon was okay. The skin was to crispy making it hard to eat, and it said that it came with a maple paprika glaze, but I could never taste the paprika, and only tasted the maple in one bite. It just tasted like salmon, which is is fine, but if I am paying $24 for an entree I want to taste the flavors you claim on your menu. The Mac and cheese was one of the better restaurant Mac and cheeses that I have had though it could have used more a cheesy flavor. On to dessert. My husband had the cheesecakes with strawberries and basil. He did not like the bail added in the strawberries. He thought it was a good concept, but made for a poor dish. He finished the cheesecake by removing the strawberry topping from the top. I had the triple chocolate cake with chocolate and caramel sauce. The cake was super moist and tender, but for some reason tasted of cherries which I really don't like it. I ate half of it. The only think I can think is that the caramel sauce broke as it was not a good color, and rather watery. They have a big hand sanitizer bottle at the host stand and seemed to be doing a good job of spacing people out, and not using all their table. However there was no kind of protection between booths, temporary or otherwise. No menus. You use a QR code to pull up the menu on your phone. The price was a little shocking considering what we ordered (salmon and chicken), and mine rang up at $24 when the menu said it was $22. I assume the $2 difference is because the Mac and cheese is considered a "premium" side. Still....$68 for a place that is a "bar and grill" and not a steakhouse (though they do serve steak) seems a bit much to me. No matter how upscale they may be. All in all it was not a bad experience, and we will be back again, just maybe not too often. read more

This place has the appearance of a sports bar (and it can certainly be that) but their menu is extensive and their food is excellent. They also have brunch on Sundays that is downright fancy. So don't discount City Lines because it has "bar" in the name. They can definitely hold their own as a restaurant on food alone. 'Bacon Slab' appetizer was 1 maybe 2 slices if bacon served cut up. $10 for 2 slices of bacon with a teaspoon of fake maple syrup drizzled on the plat. Fries served cold with entree #1. Upcharge for Mac n Cheese side was ridiculous, it was served cold in a 2"x2"x2" container, no flavor and to know that I paid a $2 upcharge is disgusting. Entree #2 was a 'cheese steak' that was maybe 3oz of beef if i'm being generous, served with a single slice of cheese. I'm not shocked that we were 2 of 6 people in the entire place on a Saturday night at 8pm. Avoid this place if you're looking for good food or quality. read more

Came here today with a few friends for the first time. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was so good. I am picky when it comes to chicken salad because it can get slimy or can lack flavor but this was fantastic. The fries were forgettable however. I think they were understaffed so it did take awhile to get what we asked for but they were very nice nonetheless. I'd definitely come back to try more things! read more
