Picked me up in Ashland and took me to Cave junction at a Super Discounted Rate... I called earlier in the morning and asked if i could get a discount rate at a slower time of day and not only was it substantially cheaper the owner Johnny picked me up himself... he is a Great guy to ride with for an hour and half ride the time flew buy...looking forward to my next ride and im going to call one to Two days in advance as an aprication for this type of service... As an ex-cab driver myself this used be standard practice for all Cab companies for all patrons... I landed at Medford Airport on Friday June 5 mid-day and needed to get to the satellite Enterprise Car rental lot. City Taxi was right outside so I got in. Something told me to ask how much the cost would be. It was 12 miles from the terminal and took 17 minutes. When I went to pay he said the cost was $89, $80 for the fare and a $9 fee because I used a credit card to pay. I challenged the cost and alluded to I was lucky to get a taxi. Talking the whole ride about "Just use me! Why aren't you using me, why are you using someone else, when's your next apooibtment. Just use me?" Pressure? The whole ride was talking about why he's perfect for me and to use only his service," intrusively personal. Comes into my appointment, having ne watch his and cell phone while he's in the bathroom 7 minutes, doctor shows up and I can't go. Price gouged me! Way over charged compared to the average taxi. I researched it. He charged me double the going rate, asked me how much others charge and who, then got mad and accused them of undercutting all the taxi's. Then he had me hold part of my scooter, was rough throwing it in, it bounced around, and it tore the vinyl on the arm. He pulled the seat off the back, and said he couldn't bend over. I had to get someone to put the seat he pulled apart back together. No taxi in Nevada, California, and other places ever treated it like that! Not even airports who mangle them I felt like he was hotting on me, and not honoring my boundaries. Asking personal questions and if I have a boyfriend, talking about taking me to the lake and hell stay, do I want to stop for ice cream? Borderline predator behavior. He's married. $40 from Medford Airport to Central Point (15 minute drive). He stated that it would be $20 to $25 when we got in the taxi but when we arrived, he demanded $40. Never again. I will stick with Uber where you know what you are getting going in. Also, he had a seriously condescending attitude and in your face politics in the vehicle.
