As soon as you walk in, we were warmly welcomed and given a tour of everything offered in the small shop. Small but with vast options!! I was quickly able to find what I was looking for, a sweet sparkly red! (Delicious btw. It went by quick) Only to find out they have 3 for $30 deal!! I'll be back, there was so many more wines I've never tried or seen before

I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Next time, I'll be ordering food with my wine and lingering much longer! Thanks for a great end to my week. See y'all soon! Cheers!

We were seated promptly, no awkward hovering, and our waitress showed up friendly, sharp, and knowing her way around the menu--which is a quality that ought to be listed right next to "clean silverware." We started with the crab and corn chowder, and let me say this right now: the crab was not there for decoration. It announced itself. Big flavor, no apologies, the way crab chowder ought to be. Second round was the smoked salmon salad. Perfect. The salmon was excellent, but that tarragon caper dressing had a way of making you slow down and think about life choices. I would put that dressing on just about anything that didn't move fast enough. For the main event, I chose the scallops, and I am prepared to testify they were as good as any I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, sitting pretty with an aioli that knew its job and did it well. My wife ordered the beef medallions, and I'll admit this with humility: looking back, I may have chosen wrong. Those medallions were expertly prepared and packed with flavor, the kind that makes you reconsider your own plate. We finished with cheesecake and berries. The cheesecake did its part. The berries... well, not every inning is a home run. Fortunately, the wine stepped in like a good relief pitcher and made everything right again. Through it all, the service never slipped. We were treated the way folks ought to be treated when they go out to celebrate something that matters. And that, in my book, counts just as much as what's on the plate. Sorry for the lack of pictures the food and wine kept my attention

The menu changes regularly since it is chef driven. I attended for my birthday and chose the 4 course menu. The food was cooked perfectly, however portions are quite small. The wines are very nice and the servers are knowledgeable, but I have experienced better wine/food pairings. It's a lovely meal and experience with a higher price point for the area, but definitely worth trying at least once.

Free street parking nearby was easy to find. If you have a private event, you go to the back of the restaurant at the right and down some stairs. The private event room felt very bachelor den-like in a good way. There were leather seats surrounding the room and a tiny bar with a bartender to make us drinks. We were able to order whatever drink we wanted on the menu. For food, they brought trays out buffet style. We tried a variety of things. The star of the show was the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. Some were overcooked, but the flavor was nice. The seating was a bit awkward for a group our size in the private room, but we made it work. It was nice how casual it was.

At 12:25 p.m., the hostess informed us they were catching up on tables but that we would be seated soon. At 12:30 p.m., we were finally seated. Our waitress did not greet us warmly, make eye contact, introduce herself, or provide any information about the restaurant or menu. At 12:45 p.m., we ordered our food and drinks, and at 12:50 p.m., our drinks arrived. Around 1:30 p.m., we realized our food still had not come out, while other tables being served by our waitress were receiving prompt and friendly service. Our waitress passed our table four times without stopping to provide an update on our food or apologize for the extensive wait time. We were finally able to get her attention and politely asked about the status of our order. Without an apology or acknowledgment of our experience, she responded that she would tell the chefs to "rush" our order. We never asked for our food to be rushed -- we simply wanted an update because we had already been waiting far longer than expected. When our food was eventually brought out by another staff member, it was cold after nearly two hours of waiting. At that point, my husband asked to speak with the manager because not only was the wait time unacceptable, but the food was also cold. The manager eventually came to our table, apologized for the delay, and offered to discount the meal. My husband thanked him for the apology, but by that point, we decided the experience was not worth salvaging. We told the manager we did not want the cold food or watered-down drinks. Not only was our Mother's Day celebration ruined, but the lack of accountability from the staff and the poor customer service made the entire experience extremely disappointing. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

We were there for at least 15 minutes before a waiter appeared to take our order. But it went downhill from there. We were there for an hour and fifteen minutes before we received our lunches. The waiter did not alert us there was a problem, and when I complained, for the second time, about the delay, he said, "Well the food is a little slow coming out of the kitchen." That was after we had been there for over an hour, and, as I said, I complained for the second time. It may not have been their official happy hour, but it was ours--and if you know us, you know we love happy hour. We had a fantastic time. The service could not have been more attentive. Every bite had just the right amount of flavor and spice, and the cocktails were absolutely spot on. We shared three appetizers and couldn't have been more pleased. The octopus was fantastic, the truffle fries are something I'll be craving for a long time, and the charcuterie board topped everything off perfectly. If you get the chance, make a reservation and go. We left grinning from ear to ear after a great meal, great drinks, and a great evening.
