Presented with chief complaint of feeling like something was stuck in my right nostril on 15 January 2026. I had been at an ER on 10 January for a nose bleed that was over 4 hours in duration. They performed a chemical cauterization. The PA who attended on the 15th, without even a cursory examination said nothing there, probably just the area scabbing up. Use a cotton ball soaked in Afrin if it starts bleeding again. The attached is what came out 2-days later when I blew my nose. Yes, that's a wad of gauze roughly 1.5" in length x .75" in diameter. So much for a thorough examination. Probably should have been concerned when I blew my nose in the waiting room, producing a few tissues covered in blood and asked for a SHARPS container to put the blood soaked tissue into it and all I got was blank looks. How does a building full of medical professionals NOT know what a SHARPS container is? Interesting that this has been posted for 14 days now and not a pip out of anyone from CityDoc. Maybe an attorney out there could provide some guidance...? read more

You need a non controlled maintenance medication and you live close to here? Do NOT COME HERE! They charge you full price which is $100 for a maintenance medication which you will pay probably pay less than $20 through your insurance. NOT WORTH IT. I happen to work in a retail pharmacy and am very disappointed. I have many times gotten refills through urgent cares in the past but was just told by CityDoc that because they are privately owned, they will only do refills if you pay them out of pocket full cost. I will update you on the urgent care that I will get a refill in then. I was able to do teledoc through my insurance for a free visit. Just chose here because I had recent amazing service. Also really upset they called me 15min before my appointment when I worked this am. Your home pharmacy's will also loan you a few pills of uncontrolled medications till you are able to get a refill. Really awful. I had planned to make this my regular urgent care as it is 5 min from my place. Yes they are open on July 4th... but due to 0 care quality. I will give them a 1. I always recommend urgent cares for refills. This one fell off the list. Other than that I recommend them for making fast appointments online when you are sick. Atrocious in every way. From the manchild at the front desk with the dangling earrings who looked and acted like he hated his job, hated life, hated people or all 3, to the grossly incompetent medical assistant of some kind who was so shockingly bad at administering basic first aid level treatment to the PA who did nothing, to the 90 minutes it took to treat something that should have taken 10. 60 minute wait time overall. The most unprofessional, negligent display of incompetence and malpractice. CityDoc should be sued or barred from operating. Absolutely terrible in every way. read more

This was by far the best urgent care experience I've ever had. The front desk lady was so nice when I walked in an hour before closing and asked if they were still taking walk ins - she said "of course" and helped me fill out everything she needed from me. The two nurses that helped me were beyond helpful and kind. The doctor was also above and beyond - he was patient with me expressing concerns & was more than happy to walk me through all the possibilities. Everyone in the office was so nice to me and helpful (which you can't always promise at an urgent care), I'm so happy with the experience (especially how quick it was). read more

My visit was a complete waist of money. The doctor did absolutely nothing. Asked zero questions and I literally had to ask him to look at my back where the pain was coming from. The doctor walked in the room and just immediately recommended a muscle relaxer without asking any question. I will never ever be back. Don't get me wrong, this urgent care used to be decent. However, my most recent visit was the most atrocious care I've ever received. After presenting all my symptoms to the doc, his first accusation was that I was pregnant and had to reiterate to him multiple times that there was absolutely no way I was. He ran some tests and came back telling me I had diabetes, and then minutes later saying I didn't. Thereafter, he said to me "I'm not too sure what this is, so let's just treat you for a UTI". Mind you, I had no correlation or symptoms for a UTI. The next day, I got the standard follow up text to give them a call if I was feeling worse, so I did. After calling 3 times and never receiving a call back from my voicemail, I still was unable to get through. I ended up calling another CityDoc location to get advice on next steps, in which I was told "none of the symptoms you're experiencing were listed in your chart. You should just come back into us." I ended up going to a different urgent care entirely where I was sent to the ER and had to have emergency surgery for GALLBLADDER issues. Absolutely ridiculous to me that my symptoms were completely ignored and overlooked. Avoid CityDoc at all costs. read more

