I went to City Mattress to buy an XL twin adjustable bed for my mom who was moving into an assisted living facility. The entire transaction was so easy. Sam (who I believe is the store manager) helped me pick out the right adjustable frame and a good mattress to go with it. Delivery was a cinch. They gave me a delivery window the night before and then texted me 10 minutes before arrival. By the time I drove 5 minutes to my mom's place, they had already set everything up. Mom says her mattress is the most comfortable mattress she's ever had and I have to agree. (We got the Serta Icomfort Foam Cf2000 Firm Mattress.) More than two months later, my mom decides that the bed is too high for her, so I call the store and ask if they have shorter legs for the bedframe. They do! And they can deliver them and set them up that weekend for just $30. SOLD. Done. Again, the delivery guys were in and out in no time. Honestly, in this day and age, I feel like every delivery is a chore. City Mattress was a pleasure to do business with. I am hoping to buy a bed for my guestroom shortly so I will be back. read more

My wife and I bought a Prana mattress, foundation and frame. We paid more for this than I ever paid before but was convinced by the salesperson, Shelly, this was the best. When it was delivered it was missing the frame. Shelly delivered it quickly. The problem was the bed was then 32.5 inches off the floor. That is higher than a standard table. I have a bad leg and although I am 6'3" tall once I struggled to get on to the bed, my feet could not touch the floor. Shelly offered to provide a narrower foundation or what would be considered a spring mattress that is 3" to 4" inches high versus 10" that she sold us. She wrote we had to pay $649 for it. Unknown to us in the showroom Shelly never showed us a bed that was 32.5 inches high, which no one would want to own. Had she done so, we would not have bought it. Nor did she ever tell us there was an option to have a narrower base provided. My best advice is to stay away from City Mattress. If Shelly is an example, they are misleading and unscrupulous. My handicapped Mom and I entered the store and waited for anyone to assist or even greet us. That did not happen. My mother (in a wheelchair) and I stood in the front of the store waiting for assistance and none ever came. Three representatives watched us from a desk in the back and didn't even bother to speak to us. I would never return here and I would not recommend them. They don't assist disabled people or maybe they don't know how to help disabled people. We went to another Matress store in the mall and bought a mattress set on the spot. They knew how to help someone in a wheelchair. read more

BAD & GOOD: Terrible Delivery Experience. Great In Store experience. BAD DELIVERY EXPERIENCE During delivery the two men were in a hurry and smashed the mattress into every ceiling fan they passed (3 of them), knocked over a candle, broke (shattered) an expensive Mexican Clay Planter in our entryway and never said a word about it and then took the tip we gave them without still yet saying a word about it. Fortunately it's all on camera. Immediately called the store and got the run around and a promised we'd be called back in a few minutes with a resolution and that was 6 hours and when we call back now we just get put on hold with the purposeful hope that we give up and hang up. GREAT INSTORE EXPERIENCE From the moment we walked into City Mattress we were professionally taken care of by Yasmine, whom took her time and explained everything about a few different choices to us as well as the comparisons to each other. She was excellent and the only reason why we gave this review two stars. IN SUMMARY: A decent mattress purchase is an expensive preposition these days, between 2k to 4k on average, so one should expect at least good service. So if you have your own truck and are going to pick up your own mattress we certainly recommend doing business with Yasmine at the City Mattress location in Wellington Florida. HOWEVER, if you will need your mattress delivered we recommend using any other different company as opposed to City Mattress. read more

My husband and I were advocates of beauty rests as we owned 2 for many years with no issues rather than 8-10 years of sleeping on the same mattress. Therefore when it came time to replace our mattress it was an easy decision to buy a beauty rest again. However within 6 months the sink holes began. We reached out to customer service and after 9 months of following up on our case, city mattress agreed to replace it. We received the "new" mattress and within DAYS the sink holes began again. Maybe we received a returned item as a replacement; not sure. My husband and I are average weight; there is no reason other than the quality of the product to explain such a quick deterioration. read more

I did enjoy my in store shopping experience and the sales associate was super helpful. The problem is: now after owning the mattress only 9 months it is starting to sag in the area where I sleep. I tried moving to the middle of my (queen) mattress, but still feeling like I am rolling to the side. I waited a long time to shop for what I hoped would be a superior bed offering me a wonderful night's sleep. So, I called the store and they sent someone out. WOW: was he full of excuses: "well ANY mattress is going to start sagging in the area you are sleeping in"....."well maybe you need to just rotate it:....."well, CIty Mattress doesn't offer that particular warranty until the mattress is sagging 1-1/2 " and yours isn't even at 1".........SERIOUSLY???? My $2400 Stearns and Foster bed is ONLY sagging less than 1" after less than one year of buying it???? I could just go to Ollie's and buy one of their cheap mattresses and replace it every year, I will say this: I had a mattress that I bought many years ago from Costco (of course super cheap). I slept fine on that bed for many many years. So this is my disappointing mattress experience. I'm out $2400 (a lot of money for a senior citizen on a fixed income) and I guess I'm stuck with an inferior mattress, sold to me by an inferior company. read more

