The steak was extremely salty, potatoes gluely, and the broccolini was bitter and woefully under seasoned. My husband offered to switch plates. He has the pasta, which was also not very good, but at least it was hot. The description said andouille sausage, but it was clearly kielbasa, and the sauce was greasy and separated. Who hired these so-called chefs? Where did they get their degree? Do they even have one? We go out to eat so rarely. I'm a fantastic cook myself, so when we go out, we want the food we order to be better than what I can make at home. Especially at $30 a plate. So, alas, they get 2 stars, for the excellent service, the delicious oysters, and the beautiful ambiance. They apologized profusely and took my horrible dinner off our bill. She stomped off to talk to the owner whom was the guy I had observed drinking a lot of wine at the end of the bar. Since I did not eat it, I asked to speak to him. He would not come to the table and instead showed his pride and customer service and motioned to me to walk across the place to speak to him at the bar while he continued to suck down wine. If this had been taking place in the bar area that would be more understandable as it is more an adult atmosphere, but this was in the dining area where families frequent. A few minutes went by and then a gentleman cam in and sat behind me with a young boy of about 9 or 10 years old. The f bombs and other swear words just kept coming with loud boisterous talking across the room as they were vacuuming and sweeping. All while everyone was trying to eat a peaceful meal. I don't think this is the kind of place I want to frequent anymore, nor my friends who mostly have kids. I was eating there at least once a week but now I think I'm done. Employees acting like that in front of paying guests is a real good way to lose business in this town.
