The reviews and pictures on this park caught my eye. It was more than I had hoped for especially because I've given up hiking to train my dog and lately I've been missing my hikes. This park gave me a bit of what I have been missing. Peaceful surroundings, trees, a dirt path, space, and minimal distractions. The pup and I got to play and train and we both left feeling super satisfied. I did notice a small blue tent in the park. Not sure if it was occupied. I wasn't too concerned because I had my dog. A discarded syringe cap was also found near a bench. Otherwise, the park was well-manicured, clean, and serene. I look forward to returning!

My dogs and I have been walking at River Walk Park for the past 15 years. They have a wonderful…read moretrail that has really expanded over the past 10 years. You can now walk from Eastvale Community Park at Hamner through River Walk Park and down to Archibald, a total round trip of 5.2 miles. Unfortunately, there has been so many kids out there racing E-bikes during the past year it is getting increasingly difficult to safely take a walk with my dog along this trail. Recently JCSD has put up 20 miles per hour speed limit signs that say yield to pedestrians and some mirrors to help see around sharp turns. 20 mile per hour speed limit might be an okay speed limit on the straight parts of the trail, but 20 miles per hour isn't at all safe around the sharp turns. I have had to jump in the bushes and pull my dog off the trail several times from E-bikes racing around a curve in the trail.

The Riverwalk Parkway is so cute! It's perfect for walks, jogs, and bike riding. It's nice to be…read moreoutside and see nature. It's so convenient for me, and it's almost like I'm not in the city (until I have to cross the street) because of how serene it is. I like taking the time to watch the birds and turtles. The plants and flowers are beautiful as well. River Walk Trail spans for about 3 miles, so it's perfect for some outside time to get steps and take your kids or dog out to roam. The only downside is if you don't live nearby, there's nowhere to park unless you use a nearby shopping center parking lot. There are also no restrooms other than in the businesses on the opposite side of the street. Part of the trail is in a residential area, so you may need to plan ahead, especially if you have small children with you who may need to use the restroom frequently.
