I don't think I would order it in the future since it's a simple dish that is not unique to the establishment. My husband ordered the pupusas and wasn't very impressed but stated it was edible. It seemed most people at the party enjoyed their food with a few misses on some appetizers like the crab dip. One of the regulars stated some of their dishes weren't their usual quality but said they believe it was an off day. The two servers we had were very nice and didn't miss a beat with such a large party. Overall, I would return if I was in the area and wasn't planning to eat some where else. There were 3 different sauce bottles that were place on the tables. 1) Tomato vinegar base 2) Spicy 3) Green/mild. There were 8 varieties of pupusas but I chose pork. When it arrive to the table, it was piping hot served with a light vinegar slaw. The consistency was spot on and delicious. There are 9 selections for tacos but I only chose 2 which were lengua (tongue) and fish. The protein was generously portion, garnished with chopped cilantro and onions. I try the tongue by itself first and it so tender, melts in your mouth and so flavorful. I add some green sauce and boy it enhances the flavors even more. As for the pescado fish, I really want this to taste good but unfortunately it didn't because the fish was tilapia. The unique taste of the tilapia overpowered the entire dish for me. The fried plantains were delicious and firm. Sopa de pollo was absolutely amazing, that broth was so smooth and filled with umami but the quarter chicken was dried. The bowl of soup was served with fluffy rice mixed with corn and some hot tortillas wrapped in foil. I had excellent service from server Jossie L. She was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I love that it's a sports bar with plenty of TVs so you can watch all four basketball games at once. And it's a great environment. Unfortunately, every year I have to ask for them to change the TVs to the games. They always accommodate, however I wonder why they aren't tuned into the big sporting events that are happening. I give them a 4 out of 5 knocking one point off for having to address this every year. Food is always amazing as is the service.
