We started with the bread assortment, which included flatbreads, rolls, dipping sauces, and butter. We also tried the fried artichoke leaves--they were perfectly crisp, tender, and delicious. For my entrée, I had the branzino with crispy skin, and it was cooked to perfection. The combination of lemon, herbs, and capers worked beautifully, and the fish practically melted in your mouth. They just opened and are still working out a few of the inevitable kinks that come with a new restaurant, but when it comes to the food, they absolutely hit the bullseye. Definitely worth checking out.

I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Recently visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration. All 5 of us got something…read more different, and every dish was cooked to perfection! The service is incredible- drinks are filled immediately, and continously; empty dishes are cleared right away as well as fresh silverware provided in between courses. It's like a well oiled machine in there. All sections of the restaurant moving like clockwork in unison to produce a desired outcome of excellence. My wife grabbed the Newton Cosmo, which, while delicious, was too sweet for her, and James took it back and got her a mint julep instead for no charge. For dinner she had the Caesar wedge salad with a rare steak, I had the Ramsay Bolton burger. Both delicious and portions are incredible, especially for the price. Also asked James for a bourbon flight after dinner. He listened to what bourbons I had tried before and promptly recommended a flight and how to go about tasting it. At 12:45 p.m., we ordered our food and drinks, and at 12:50 p.m., our drinks arrived. Around 1:30 p.m., we realized our food still had not come out, while other tables being served by our waitress were receiving prompt and friendly service. Our waitress passed our table four times without stopping to provide an update on our food or apologize for the extensive wait time. We were finally able to get her attention and politely asked about the status of our order. Without an apology or acknowledgment of our experience, she responded that she would tell the chefs to "rush" our order. We never asked for our food to be rushed -- we simply wanted an update because we had already been waiting far longer than expected. When our food was eventually brought out by another staff member, it was cold after nearly two hours of waiting. At that point, my husband asked to speak with the manager because not only was the wait time unacceptable, but the food was also cold. The manager eventually came to our table, apologized for the delay, and offered to discount the meal. My husband thanked him for the apology, but by that point, we decided the experience was not worth salvaging. We told the manager we did not want the cold food or watered-down drinks.
