Talk about reverse racism. I'm asian, my friend is white. Was there for 35 mins waiting to order. Got my coffee and was totally ignored for the next 30 minutes. A black couple was sat and they even got to order by our waiter. Then another black couple was sat right behind us and again our waiter took their order. While we sat right there watching. Wish I had change, because he didn't deserve it. I left $10 for my coffee and honey which $6. And walked out. This is not the first time this has happened. We've gone there several times. Pretty good! Lawrenceville has a lot of great food places and this used to be one of my favorites to return to. Food came out quick and warm, just the right temperature to eat right away. My partner enjoyed a chicken parm sandwich, and I the classic omelette breakfast. Unfortunately, this place has become very pricey over the years with the food quality staying the same which is why I rated it lower. Service was great! We stopped in here on a Saturday evening while attempting to attend the Christkindl Christmas Market in town. Because the market is being held this year (2025) in a park that comes off this main strip, the food and beverage businesses on the main strip were open for business and getting lots of foot traffic. We decided to come to PTC for dinner after taking one spin through the Christmas market and seeing how long all of the lines were for the different vendors. It was a good call, because we were able to come in and be seated right away. Now, PTC is a breakfast and brunch restaurant, so they typically are not open in the evening. However, this means that we got to explore breakfast brunch items at dinner time. The service was excellent. Our waitress was bubbly and engaging, and the biggest advocate for PTC. We probably ended up ordering more food than we would have. Just thanks to her engagement. We started with lattes - a gingerbread and a cookie butter, both with oat milk. They were only five dollars each and they were huge. That said, I felt that my cookie butter latte could've used a little more cookie flavor. I would try something different in the latte department next time. And, interestingly, enough, the latte flavors change seasonally so there would definitely be something different to try next time. For "dinner" my husband had French toast and chicken tenders. The tenders were ordered à la carte. He and the little ones devoured the French toast, and he thought the chicken tenders were made well but a little too thick. I had a veggie omelette with cheese added. Of the offered sides, I chose the home fries and a biscuit. Honestly, all of the food I ordered was "just OK" for me. We also ordered s'mores pancakes for our little ones to split. As one might imagine, there was a little complaint about pancakes, drizzled with chocolate and topped with melting marshmallows plus served with a side of syrup. A local friend takes visitors here and recommended I try it. Now I know why it's a favorite! I ordered the chicken and sweet potato waffle. Yes, sweet potato. I'm a big fan! Someone clearly thought very carefully about the combination of sweet and savory. They blend perfectly with the cinnamon butter, juicy chicken tenders, and a richly flavorful and delightful sweet potato waffle. Bravo! Came early in the morning before the rush out which btw it does get pretty busy, wait time was solid, not too long, reasonable time. We got to choose our booth which i'm assuming is how it usually is when it's not so busy. Feels very welcoming when walking in. Now onto my favorite part. Some friends and I stopped by Saturday morning. We put our name on the list at 11:04am and were told 15-30 mins. We didn't get seated until 11:55am. Mind you we were only a party of 3. The host definitely needs more training if she is to remain in this position because the amount of people that walked in and were seated before us was not okay. Our initial experience here was not good especially running on hangry emotions, however the issue was resolved thanks to our very kind waitress Kim and the manager Trey. We all ordered the chicken & waffles, 2 sweet potato waffles and 1 regular. 10/10 on the food. We also ordered coffee, the iced coffee was warm making it hard to enjoy. The hot coffee was fine, straight forward. The food along with the kindness of the waitress and manager out weighed anything else. I would love to give this place another attempt for sure. read more

The service was great and the atmosphere was eclectic-comfortable. The menu offered a very good selection of traditional and creative dishes. My wife had the sweet potato waffles and chicken, I had the spicy cheeseburger omelet. The chicken had a great crunch, very juicy and tender. The waffle was fluffy and flavorful. (Only got one bite.. she was reluctant to share... Lol) Back to my selection - I was almost hesitant on the "spicy" part but decided to give it a try... glad I did... it was fluffy well balanced with fresh jalapeño & pepper jack cheese ..not at all overbearing. The potato's were good but a little too soft for me, I like a little more crunch when it comes to skin-on country potato's. I've always wanted to try this place after seeing it on social medias and finally got to with my co-workers. Big spacious restaurant with plenty of parking on the side streets and lots, many staff to handle all the guests, friendly service, and vast array of menu to choose from. Honestly, not worth it at all. The wait was ridiculous and the food and drinks were very expensive. It was basic food for a really high price (ex. It's always a treat to go to a weekend breakfast at The Peachtree Cafe. This morning was a special treat because we only had to wait about 5-10 minutes. We were a party of four, and were seated and offered coffee and water promptly. Items ordered at our table included the chocolate chip pancakes, the corned beef hash, scrambled eggs with onions and peppers, scrambled eggs with cheese, and a mediterranean omelet. The corned beef hash is always grilled to perfection, the pancakes fluffy and the atmosphere is bright and enjoyable. There were definitely bright spots during our visit, but I wouldn't return. As another Yelper mentioned, many of the reviews are spot on. A friend and I visited on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy (as expected), and