It's mind-blowing that any "professional" cleaner would think this is acceptable. On top of that, the customer service was unbelievably lackadaisical. Instead of taking responsibility or offering any real solution, we were told we'd have to pay again and even rent fans from him at a premium--for a problem he created. I was recently informed of some work performed by CJ's Carpet Care and went to the property to verify for myself, for a four-room cleaning project in my aunt's new home. We used his service as he is an Igbo Nigerian and thought that kinship would gain some kind of care toward the job performed. My aunt had previously worked with him and decided to hire him again based on that past experience and connection. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. For a fee of $350 for 4 rooms, not only was the carpet cleaning itself unsatisfactory, but there was also a gross lack of proper water extraction. After the cleaning, the carpets remained overly damp. The technician provided no ventilation assistance (no open windows), no ,carpet fans, and upon job completion offered no advice to my aunt on how to ensure the carpets dried properly. When we reached out to the owner of this business afterward, he made it clear he didn't see it as his responsibility to ensure the carpets were left in a dry or even manageable state. This neglect left us with damp carpets and the risk of mildew issues due to the subsequent smell that we have encountered making the entire experience quite unsatisfactory. Instead of trying to work with me in finding some mutually beneficial outcome, the owner resorted to blaming my aunt for not knowing industry standard information that he was well aware of and the only solution offered by him was to pay for the cleaning service again and rent the carpet fans at a premium because they were needed urgently. In summary, CJ's Carpet Care failed to deliver a complete and professional service. I didn't do business with them however they were great! Kenny came out to give an estimate and was very thorough with explaining what needed to be done before cleaning the carpets. I would recommend CJ's Carpet Care to anyone due to how professional they are. I was looking to have the carpet in my home stretched for several rooms and CJ's team did an outstanding job. After requesting a quote, CJ came by to take a look at the project. He walked through the process with us and provided both a quote to stretch and/or clean the carpet as well. The quote we received was competitive with what we found with other companies and decided to go with both the stretch and cleaning. CJ's son (Kenny) and his two workers (Steve & Trey) showed up on time and ready to work. Kenny explained the process and kept us informed throughout the day on the progress. They did a great job stretching the carpet and we were very happy with the cleaning as well. Kenny also provided us a cleaning solution and tips to keep the carpet clean going forward. Good Customer Service is everything. A bad attitude and opposition to basic request/ comments when servicing a client makes you think that your business is not needed. I'm perplexed, as all the comments I've read on here sound good and I was referred to this company by a church member. The owner's son had chip on his shoulder, and made me feel very uncomfortable in my own home by his harsh approach and overall demeanor. I respectfully cancelled the job. However, I had the job done by another small business, the carpenter came in professionally stretched the carpet on both levels, moved the furniture arnd and cleaned up after the job was complete with no complaints at all and removed his shoes. He used his carpenter tools to stretch the carpet - not his "shoes to grip the rug." Yeah -go figure - perhaps that's what put the son in a bad mood....idk read more

What a difference CJ's makes as compared to Stanley steamer. CJ's offers very professional service by a family-run and operated business. We have a Labrador retriever that sheds (a lot) and has had a problem with going in the basement. The first thing that impressed me was their willingness to come do an in-person estimate, and CJ Sr. used the blue light (a little embarrassing) to see the extent of the stains and finally he delivered a reasonable estimate. About 48 hours later, we are very pleased. Kenny, CJ's son, did the job with his uncle and we couldn't be happier. They eliminated the pet odor completely-- no easy feat! This is a great family run business! I have a three level townhouse with the lowest level being a rental apartment. The old carpet (around 675 ft.² )needed to be stretched and cleaned. I hired Cj's Carpet Care to stretch the carpet throughout my 3-level townhome. Another contractor had recently stretched the carpet, but the previous contractor had used only a mini-stretcher and a knee kicker, with results ranging from fair to poor, and did not warranty the job. Cj's did the job anew, using a full-size power stretcher, and completely removed all the buckles and folds from the carpet, restoring it to a pristine appearance, which the previous contractor had said was not possible.
