Great service! We had a little red wine incident Friday eve and decided to have our LR, DR and entry cleaned as we had been planning to do in the fall. Called after hours, but someone picked up and said they would try to fit us in on Saturday. Driver called Sat afternoon while in the area but we were out. Instead, they came Monday morning at 9am and returned all of the carpet to looking like new. Only down side: $5 surcharge for using a credit card. read more

We had our Lazy Boy recliner, a couch, and two carpets cleaned. Wish I had done it sooner it was so easy! Daniel (hope I'm remembering his name corrrectly!) came and did an estimate and two days later, our furniture and rugs look and smell amazing. The two man crew arrived on time and were courteous and clearly knew what they were doing. I do not like "scented" cleaning solutions and what is AMAZING is that the house/furniture/rugs are clean and don't have any scent other than CLEAN. OMG. I should have taken a before and after picture of my bathroom tile!!! They did an excellent job. They did a small area to make sure I would be satisfied before they started. I will definitely use them again. I also had them clean a high traffics area white carpet with 2 accident prone dogs. What a HUGE difference!!! Very professional. Nice to talk over the phone; 'cause they want the business but no courtesy on site. Guy would not give me a hand simply to remove sofa (light enough) which my wife and I did. i just did not want my wife to pick/lift because she has had back surgery (in the past). I mean if my wife can do it regardless our concern,don't you think this guy should have been little courteous. All that they care is the MONEY. Secondly, they seem to be expensive. Between a dog and a toddler, my carpet is usually destroyed. I have used this service twice and am extremely pleased. They are consistently professional, punctual, polite, and the work is high-quality. It is absolutely amazing how well they clean my carpets in such little time. My spouse was incontinent for more than a year before she passed. In addition, she twice fell out of bed and cut her head on a bedside table causing considerable blood stains on the carpet. I tried my best to clean up the carpet of blood as well as chairs and sofas of urine and fecal stains, with little success. Excellent Carpet Cleaning came to my home in DC to clean the carpet on the stairs and den of our townhouse. The carpets were in pretty horrible condition and hadn't been cleaned in about 8 years. Two technicians came by and spent almost 4 hours cleaning and when they left, my carpets were virtually back to new! I couldn't believe it!! Last Friday I needed to have my not very large basement carpet cleaned before my housemate moved in. I had little time to spend finding a company and went straight to Yelp. Yelp is my go-to for restaurant reviews, but I rarely access it for services. I am so glad i did. First I called another carpet cleaning company listed on Yelp that had a lot of good reviews. They were booked and couldn't get to me for at least a week, so I called Excellent Carpet. They scheduled me for Saturday at 3:30pm with a note that they would call me if they had a cancellation and would be able to come to me earlier. A little before 9am Saturday, Rashad called me and said he could be at my house at 9:30am. I was out running errands, but rushed home to meet him. He was there already and had unloaded some of his equipment onto my porch. Rashad asked some questions about the age and wear of my carpet. After establishing that my carpet was old (over 10 years) and there were some significant stains, he managed my expectations by saying he couldn't promise miracles but that he thought he could make it significantly better. And he did. It looks great! Rashad was knowledgeable, courteous, and patiently answered all of my questions. He was in and out in under 90 minutes. I am an inquisitive individual and asked Rashad all kinds of questions. It turns out that he is a small business owner who takes his business very seriously. I appreciate small businesses and like to support them whenever I can. I appreciate attentive and responsive small businesses even more. The next day when I got home I found a message on my answering machine from Excellent asking me if I was happy with the work. I also received a notice in the mail a few days later thanking me for my business and listing the other services they offer. When the previous tenants moved out of our house, their cat left many gifts behind. Our whole basement stunk of cat urine. We found Excellent Carpet Cleaning on Yelp and called them in to resolve the stench. Excellent arrived on time, knew exactly what they were doing, gave us a number of clear options at different price points and laid out the pros and cons of each. Given that the urine had soaked through to the pad beneath the carpet, and into the concrete in the neighboring room, we chose one of the cadillac options on our embarrassed landlord's dime. The smell is 100% gone. It was not cheap, but do you really want to pay 1/2 the price to get rid of 1/2 the cat urine odor? It's all or nothing for me. read more