I went here last week because I was extremely ill but unsure if I needed to go to an ER. They swabbed my nose for the flu which I already told them I had. They gave me Tamiflu and sent me home. I was in severe sepsis and could have died and they barely did anything. Extremely unknowable staff. read more

I'm new to Dallas & do not have insurance here . City Doc was recommended to me & I was able to make an appointment on line for within the next hour & fill out all forms on line ahead of time. The staff is professional , friendly & very patient based .The appointment was right on time, they have an easy pricing chart to understand beforehand , so no surprises & my on site lab work done in 10-15 minutes. I came in for a sore throat. The same exam my nurse said she also seen something in my ear but only gave me antibiotics for my throat. Two days later I had excruciating pain in both ears. I went back and had to pay another copay. My frustration is when the nurse saw something in my ear 2 days something could have been prescribed vs paying 2 copays and $70 for my swollen ear drums ear drop. I now have to cancel my flight home tomorrow and extend another hotel night stay. Never again! read more

They WILL take x-rays of your broken ankle and you will pay them, however they will NOT provide any treatment for your broken ankle or give you a referral for an ortho specialist. Edited review as of 11/29: A nice lady called me to ask if I'd consider changing my review and offered to make things right with the doctor's note. So I'll give them that: they have good customer service after the fact and generally desire to help patients, even if Dr Tolentino wasn't in a good mood that day. Original review: If I could give this place zero stars I think I would. Receptionist was friendly so this star is for her. The doctor (Dr Tolentino) and the nurse had zero bedside manner. I came in feeling extremely ill, waited for 45 minutes, and was tested for strep and flu. Both tests came back negative, but Dr Tolentino said 'I have strep on my right side.' Great, let's get the amoxicillin and I'll be out of your hair. She doesn't even let me finish speaking before she's out of the door and on her way to deal with something else. I asked for a doctors note confirming what she just told me, because I work retail and calling out the day before thanksgiving isn't a good look. She said 'do you really want a doctors note? Because that's your private information. I can't really put anything on there other than say when you can return to work.' So I was handed a piece of paper saying I came in, but all of my results listed as negative. Okay... so how am I going to explain that I have strep when the paper clearly says I don't? The doctor at the front went and asked for another note and came back handing me the same thing. Place is a joke. This place was dirty. They didn't clean the blood pressure cuff, chair or thermometer between patients. I called and left 3 vms today to let them know I was positive for Covid and needed other meds after my visit yesterday. Nobody called me back. They voicemail was full first thing this morning and nobody did anything about it. I've had good care here before but not anymore. I won't be going back. The people there are really nice , but I'm leaving a one star because the two times that I was there for my son he was misdiagnosed , the first time he had really bad hives and the doctor there told me it's probably just a viral infection and to just give him Benadryl and it would go away , the very next day I had to take him to his pediatrician and she prescribed the right medication .. this last time I went they told me that my son had a yeast infection and the next day it got way worse so I again took him to his pediatrician and she told me to immediately go to cooks children's ER and that it was obviously not a yeast infection , she looked dumbfounded that someone would even think that it was a yeast infection and even asked me who would tell me that .. Currently sitting in the exam room as im writing this interview because that's how happy I am with the service here. When I came in I waited maybe 5 minutes before they took me back. I sat in the exam room for less than 5 minutes and the practitioner showed up. He is extremely nice and took my worries away! I brought a book with me because all my walk in visits to urgent care centers have always been long but I didn't even get to read a chapter while I was here! The staff is nice but totally incompetent. The 'doctors' are really quick to send medicine off to your pharmacy. They love doing strep tests but their machines are totally unreliable too(the covid one also). For ex: i had a neg strep according to the machine but the doc said i def had strep(still pretty sure it wasn't strep) and another time my covid rapid said positive but my pcr was negative....the inconsistency is almost admirable.i dont think thry care if theyre accurate more hust about bring fast and getting people in and out quickly.....my rec is to not come here. i thought this place was going to be awesome, i was in and out quick and the doctor was nice. Since I have left they have yet to send my prescription to a pharmacy (i severely sprained my ankle so i'm in a lot of pain) and when i called up the pharmacy, they told me that the medication was out of stock and citydoc never sent over the prescription. i called citydoc back to tell them this so that they can make adjustment to where to send my prescription. I was then told to basically do their job for them and find a pharmacy that carry's what i need. After i finally found a pharmacy NOW citydoc is telling me that they are having IT issues and that's why my prescription has yet to be sent. I am in a whole bunch of pain and the nurses/front desk people have been zero help at all. It has been 48 hrs now since my visit and i still have yet to hear back from CityDoc. Do not recommend, these people just give you the run around - ps im currently on hold to talk to a nurse there and have been on hold for over 20 minutes now. Save you time and peace of mind and go somewhere else if you are in pain/need medication. *just got off the phone w the nurse who was extremely unhelpful and told me that i can't get my prescription today and to give them a call tomorrow. Ethan Gringras is criminally uninformed and extremely unprofessional. He didn't even examine me. He sat across from me and told me there is absolutely no treatment option on earth available for a pregnant woman who can't walk because of debilitating back pain. He told me the only thing I could do was go to the ER and get an ultrasound. If you're a woman, stay away. If you're a pregnant woman, RUN. I'm terrified that this person is put in a position where he is allowed to give medical advice. Save yourself the trouble of driving to this location, especially if you can barely walk. Mr. Gringras apparently sees pregnant women as worthless incubators whose only option if they are in pain is to cease functioning for 9 months. read more