We had literally less than 24 hours in Florida after a move from Chicago and needed new beds fast. Went to 4 different stores and SO glad we saved the best for last! Mark's product knowledge and ability to get us the best deal for our money was EXTRAORDINARY!! Keith was also there and it was immediately evident he's also superior in the service arena! Repeat customer here. Selection is deep so there are multiple choices at every price point. Salespeople are helpful without being aggressive. Specifically, Debra was thoughtful and patient and our delivery guys have been awesome during every delivery. FYI the house brand Prana is beyond awesome, better than the "national" brands hands down. Totally worth it considering 1/3 of your life will be spent on your mattress. I had a really bad experience with this place. I went in with my boyfriend to find a new mattress and ended up getting what I thought was an awesome mattress in the clearance section. After several days of sleeping on it, my back started spasming and we felt like we were sinking in the middle of the bed. We went in to find a different mattress in the clearance section and again the same issue. Not to mention, the older guy who works there acted super annoyed with us and made us feel like we were doing something wrong. Anyways, with this mattress we were sinking in the middle too. We couldn't figure out was wrong and just thought it was just that we didn't like it. We went in for a third time and stated something wasn't right with these two mattresses and we decided to buy a new bed. The manager "Keith" said that we can't just keep on exchanging our mattress and was extremely rude. We explained that there was something not right with the mattresses and how rude they had been to us so he agreed to switch out the mattress. We got a brand new mattress and we were told that everything would add up to $2600. *****in response to the comment by Rick below: First off, your sales associate Kelly and Ben who sold us the clearance mattresses said that we could return the mattresses and exchange it no problem. Actually what they specifically stated was that for regular mattresses there was a 90 day return policy and for clearance there was a 30 day return policy. So either one of you is lying or like I stated before, your staff is incompetent. Second, the prana associate told me that those beds can be folded when using an adjustable bed not folded in half. Third, you did call us back and spoke to my boyfriend who stated that you did apologize for the rudeness of the staff but seemed unconcerned with everything else. As far as calling us three times......yeah you did because you wanted this post taken down and were trying to bribe us to do so. In addition, you say that the rudeness of the staff is not the norm but yet your employee has been counseled on his behavior before. Lastly, yes I did sign the contract and stupidly believed that you were honest and were true to your word. I had looked at a number of other stores but this place made the most sense. They're big. I had bought a $1700 mattress from City Mattress a little while back, and had a hick up that needed attention. What made City Mattress stand out, or at least this branch. Is that I had originally bought this mattress from another City Mattress location. I called this location accidentally. The manager of this location "Keith" didn't try to send me off to the original store to get help. He selflessly went out of his way, to help me. And when I say help... he was following up with me via phone and email, to make sure I was taken care of. I'm a people person, and considering in many chain retailers, "passing the responsibility" or "it's not my problem" attitudes are far to ubiquitous. We were worried that shopping for a mattress would be an expensive, stressful hassle but the first place we tried - City Mattress - turned out to be an easy bargain. We dealt with the manager, Keith, who helped us choose a mattress and had it delivered within a few days. We decided after a few weeks that it was too firm and swapped it out without any hassle either - we even recouped a few bucks on the transfer! A friend recommended City Mattress so my husband and I went in, already apprehensive and with a limited budget. Fortunately we were greeted by Keith who made the whole process easy and found us an excellent mattress within our budget. I will sleep on the floor before I ever walked back into the store again. I bought a mattress which was nothing like the one I saw in the store as far as comfort goes. I made them take it back and they upgraded me to a primal mattress for an additional $3000 after three months I went back to the store and complained how lumpy and uncomfortable it was. They then told me that my 90 days was up and they will send a service man to my house. She told me it was normal wear and tear and such a piece of foam quarter of an inch thick and put under the mattress telling me this would make it more comfortable. I would be very careful about doing any business with this company. I now must retract this review after being contacted by the management from this store. They wereGENUINELY concerned about my problem, invited me to come into the store and then graciously showed me their top of the line styles and told me there would be no charges whatsoever and exchanged my mattress set this morning. City mattress wouldn't even receive one star if that was possible. My mattress is falling apart after 2 years. I've called several times to have someone replace it and I just keep getting met with resistance and avoidance. It is a city mattress brand mattress and I was trying to show royalty to my hometown city of Rochester New York by shopping here but never again. I'm stuck with a falling apart mattress that has a 10 year warranty that I cannot get replaced or fixed. read more

When I moved to the area and wanted to buy a mattress I came to them. I worked with Keith whose sole goal was to make sure I ended up happy. When the first mattress I purchased turned out to be too firm, he made the process of exchange as simple as could be. He was courteous and patient and professional at all times, and guided me with information on the product line and how they might fit my sleep style and body frame. Never once did he try to over sell me on something more expensive. I ended up with a mattress I love and look forward to sleeping on every night.