there was a 35 minute wait. Totally understandable--no problem. The hostess even gave everyone menus while waiting and thanked us for our patience. Then, out of nowhere, an employee comes out into the middle of the restaurant and begins shouting loudly, "Thank you so much for your patience. As you can see, we're really popular, so it's worth the wait. We're just waiting for tables to open up, so we can seat you'll soon." While well-intended, this struck me as odd. It was definitely a cue for the patrons who were dining to get moving. Awkward. Once seated, our waitress was kind and attentive. We started with coffee. As mentioned by another reviewer, it was watered down. My friend enjoyed her shrimp and grits. My philly sandwich was okay. Near the end of our meal, the same employee emerged, shouting and demanding we all sing happy birthday to a guest and that we'd receive 5% of our tabs for doing so. Not sure if that happened as we had already paid. The shouting was a lot for brunch. The dealbreaker for me came when the same employee visited our table not to ask about our experience but to loudly tell us that "we didn't have to leave the restaurant, but he needed the table." At this, I was appalled. I understand that restaurants are busy, but I thought this lacked tact. Maybe the restaurant should impose dining limitations to make guest aware of limits on being seated. Cute little brunch spot in downtown Lawrenceville! I went Sunday around noon and there was an hour and half wait. The place was beyond poppin which made me excited to try the food. The vibes and service here were a 10/10, some of the sweetest people ever! We ordered a Mediterranean omelette and the seasonal cookie butter latte. The omelette comes with 2 sides so I got the home potatoes and a biscuit. The omelette lacked salt, but the potatoes were beyond salty. The cookie butter latte was SO good, I would highly recommend ordering this hot. It was creamy, hot and the perfect blend of sugary cookie flavor and coffee. The perfect side for this meal. Ambiance is pleasant and offers both indoor and outdoor seating; they were quick to seat us (9AM, quiet morning) and we were allowed to choose between a busier setting or a more quiet booth. They have their seasonal drinks advertised on a chalkboard upfront, and the server was able to speak on all of them when asked, noting which drinks made good photo opportunities. At his recommendation, I got their autumnal pumpkin praline latte and my friend got an earl grey hot chocolate. He said the latte typically comes creme brulee style, but that must be reserved for the cold variation of the coffees. It was delicious, not a super strong pumpkin praline flavor but a decent latte that wasn't too bitter or too sweet. The earl grey hot chocolate was delicious from the tea spices, but it came out room temperature and only got colder from the whipped cream topping. No notes on the benedict and french toast -- both were decent. The benedict is served over an english muffin with two slices of canadian bacon, while the plain french toast comes with cinnamon butter and syrup on the side. I got my benedict with a side of house fries, which are less "fries" and more chopped oven-roasted potatoes. 4/5 due to the earl grey lukewarm chocolate, but I'd go back. read more

First time visiting... And I must say I really wanted to enjoy it, but it was not the best! Intentionally went during the week, during the day, the restaurant was not busy at all. However, the service was very lackluster! We were served by the manager, per his name tag. Again, the place was not crowded, but the employees just seem to be standing around, chatting with each other, paying no attention to the guest! We had to track down our server.(the manager!), to ask for more water and the check. My food was even worse! I ordered a scramble with over easy eggs. Everything from the egg to the potatoes were overcooked! The cheese was nonexistent! I didn't want to send the item back, but I had to! I had taken two bites. Rather than him preparing the dish over, he simply took the egg off and brought me back another over easy egg on a saucer! The little bit of cheese that was on the dish, was on the original egg! So that meant when he took the egg away, and brought a new one... I literally had no cheese on my meal. Really, really disappointed in this experience... The Peachtree Cafe is a nice gem inside downtown Lawrencville. This was my first time and it did not disappoint.It is located next to really nice townhomes/apartments , scenic area . It offers outside seating with a large umbrella for the sunny days and inside seating as well. The service was pretty quick and efficient and the server Lolli I think was her name was so sweet and personable. They offer water of course as well as coffee , orange juice and I think apple juice . I had the sweet potato waffle with a side of eggs . I was sort of skeptical about the sweet potato's waffle and how they could encompassed a sweet potato taste with waffle texture but they hit the mark perfect ! It is light , with a waffle texture but the taste of a sweet potato. The cinnamon topping is perfect as well , not too sweet and a perfect touch . Honestly I tried it with the syrup and without and either way you can't go wrong . The shrimp and grits were soooo good . The shrimp are a good size and very well cooked . They have a good bite to them . The grits are cooked well and the mushroom and bacon add a good texture to the bite . On the side they also give you a garlic bread . Not going to lie I kinda side eyed it cause I thought it was hard but it is actually a nice soft texture. Partnered well with the grits . If you're hungry the shrimp and grits are a good filling dish . The waffle is light so not as filling but could add sides such as eggs and bacon to make it a meal. The price of the meals were reasonable. It was my husband and I and between the both of us it was about 50 dollars with tip. I am already planning my trip back with my homegirl . The service was on point as all the staff was very kind to me, although wait times can skyrocket if you are late or picky when choosing seats. The ambiance and everything is generally great as the walls, floor, and windows are all clean with minimal scratches or dirt. Overall five star place, would recommend! read more