I have just returned from the doctor's office. Fortunately for me, I was not the one feeling ill. Unfortunately for my girlfriend she was feeling 12 shades of damn. I am, however, happy to report that she is now feeling much better after our trip to CityDoc. Firstly, it is a wildly convenient location being in the middle of Uptown on McKinney Ave, next door to Vino 100 near Starbucks; but more importantly it's across the street from me.... The waiting room is clean and quite comfortable although we only had to stay there for some 5 minutes or so. The orderly quickly directed us to a room, complete with TV for those waits for the Dr. to arrive. When Dr. Stafford came in she was quite affable with a great sense of humor and easy bed-side manner. The staff, in general, seemed professional and as worked quickly and efficiently at their trade while making pleasant conversation where appropriate. Personally, I have been using Lakewood Medical Center, which is also a *fantastic* service, but now am thinking of moving my records to CityDoc simply out of geographical convenience. They do take insurance. I just checked their website out of curiosity and noticed that they are currently "IN NETWORK" for: * AETNA * BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD - PPO and HMO * HUMANA/CHOICE PLUS NETWORK * HEALTHLINK * PACIFICARE * UNICARE * UNITED HEALTH CARE * PHCS / MULTI-PLAN NETWORK Oh yeah--another reason you'll know it's a great service for Uptown... they do Botox. read more

Went here after poor performance of CareNow (see post there). My daughter had been here and loved it. Got on wait list on-line. Easily filled out minimal paperwork. Arrived 10 mins prior to time. Again, minimal check-in (copying insurance, DL etc). Was seen within 10 minutes of estimated time. Once in the exam room the entire process took about 10 mins max. The provider was attentive and handled my issue exactly as needed. Prescription was called in IMMEDIATELY to Kroger on CS (maybe a mile away). They had it before I got there! I typically go here (bc my doctor is far away) when I am sick. This place is really convenient to get to since I live downtown. I came here a couple of days ago with the flu. Typically they can get you in and out within 30-1hr. It's clean and well taken care of. Depending on who you get as staff and what day it is you can friendly and unfriendly nurses, but I think that's everywhere you go. I've had a couple of different doctors here, their bedside manner is quick, fast and to the point. I'll probably always come back here unless I move because it's convenient. read more
