We went to the Summer Drive In (i.e. the parking lot outside that opens during the summer for outdoor movies) and were hungry so we ordered a large round supreme pizza. I have been in town for business the last three weeks and have had lunch several times. Of course, my hotel is located across the parking from the USA Arena and my business dealings are across Beck Rd so I haven't ventured very far to eat. But I'm also not one to suffer through bad food. Served hot, the food has very good except for the pot roast which was quite fatty. Most of my choices have been burgers, which I crave, so my exposure to the broader menu has been limited. Since I don't indulge in spirits my opinion is irrelevant. Service has also been very friendly and attentive. Give it a go if you're in the area or attend a hockey game. read more

This is your typical bar food restaurant. The atmosphere inside reminds me of bdubs. It seems like a chain restaurant and has pretty standard things on the menu like burgers, sandwiches and pizza. I didn't think the food was anything special. I've gone twice and gotten sandwiches both times and they were just alright. I do like sporcle trivia, which they do here, but I think we're going to try a different restaurant next time we want to do trivia. Overall the restaurant isn't bad, but it's probably not somewhere I'm going to try again soon. read more

The worst beer I've ever had in a brew pub. Thank God they have other offerings in bottles and on Tap but their homemade beer is awful.

First time eating here today for lunch. Attended a going away lunch for a coworker. There were only 5 or 6 tables occupied, and just 2 people at the bar. The waitresses were not particularly friendly, and they were confused on who had our table. The appetizers were just OK, and took a very long time to arrive. The meals took far too long to arrive also, particularly with how light the crowd was. I had the Italian melt. Seemed to have one thin slice of meat, a little bit of cheese, and too much lettuce and tomato. I've had much better. The fries were interesting, but not very appealing. I could not eat it all, and I seriously dislike leaving food on my plate. The other meals did not look all that appealing. I will not be going back there given the service, marginal food, and prices. read more

Place is a joke. Tried to get in for dinner and told it would be a 30 minute wait. We asked why as the restaurant was 1/2 empty. The hostess who acted like she even didn't want to be there said those tables are reserved....? We wanted to give the place a try and now will never go back. read more

Pizza is great, and I don't know why people are complaining about the wait staff, the service was perfect! All of the food that passed by our table looked good, although I can't comment on anything other than the pizza, I will be back to try the rest. Order the pulled pork sandwich and fries both were quite satisfying. Seems like nothing special. Service was quick.

Food was acceptable (hamburger/kid's pizza), beer was pretty good.

All I have to say it this is the best pizza I'VE EVER HAD. it's expensive but it's worth it. But this pizza has a secret an amazing secret! if you take it home and reheat it the next day (or two later) in a toaster over of course, it tastes almost as good as if it were fresh! I don't know how they do it but this pizza can survive a trip to the refrigerator and still be delicious. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Cj's the other night. I went on a wednesday evening when they have their $5 large pizza special and I was really impressed with this place in general. I have three kids and my bill was somewhere around $25, I couldn't believe it! Feeding my family for $25 is a deal i'll take any day. They had some kind of happy hour specials so we were able to order chicken wings which were your basic hot wings, about 10 of them, 2 large pepperoni pizzas AND my husband and I both tried the IPA that they brew there. Very delicious! I will admit that I did read the previous reviews prior to my visit and was worried about the service but our waitress was friendly as can be. We even met the manager who was also very kind and professional. The bar was packed but with the kids we always sit in the dining room which is very spacious and comfortable. We will be going here again for sure. VERY impressed. Maybe they hired new staff or made new rules because these other reviews do not give this place the review it deserves. read more

I recently visited the CJ's brewpub in Plymouth. I sat at the bar and just had drinks. The bar tender Mike, who was awesome, was so welcoming and professional. He reminded me of the old school bartenders who actually cared for his customers. It made me feel important and not just viewed as a paycheck. That is what an experience at a pub should be. Served me fermented salsa. It smelled like beer and tasted yeasty. The head cook said it was cilantro (I know cilantro and actually like it, that was not cilantro ). I am sure the head cook did not taste it and can't believe they probably continued to serve that spoiled salsa that night. Very disappointed. read more

CJ's had the worst service I have ever seen. It took 20 min or more before our drinks were ordered and then after about 20 more minutes before we decided to walk out. I have never walked out of a restaurant before or ever even written a review, that's how bad this was. It's unfortunate because there beer was good and so was the atmosphere but when you wait for almost an hour to order when the restaurant isn't even half full it's pathetic. Not only did it take forever, the waitresses didn't seem to care at all and were very unprofessional; didn't know the beer on tap, tried to help us with dishes in their hands, bad attitude, etc. I was warned before I went but I wanted to see what they had to offer, heed my warning and stay away. read more

I have been to CJ's several times and the food is great! For lunch at least 2x a month I get the Asian Chicken Salad for $6.99. Great salad, great price! During the lunch time the location can be slow BUT on 1/2 pizza day, which is Wednesday. The pizza is really good. I've been here for dinner a few times and I always have good service. Back when the Whalers were here the location was always packed before, during and after the game. Friendly place to take kids as well. Sometimes the service can be a little slow but it has never truly bothered me. Take advantage of the lunch time specials during the week. All of them are great and for $6.99 you totally get more than you pay for! read more

Service is TERRIBLE for those picking up a carryout order. Pizza is OK and is a good deal during their Wednesday specials but not at other times. Unfortunately trying to get the bartender's attention to get your pizza is a horrible experience. My family likes to support local breweries, so we made a special trip tonight to check out CJ's. We should've stayed home (or went to Dexter or Chelsea). Not only was the food underwhelming and improperly cooked (a small step above a frozen pizza and a "medium" burger that had no pink inside), but the waitstaff was inattentive and the manager on duty acted as if we were bothering him by pointing out that the burger was way overcooked. Their IPA and Stout were average and drinkable, but not memorable or good enough for us to order a second round. Also, don't trust the Specials section on their website to be accurate or honored, as we were informed after receiving our check that the free Sunday kids meal (with purchase of an adult entree) was only for the Commerce location (couldn't find that stipulation on their shared website). I guess if you're at Compuware for a hockey game, you might as well stop by for a drink and snack, but don't go out of your way to come here. I'm never going back. read more