I chose Excellent Carpet Cleaning because they had the best reviews out of all of the companies I saw online. I would definitely use them again and was very impressed. Junior and Adam were my techs. I wanted to have my carpets cleaned, my upholstery cleaned, my tile/shower grout cleaned, and my dryer vent cleaned because I was having problems with my dryer. Junior and Adam walked through the house with me and went over everything they were going to do. Junior didn't think that cleaning my dryer vent would solve my problem (because they couldn't access the whole vent) and was reluctant to do it because he didn't want to have to charge me for something that wouldn't fix it. In the end, I decided I wanted it done, and he did not charge me full price for the service. They did a great job - the carpets looked great. My only complaint was that during my appointment scheduling, I had mentioned I wanted the green carpet cleaning. I forgot to ask if that's what the techs did and they never said anything. They also never asked me what level of service I wanted, so I moved some of the furniture but they went around the rest. I think I got the basic service, but I would have been willing to pay for the step up. The tile grout looks amazing - they got our grey grout on the bathroom floor back to a gleaming white. The shower was a bit tougher but it was definitely an improvement. The upholstery also came our really great, and everything dried quickly. The customer service was very good - they called to confirm the day before, then had to change the time of the appointment. They showed up right on time. The company also followed up with a call the next day to make sure I was happy and sent a letter. This is the first time I've ever had anything like this done, and I was very pleased with Excellent Carpet Cleaning. I would definitely use them again. read more

These guys definitely seem to know what they are doing, and make sure they do it right. I got a call 30 minutes before the technician arrived to make sure I would be available, which I was. Upon arrival they measured all the rooms and stairwells to give me a total, and it was fairly close to the quick estimate given over the phone. The technician explained the benefits and disadvantages of the Berber carpet in my new house and gave me some tips on how to keep it clean and in good shape. About 3 hours after staring he had finished and boy was there a difference. The stale smell in the basement was completely gone and the cat dander that had bothered me since moving in was completely gone. All the stains I showed him were also gone. I have a Honda Accord with a beige interior and my kids dirtied it up pretty good. When I arrived to Excellent Carpet Cleaning Rashad was outside and greeted me. He told me he would do his best to get the color of the interior of my car back to its original color. I had my two year old with me and I was planning to take the bus back home but he said they offered a free ride if I lived within a 5 mile radius. What luck! Not only did he give me a ride home but he also picked me up when my car was ready! The inside of my car has never looked better. No one would ever guess it had shoe prints and dirt all over it. They worked steadily for 4hours and did a great job. They answered questions, went over pricing (which I had received via a phone estimate), and refined the phone estimate to exactly match the job they were doing. The high traffic carpet areas look much better than before. Everything looks and smells fresh. I didn't notice any strong chemical smell during or after cleaning. He doused the room with so much deodorant smell it took weeks for it to come off, and still did not address the pet urine odor. So he came back a second time. We used this company because we needed to stretch a rug that had been improperly installed and had several large lumps in it. They stretched the rug, removed the excess, and installed the correct type of tacking strips for the cement floor of our condo. I waited a year from the installation time to write this review to see how well their work would hold up. The rug still looks perfectly flat, even near the part that is under a treadmill. I love my apartment, its location and the employees who work here. It is peaceful and quiet. One big problem however was roaches and fleas. I decided it would be worth the extra money to have my carpets cleaned and a flea treatment applied. Excellent Carpet cleaning did a fine job. They vacuumed first, and lifted out all the powdered borax in the carpet I tried to use to fight the fleas. Although their treatment is not for roaches a few of the last stubborn ones staggered out of hiding after the carpet was cleaned and treated. With the flea treatment it may be best to clear out of the apt for several hours. Perhaps in the future Excellent carpet will look into some non-toxic, borax based treatments, or something like that.. for people with small children and pets. Anyway, I've never been faced with a situation like this before, but now its been a week free of fleas and roaches and I am back in love with my unit.
