This will be a series of review because I have bad luck with cars. So I had to bring my Honda Civic for repair when it got hit and run back in November 2014. I brought in my car and talked to Vincent. It was the "hardest" thing I needed to do because from that point on, Vincent and Fanny took care of everything. Vincent took me to SFO hertz for a rental car, they even let me "parked" my civic at shop for free while I was away for the holidays days after it was ready. Regarding the job, PRISTINE AND PERFECT. Just look at this before and after pictures (blue 2012 civic). Fanny made a small negligible mistake of not putting the "civic" emblem on the trunk but she was nice enough to send me $90 check for it. I actually didn't care because my car's a lease and I had to return it the week after the repair was done. Fanny and Vincent are the most honest, friendliest, and fastest people in the business. I was refereed over to this shop by a friend that goes to the track with the owner Patrick The owner set up track days for local car enthusiast track days. I was in search of someone to do some paint in side the car on a roll cage. Patrick also has his roll care built by the same builder I was refereed to in Sacrament and both cages look great. It is good to always have something in common with a shop that you know The good: Patrick is very knowledgeable and prices are more than fair, for the most part they try their best to do things faster than book time and only charge you for actuall time. That is great knowing that they are looking out for your pockets. They are good on insurance claims and help you to save on your deductible if possible. The bad: the ramp to get in is extremely steep( makes it harder for lowered cars, and extremely thin, takes a lot of precession to pass cars when going in and out( I uploaded a photo) the ugly: there are a bunch of crack heads roaming the streets near by, I mean it is expected that you are in san francisco but damn, I feel like I need to come by with a bat and my zombie Apocalypse kit to keep them away( Im just joking they keep to them selves, and I do thnk any cars are the shop are 100% safe there,) Im just not used to the zombies of homeless in sf that are all cracked out. I highly recommend this place! They really made me feel like a valued customer and went out of their way to please me. Fanny and her husband under promised and over delivered, they gave me a lead time of 6 days and was able to finish the work in 5, mind you I didn't have a huge body work that needed to be done but my car was new enough that I didn't want to see the small dents other stupid drivers leave when my car is parked quietly somewhere (city parking ). They were very helpful, and when they inspected my truck they found more damage that I didn't see. They got the insurance to cover all the damage. I asked them about putting extra parts on my truck that I wanted to do at a later time, but because of the honesty and friendliness I went ahead and got the parts. My truck came out so awesome , I couldn't believe that it was my truck when I picked it up. The work is excellent and the color on the freshly painted parts is flawless. Would give zero rating if I could. They claimed $7,000 to do a paint job on my Mercedes C which turned out to be really bad. Took my car for resell at Mercedes dealer - was told by person at dealer that the color is not a Mercedes color! WHAT???!? I ended up taking it to another shop, which told me the paint job was completely screwed up. Brought my car back to fix, they were not wiling to repaint, only did a minimal retouch. Even worse, I referred a friend there just around the same time before I got the paint job. Needless to say, awful paint job done on my friend's SLK as well. Total ripoff. Wish I had known. This shop was highly recommended by a trusted friend so I went in for an estimate. My car is very old but has a lot of sentimental value and I would like to restore it. Vincent inspected the car while Fannie provided information about the possible work required. The shop was full of cars all the way to the driveway ramp but they took the time to talk about my car. Apparently the costs of repairs could be much higher than the dollar value of my car. Fannie gave her candid opinion and Vincent suggested an inexpensive way to service the car. City Tech Auto Body Service Center does the best work of any body shop that i have went to. My car was keyed up and the damages were extensive. Vincent the owner of the shop went to work right away. He called me and gave me quick updates on my car, and because I didn't have a rental, he even drove me back home. The work on my car is phenomenal. I went to a lot of shops in the past, but this shop tops all of them.The paint job was magnificent and the quality of the job was superb. Patrick and Fanny were also very nice and were very helpful with everything as well. Patrick helped me get the aftermarket parts that I wanted right away without any trouble. One of the best body shops I've ever been to. Long story short, driving on 280 and got hit by a rock fell off the truck in front of me. Roof was heavily dented and sunroof was completed broken into pieces. On several occasions I've heard of citytech body shop, so decided to give it a try. I left the car at the shop, at the Saturday afternoon (YES! they open on Saturday! Thanks God!), and Insurance Agent came in on Monday for the inspection. Everything was trouble free to me and I got my car back a week after. Patrick was extremely helpful and promptly gave me updates on the progress during the entire time. New sunroof, and the roof looks like BRAND NEW! Patrick is the man! I normally don't write reviews, but Patrick's service and attitude deserves my praise. I am a very picky person when it comes to my car. I know that a paint job will never be as good as a paint job from the factory. so the story begins... I've searched for a reputable bodyshop to repaint my rear bumper from someone rearending the driverside corner. I have a white car and I notice every speck of brakedust and it annoys me, but I didn't trust it in the hands of anyone that I let it be. Then almost half a year later, my car is vandalized and broken into from the front passenger window. I was so mad and devastated. Now I was forced to bring it into a shop. So, a friend of mine referred me to CityTech. I checked out their shop and found that they did a total color change on a 350Z. The paint was spectacular with all the necessary steps taken to ensure a clean, smooth job. There was NO waves, NO orange peel, NO tears. So I entrusted my car to CityTech. Patrick helped me throughout the ordeal, repainted my car (including the bumper), and replaced my broken window. Now, you all know that insurance companies don't EVER give you factory glass as replacements. Well, I was so picky that Patrick was able to get his hands on a NEW factory window for me, which saves me depreciation if I ever sell the car (original parts = higher resale). Patrick then reassures me he will personally double check the paint and crevices because he too is a car fanatic. When I went to pick my car up, I found my car to be smooth and shiny with no orange peel. They even color matched my paint to the existing slightly faded white. Amazing job! I then proceed to check out the other cars they've finished painting (accidents from being t-boned to small bumper jobs) and they are all consistent to a paint that you cannot tell they've painted it. 5 stars for a good job! 5 stars for excellent service! read more

My 350Z had damage to the front fender and bumper. A friend had body work done by city tech and recommend me to look into city tech for fixing my car. I live in Los Gatos and thought San Francisco is too far to go for body work on my car. I was wrong, city tech fixed my car and it was great to deal with Patrick. Patrick took care of my car from day one. He sent me pictures of the progress, which I loved. Bottom line I got my car back and it looks great. Seams and fitting of bumper and fender are perfect. Paints is perfect. Patrick even filled little marks on the hood from pebbles that come up and hit the hood while driving. I am so happy my friend recommend city tech even though I live 50 miles away. One other thing I just remembered Patrick even stayed late so I could drop my car off to him at a time that was good for me. read more

Little bit of late review but here it is: In June, my IS 250 had damage to the rear passenger side and I came here for the repair referred by a friend. They really took care of me, and I felt like a valued customer! Fanny is friendly and super helpful. The entire process was a nightmare for me because the insurance company was ridiculously slow in processing the claim. But thanks to Fanny, it turned out better than it could have been. It took a full 5 weeks for GEICO to have someone do estimation on my car. At that point I was just too frustrated to call them every day and follow up with the status. Fanny was persistent in following up and keep all the records of that; so in week 6 when she told GEICO that she will start charging for storage fee, they finally started to get the process going and had an estimator contacted me. Thank you so much Fanny, I really appreciate your hard work. After GEICO approved the estimate, it was fast - 10 business days as promised. The quality of the job was excellent - it looked like a brand new car! For a service business, their service is wonderful. I was 120% satisfied with their service. They even gave me a ride to BART when I dropped off my car. I'm definitely going to come back to this shop if I need any body work to my car. I highly recommend this place. read more

Excellent!! City Tech Auto Body repaired front-end damage from an accident; my 2003 Oldsmobile Alero (sedan) rear-ended an SUV. I needed a new hood, bumper, grill, etc. After the accident, I took my car to one of my insurance 'authorized' body shops.....I did not know at the time I could go to any body shop. This first body shop gave a repair estimate of $4420. My insurance company considered my car a 'Total Loss', even though it was mechanically sound (just front-end damage) I decided to keep the vehicle and repair it myself. The 'replacement value' payout to me from my insurance agent was $4450. But since the vehicle was considered a 'total loss', the first body shop told me that the repair cost could go higher if they uncovered additional damage (if it was not a 'total loss' the price stays fixed because the first body shop is has some relationship with my insurance agent). I was not comfortable with this 'open-ended' repair bill with a body shop I had no experience with. A friend recommended City Tech Auto and said that the owner, Patrick, had great personal integrity and would never charge me anything not valid. Patrick first discussed what I wanted, and at my request, reused parts that he could. The first shop said I needed a radiator and AC unit, but Patrick was able to safely reuse them. City Tech charged me $3950 which was $470 less than the first shop. When I attempted to give City Tech Auto an even $4000 they refused the extra $50. Additionally, Patrick surprised me by replacing the front left panel which had a big dent in it from a previous accident. Their painting job was exceptional, and I was impressed by the alignment of the hood. Note that although I live in Half Moon Bay, I had my vehicle towed to City Tech in San Francisco. It is just two blocks from a Bart station, so pick-up is a cinch. I highly recommend City Tech Auto. read more
